  1. Isn't the majority Amhara in Addis. Who owns most of businesses?
  2. Of course the Oromo also served King Haile Salasie. Ok, tell about these Agnew people. Among the 18 million Amhra how many are Agnew?
  3. maakhiri, Get off from your high horse. Aren't we Somalis breed the same away. Six or seven kids an average. We should look ourselves in the mirror. We might live in the west but that is Africa. It was just yesterday that Menelik and highlanders landed our land. Things could be ugly but that is how things change for the natives. THe colonials are out and the native Oromo is in. It will take time for them to learn the ropes. Have we gain anything for the last 27 years of Wayaane rule or we lost everything although we cannot blame everything to others. Folks, we need this shake up. We welcome Mr. Lemma Magrasa, he could not be worse than Meles. .
  4. I agree with that. after the war of 1977, Mengistu mobilize people to save Ethiopia. It wa during the war the he consolidated his dictatorship. What became strange was both countries were in the communist camp. Unlike you guys , I do not see Oromo shedding a lot blood this time around. They are achieving their goals through peaceful protest and striking in major cities which crippled the country. This OO guy is always keep talking about insignificant things that has no bearing to the reality, This issue will not be decided by Agnew or any non significant people. Does anyone one of you Somalis ever met someone called Agnew?, I never. This issue is about Oromo rejecting Tigray power in Ethiopia. It is illegal power gained by the barrel of the gun and nothing else. How can people who are 5% of the population could dominate the rest of 95% percent. No emergency powers will stop the revolution. He has been in these pages for months yet, he never told us one single information about the events that are taking place. He never told us about the extraordinary meeting of the EPRDF which was debating for weeks about finding a leader that could save Ethiopia. Some said let us get rid of HMD now, while others said let us prepare for next election. He Keep repeating about Siyum doing that or how oromo will lose if it does not behave. The threat card TPLF has is to disband Ethiopia , and personally I like that idea. The Oromo is achieving it's goals without huge blood or violence with guns. The most prominent intellectual magazine in America , The Atlantic, said there about the Oromo revolution: "Ethiopia's Oromo population is celebrating a victory today that is probably unprecedented in African history. Without extensive violence or bloodshed, and while almost all of its leading voices languished in jail, a grassroots protest movement has managed to force one of the most powerful regimes in Africa to surrender to its demands" "As an organized strike involving tens of thousands of Oromo youths drew closer to the capital city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopian authorities agreed to release a host of important political prisoners, including Bekele Gerba, a compelling activist whose release from prison the government has fiercely resisted. (Just the week before, Bekele had been sentenced to an additional half-year behind bars, for the crime of singing a protest song in front a judge.) The main issue is how to overcome differences of opinion between the so-called "moderate" and "hardliner" factions with the Tigrean People's Liberation Front (TPLF), which is the most powerful faction with the ruling party. "The TPLF alarm is s alarm is well-founded; the only question is whether its belated concessions to the protests, after years of growing unrest, may be too little, too late. Anger at the perceived economic and political dominance of the small Tigrean ethnic faction is a moving force behind the protests, and the threat of a genocide or other targeted ethnic violence against Tigrean individuals appears to be escalating. Fearful Tigrean citizens have reportedly relocated in large numbers from the Amhara and Oromo regions of the country". The issue is simply between the power holders (TPLF) who must give up and the Oromo who must be accomodated. The only truth you told all these months is that the Amhara were trying to use the Oromo to get the power, while the Oromo is well aware f that and want everything for themselves. Tilamook and others told you that devolution of power and genuine power sharing with other federal satea will only work for Ethiopia. You are trying to give a boost to the hired mercenary Illey by making him a legitimate voice of Somais like Lemma Magrasa who is representing the interest of his people. That is false. The Somalis who were arrested illegally are languishing in Ethiopian jails. The most prominent Somali prisoner is Bashie A. Makhtal who was kidnapped from Kenya. Canadian government had tried every available chanel to release him. His grandfather was the founder of Somali independent movement in Ethiopia. In 1991, he told Meles that his movement is older than his so called TPLF by three decades and does not want to be apart of Ethiopia. The Wayaane does not respond to peaceful negotiations or these Somalis could have been freed long time ago. We need to rise up in Jijiga, Jinacsani, Awbare and Dire Dawa to force the TPLF to release Somalis rotting in jail. You introduced to us like