  2. Hawdy nomads Ameenah I totally understand
  3. ^^^since when did Ninxoon move to combodia? lol ------ Like the saying goes give credit where credit is due. I had the opportunity of giving a listen to The Arrival from Sky High Family. The album was quite impressive. The album is very diverse, you can find danceable, hardcore, hassler, slow, somali inspired joints. The beats are very well up to date, i was even more impress with the content. The fellas embrace their somaliness, more often than not you see somali hiphoppers distancing themselfs from somali, but these are different and refreshing. The amount of love, brotherhood, freindship, forgiveness expressed in this album should be highly regarded and duplicated. Also, all this with out a contract or high profile producer.....I commend the entrepreneurship skills.
  4. Somalia's way out is not mini-states, it maybe for now but not long term. Prime example is the fighting between S.lands admin and P.land admin for a small piece of land that is located between the two regions. I don't think we want all types of mini-state admin's fighting for lands to be included in their "mini-state". Also what happens when a city within a mini-state wants to be its own state because the residents feel the gov is not serving their "interest". Where does it stop? cuz everyone will argue self-determination...this would be the name of the game. In saying that... I definitely think each region developing it self is admirable and should be highly praised for the effort. Further,I agree with some of the nomads federal gov is the best alternative. But running rampant with somalia is dead slogan is the least we need now. Pray for unity, if you can't do nothing else. thanks
  5. interesting....looooooooooooooool...crazy world.
  6. very impressive...samatar that is.
  7. - am here...so are others..just not enough energy to post. But jr's are doing good job respecting the rules of the site. keep it up. -Are moderators sleeping though?..their responce time is slower compare to before.
  8. Libaax, congrats sxb, wiil iyo caano iyo gabadh. .net-rumors had it long ago libaax was getting married late 02, but the big ??...is she a nomad too?lol..tell us. MMA..i guess the wifey is from London, so its easier for him to travel than her.
  9. Tammy, thanks for the info! -- I watched the show tonight, although i saw only half of the show, it was very informative. The show was presented very well and was convincing, also inspirational to watch. I enjoyed how they interwined the prophets life with contomprary life now. Hopefully a lot of non-muslims watched the show, because it will give them insight to the prophets life and islam. *Can anyone confirm if everything on the show were correct?..not sure the accuracy of the whole show. -- Bachelor the hate mail already started, just chck mainstream media websites. -- *Please nomads go show your support to 'pbs.org' so they can show and fund these kind of T.V programs in the near future.
  10. So after all the missiles weren't headed for Horn of Africa?...good news. This shows the U.S is eager to blame everything on horn of africa.
  11. ^^^^adapting kids is one option, but nothing compared to your own kids. I wouldn't mind if my wife takes that route, meaning fertility drugs, its cool.
  12. You should grab them from the wall than and show what you working with,,,,,,,,, than am sure they won't go back to the wall...lol
  13. What exactly are the young doing too?..That is perfect  this mentality of i know it all, anyone else is not my concern is doom for failure!
  14. Does it really matter who is victorious..? R.I.P to those who lost their lives on this tragic event. This is not a laughing matter.
  15. wallahi this age thing is getting out of hand ...lol..am already 23 damn. Taqwa..good to see you breathing sxb,lol.. good adv too.
  16. nomads To think youth my them selves can reconstruct the whole somali society is naive by it self. Our elders have became folks you can't live with and can't live without. So we are stuck with them. But there are number of elders who have good things to contribute and would be an asset to any movement, to completely ignore them would be counter productive. We need their experience and wiseness(is this a word). However,I completely support any youth movement that wants to do something positive for their country. that doesn't mean they are disregarding our elders input. Like mujahid i think balancing both inputs would bring good results. EID WANAAGSAN
  17. Can anyone tell us what exactly Pro. Samatar said..(which one was it, cuz there is 2 Pro.Samatars)..also I doubt if the whole lecture was about somalis Biological Deficiency, what is his reasoning for this? did he do sceintific research?
  18. Dhaqan celis sounds good, walahi some people i know are in great need of dhaqan celis ,lol Seriously, i think this is good idea and the positive outweights the negative. But also i think a parent or older family member should leave with and stay with the Jr's there, just drop and leave is not going to work, because the kids would not understand the society and rebel to the culture. if nothing else, the most usefull result that would come out of this is if the kids go to dugsi quran, that it self would be priceless experience
  19. sxb....the article is responding to the professor, but who is the professor?..what his relationship to somalis?...anyhow...the artice was well written.
  20. muraad i think you're right, your theory makes sense sxb, also i think the nomads were just sarcastic about nugaal nothing serious. MMA your barre phobia is on full effect.. sxb somali news papers use standard somali today because of its originality and common understanding of their audience, meaning all somalis no matter what region they from understand it and can easily read. If it werent original our pple could have easily returned to what ever dialect they had before barre, but they hvn't...why?
  21. somalia too has nothing to do with them! I agree with that statement, matter infect the whole article. Che...well put sxb
  22. This is interesting....i do think we as somalis are in great need of nationalism at the moment, atleast nationlist leaders who can develop goal congruence gov system. However if or when dust seattles back home, we can't do anything else with nationalist, because there is no definite economical benefit to nationalist, atleast i can't see it. There comes the advantage of globalisation in regard to economical development. The world is becoming closer more rapidly and globalisation may become system we can't afford to avoid. So we should embrace it and take advantage before it takes advantage of our resources(if it hvn't already). Peace