someone who is pointing to us who our enemies are. Your whole campaign was Oromo is eating your children. The whole TPLF project was sustained by the so called war on terror. In 2005, Meles was in the ropes after he was challenged by opposition with huge protests. After the invasion of Somalia in 2006, Meles got hundred of millions from America which allowed to crush his opponents. The Islamic Courts of Somalia saved Meles. The TPLf is making billions on the war against Al-shabaab. According to the Atlantic, "Ethiopia has also proved very willing to retaliate against diplomatic pressure by holding American security interests hostage: in September 2017, for example, when the House Subcommittee on African Affairs attempted to pass a resolution drawing attention to Ethiopia's human rights abuses, Ethiopia's then-ambassador to the United States, Girma Birru, visited the Subcommittee members and threatened to withhold counterterror cooperation in Somalia. Faced with this threat, the Subcommittee immediately abandoned the resolution. (The Subcommittee threatened yesterday to bring the resolution to the floor for a vote on February 28, unless the Ethiopian government gives UN investigatory teams access to the country" As you can see, Ethiopia is making billions of dollars from the Pentagon since to 2006. Average yearly aid, mainly on intelligence, weapons and eavesdropping stations are $700 million a year. Sometimes it even reaches a billion dollar. Most of these money goes to the ruling party and their intelligence and economic interest. Al-shabaab is the best cash cow for the TPLF and Ethiopia. The end of Al-shabaab means the Pentagon security aid would dry quickly. Within Somalia, especially in Hiiraan, Bay and Bakool, and Jubba, the Ethiopian forces usually make un announces deployments and unexpectedly abandoning positions and bases without the knowledge of the Somali government. Usually they abandon their position at down and as soon as they leave Al-shabaab fighters who have direct contact come in and take the weapons left behind for them by the Ethiopian army intelligence. That is why the Somali government is planning the removal these Amisom troops. The status quo is unacceptable. I hope the next prime minister to be Oromo and from the Muslim community, because most of those seeking change are from the eastern region north of Dire dawa, Adama and southern Addis. The Oromo in the east like Jima, Walega or in the Sudan border are not that active.
  5. Because of the Oromo strike there were no Qat for few days. Some African business reporters say it costs Somaliland 560 million a year. Imagine 200,000-300,000 dollars of hard currency leaving your community every day for drugs and doing nothing. The Hapless Jeegaan is trying to squeeze only the poor by forcing them to use the worthless dollar. Millions are leaving through Xawaala and other meaning. Rather than control the currency flight by the rich, they target only the poor. They can not stop the Qat because Mama Ethiopia will be angry.

  7. MMA, Saaxiib raali ahow I forget to answer your questions. I know the family you referring to but we are not related. I borrowed the name from a great politician called Galbeedi who hails from Gabiley. Allah ha u naxariisto he passed away 20 years ago.
  8. It just a garbage. By the way, if Somaliland separates from Somalia, so does Awdal from Somaliland. I am curious, why the secessionists care about Somalinimo. Isn't Oodweyne who said the South is " Gudhu, garawaa, iyo Qadaad weyn" oo Geella Somaliland ee laga iga qaaday meel fog ma jiro mar hadaan dhulka Granwaga iyo Xamar la gaynayn. We in Awdal share a project with you guys, but we never hate people even if they transgress. Our towns are welcomed to Somalis and everyone knows. 75% of the people killed in Hawadaay were Awdalites, yet we never hurt the innocent Oromo in Borama. It is not our nature. Yet, if you seperate, things will be different. We might even join the Zone 5 and create huge second country of Somali Galbeed. Puntland and others might also separate. So , please do not play with fire.
  9. Tilamook, The Oromo might not take the whole power at the moment, but certainly things will not be the same. I think Ethiopia is different than Egypt. In Egypt the army is it's own institutions like in Pakistan, they control most of the economy and the country for 4 years. In Ethiopia, while the officers are Tigray, most of the soldiers are from Amhara and Oromo. Also, as of 2017, these ethnic zones fully control their regions. The 40 million Oromo could shut down the whole country and no one can force them to work. The TPLF can not operate with impunity this time. They might not lose the whole power immediately but things will never be the same. Folks, we should not fear for change. I always believed that these Somali regions, especially Somaliland was the continuation of the colonial projects to subdue Somalis. Have you the British guy run to Hargeisa the moment Biixi got broke and provide 25 million dollars. Why not offer these relieve when there was real drought. A Wayaane troll came here for the first time and told us Oromo is eating your children and Tigray love Somalis. He was trying to impress his Somali zones inside the repulic. Any way, let us get the pope corn and watch while some Somalis worry about the loss of the Tigray.
  10. The power of the horn is slowly shifting to the Somalis and to Mogadishu. The resignation of the prime minister of Ethiopia and the vacuum it create d is unprecedented in that old empire. He did not wait nor arranged for his replacement , but he quit abruptly. The decline of the minority Tigre in Ethiopia was under way since 2015, when the Oromo and Amhara protested against the Tigray dictatorship. for those years, the Tigray army has killed hundreds of Oromo protesters with live bullets. Finally, the Oromo and others have lost the fear of being arrested or killed . They organized massive protests that crippled the country. The Tigray leadership and their puppet prime minister arrested prominent Oromo Leaders and called for emergency rule. That too did not work anymore. In order to divert the attention and create ethnic civil war, the Tigray intelligence in coordination with leader of the Somali Zione Cabdi Illey had created a killing squad that raided villagers in the middle of the night. The killing of Oromo civilians by the Liyu police continued since 2015 when these communities rose against the Tigrat dictatorship. Oromo civilians were raided and killed in day light by federal army and Liyu police , and in turn a masacker style retaliation by Oromo has taken the lives many Somalis. Somalis who were supposed to be in save heavens controlled by the federal army were suddenly allowed to be massacred by the Oromo mob. Communities that inter married and lived together for hundred of years were been pitted against each other. The Oromo, who were been shot like dogs by the Tigre Army just a year go by hundreds while protesting peacefuly, are now depicted in the media as lynching mobs or those who are against peace and coexistence. The Oromo were oppressed for 400 years by Amhara led system, and now a small minority Tigray who are 5% of Ethiopia population have been oppressing and dominating everyone including the Oromo. Today in Ethiopia , 90% of millionaires and Billionaires are from these Tigray Minority. They dominate the army, intelligence and the economy. They have monopoly in all imports whether it is electronics, clothes, cars or house hold items. Imagine having the monopoly to control the markets of 80 million people.THey have billions worth line of credits from the Tigray controlled banks, and their freight are not taxed at all. They transit their goods directly from Djibouti all the way to the market. They will tax your own clothes in your travel bags in order to keep the monopoly for those who import things. Everyone in Ethiopia is shocked that a small group of highlanders who did not even speak Amharic when they came to Addis in 1991 are dominating every thing. Now, despite what Somalis think , there will be a change in Ethiopia. A caretaker prime minister without real power behind him will not be unacceptable to the opposition. A peaceful transition might take place , but the real test are yet to come. According to analysts a caretaker from EPRDF will not have enough support from the opposition, so the leader is going to be an Oromo prime minister. While the Oromo and Amhara are allies at the moment, it will be difficult to pinpoint who will replace Daselyn. Since the opposition has the upper hand, they might appoint a caretaker who will implement their reforms. One thing is clear, the Tigray will be losers in this game. Before this month, the strategy of the opposition was to protest and block streets, towns and highways, now they have mastered the art of strike which cripples huge towns and regions. The Last strike shut down Dire Dawa, Nazret, Addis , Addana and between. A friend who has family in Dire Dawa told me that there is no movements between cities and towns ,because everyone including Somalis had joined the strike. The Tigray population is out of the power zone. If Makale shuts down , no one will notice, but the Oromo region is the heart of Ethiopian political and economic heartland. The best thing for the Tigray is to transfer power peacefully and keep the order until real elections take place. If they tried to hold on power and rule by emergency, they will be forced to leave behind Addis and evacuate to Makale very quickly. After they go back to their home province of Tigray, Afwork of Eritrea is waiting for them and will even punish them more. As many people suggested, Ethiopia might not totally collapse , but the power center that revolved around the colonial powers like Amhara and Tigray will not be the same. THe Tigray do not mind to elevate their cousins the Amhara, and buy time for a while in order to avoid the Oromo power. Folks, the Tigray have no say at the moment about the next leader. Here top opposition activist Jawar Mohamed: 11 hrs · xtraordinary times call for extraordinary approach. -The country needs a unifying transitional leader. Since we know you will not dare look outside the party, there only person who has such political capital in EPRDF today; its Lemma Megersa. If you worry about rules make him acting prime minister. Remember no matter who takes PM position its temporary and the rule will be managing crisis and transition. Only a person with significant political capital can do that. - If you go any other route you are going down in flames come Friday morning. - May the Almighty be with our people Now, how about the Somalis and those created by the Tigray system since 1991. People like Muuse Biixi , Illey and others are already mourning. A lot of somalis who were protected under the wings of Ethiopia since 1991 will be exposed . Almost all the of the Somaliland army officers have direct line to the Ethiopian regional command in Harrar. A former Somali colonel told me tonight that Ethiopia spent millions for weapons and training to strengthen the regional armies including the Somaliland army. He told me that no regional security force in Somalia can conduct any operations without their consent . In other words , there will not be one single regional entity without them. Those who try to escape the domnation and and try to seek understanding with federal government are punished politically and security wise. That is why Muuse Biixi on behalf of Ethiopia is willing to attack Tukaraq and willing to go all the way to Garoowe to punish Cabdi Weli Gaas. Both Tigray , Illey and Somalilnand have spent their energy to deny the Oromo any weapons that might threaten the Tigre regime. Now, the new Oromo prime minister might not be interested in keeping despots like Illey to oppress people. The Awdal army might get an opportunity to come and go to their communities on both sides of the border. The Jeegaan army will probably vacate Sool and Sanaag and come to Wajaale and Hargeisa to protect their business investment while abandoning the east. We the Awdalites who want to have their own free state which is the dream of every Awdalite can challenge the separatists since Illey would not be able to block us from intermingling with our border community. The Oromo leadership might not work against the Somali state and disband all these puppet governments created by the Tigray criminals. An Oromo leadership has no interest to disintegrate Somali republic. Worst of all, Somaliland got a warlord as a leader who is already the target of everyone. If they allowed Cirro they would have survived few more years, but with this guy, they are really toasted. A lot of Somalis who are in their late twenties , thirties or even late thirties who became adulties in the year after 2000, have been brainwashed or brought up by the idea of big Mama Ethiopia being the indispensable nation. Those same tribal boys who are merely interested about the survival of their clan fiefdoms, are keep repeating how Ethiopia should stay the way it is or how Oromo will be a horrible group that will eat our children. They have been watching all their adult lives about their leaders kissing the ring of the king, and for them it's unthinkable that someone might challenge that power, otr the possibility of Ethiopia disappearing altogether. The Oromo are 40 km meters from the Somali border, whether you like them or not, they are our neighbors, we share both faith and culture and we intermarry among us. They are called Cali, Omar, and Xaliimo. For the last two years since 2015, these Oromo were shot and killed in the streets like dogs when they were peacefully protesting against the Tigray dictatorship. Now that they united and get their power of change at hand, the Tigray trolls and their Somali " Dabadhilf" are calling them lynching mobs, savages or somebody who want to eat their children. It was last year that I saw the first campaign to discredit them when a English articles described how an Oromo man expelled his own Somali wife who had three children with, while she told him she loved and begged to stay, with no avail. the article said, " He told her go to the Somalis". How can anyone throw away his wife and mother of his children?. It was all calculated. THank God that issue is no more. Here in SOL there is someone who has a full time job to tell these boys how to hate the Oromo and keep serving their Tigre friend who came for them from three thousand miles. He keeps repeating how Oromo is against peace. The european colonials used to call independent movements savages , crazy or anarchists. Some are motivated by their enclave others are hell bent to keep their tribe in power regardless of the consequences. I was one of those who grew up under the domains of the " Kacaankii Barakeysnaa". Siyaad barre might have been ruthless man when it comes to protecting his power, but there were certain characters that nation had. WE never feared our neighbors, and guys LIke C/qadir Yam Yam told us " Soomaali Baan ahay nina Kabaha Uma sido". Our neighbors feared us. General Cali Samater said, " when the Kenyans see the Somali soldier, they used to throw their guns and run away". We never have imagined in million years, an Amhara will reach the sacred Indian Ocean of Somalia. We might come from Borama or Boosaaso, yet we could settle in Mogadishu, Baidoa or Hargeisa. These were the Somali cities of our time and we could live whichever one we wished. Muqdisho ama Garoowe Anaaga leh ma jirin. How times are changed. Since that lion Siyaad barre died all these boys are trying to do since 1991 is to be the best " Dabadhilif". Some cannot fathom the freedom seeking Oromo or their daring protest to face the bullet. Folks that was what we were in 1956-1960. Everyone of these boys is rooting for the survival of the Tigray despot who came from three thousand miles away in order to save his tribal enclave. In 1960, when european colonialism left Africa , they left behind some kind of care takeer guys to keep the system running, but at this stage, all those who came with Tigray since 1991 and after will be leaving with them including Cabdi Illey. Just over a year ago, I was one of those who favoured a strong leader to keep the Somalis in Zone 5 to avoid anarchy. Yet, after seeing his collusion with the Tigray intelligence to masacre both Somalis and Oromos to saw discord and civil war, I decided that he must go. If you kill your own people in the middle of the night and bury the next day to score points for your masters, then you have blood in your hands, and you must leave. All the Somali communities in Jigjiga and between have agreed that Illey must go away with his masters. Even those from Somaliland who used to hate him and described him as the manifestation of yesterday's dictatorship would like him to be tough and protect Somalis from the Oromo who want to eat their children. Whether you like it or nor the Oromo are here and the Tigre guys are heading to their original homes in the highlands. Learn to live with the Oromo. Folks, I am 100% sure that if the Tigre dictatorship loses power, there will not be Somaliland , Jubba land or others. These regions could very well be organized and run by Somalis in the future, but at the moment all their economic and legitimate powers comes from the Tigray regime. It is Ethiopia who asks grants and aid for them. All their military hardware comes through Ethiopia, so does their diplomatic moves and security arrangements. These armies are created to kill only Somalis and no one else. Walaalayaal, Caawa Geeri ayaa loo fadhiya meelo badan oo dhulka soomaaliyeed ka mid xaga qaar keen aan ka dalbaadaegyno. Folks, we are coming to get the children that will be orphaned by the Tigre masters. We will not harm them , but will take them to their original home Mama Somalia. On the other hand, This morning, after I read the thread by Che about the resignation of the Ethiopian prime minister, I did stop to the Tim Hortons and grabbed two dozen donuts that cost me $20 dollars. The company employees asked me .What was the occasion, I did tell them something else, but quietly I said "Dhag dheer dhimatoo dhulkii waa nabad." Folks, Somalia is rising. Since the time of Romans power usually resided in certain places. As Washington became the seat of power in modern history, Ethiopia became the power center of east Africa since the collapse of the Somali nation. Every political move that was undertaken by Somalis or others were centred in Addis Ababa. From 1994 till today, the major powers of the world led by United States had contracted Ethiopia to manage the affairs of the Somali state. As Ethiopia looks in ward to resolve itès crises, that power center is coming back to Mogadishu. Unlike many like you, I had simple formula for EThiopia and it never changed for the last 17 years. When you have plan , you stick to your plan until you get a better one. I accepted that the Ethiopia of today which is a colonial empire that must have finished long ago, can not exist as it is. THe status quo is unacceptable. My options were two. One , a multi ethnic, multi religious and plural democratic country based on democracy and elections where people elect their leaders, or two, a Yugoslavia style Ethiopia that must disintegrate on ethnic lines which is already been set up by the Tigray leaders. Anything else is just buying time before the eventual collapse. Since we grew up in proud Somalia, we always believed that the power of the horn must stay within the Somalis who inhabit the largest land mass and the most strategic geography in the horn of Africa. Folks, as we speak, that power that undermined the Somali national state is collapsing and will never be the same. Somalis from Jijiga to Hargeisa , all the way to Jubba are mourning tonight. When there is impasse between the federal government and the regional governments during elections or constitutional issues, the regional entity would never accept any deal without Ethiopia guaranteeing . In 2018, the Somali state is rising not because we got the best leaders, but we changed our attitude toward the national government and showed some unity among us. Allah never changes the conditions of a people unless they change in their heart. It seems we Somalis have changed what was in our heart and this new leader Farmaajo seems to be a blessed man who is bringing Somalis to their destiny of nationhood. When Farmaajo visited Puntland and Galmudug, by the grace of Allah, the people changed their heart and decided to obey and follow the leader since he was doing the right thing . Somalia is rising because we accepted to help ourselves and we allowed those who were elected and given the mandate to fulfill their obligations toward the public, and since then they have taken their commitment seriously. Hundred of Somalis are freed from foreign jails, the wounded and those hurt by the actions of the terrorists were cared for and healed, national army were recruited and assembled, accountable and responsible government is emerging, while brotherhood and unity were called among Somalis around the globe. At the same time , our enemies have began to quarrel among themselves. I just want to conclude that, Somalis, do not worry about what others do to change their life , but for a moment look back and analyze the damage done to us by Meles, and his cohorts for the last 25 years. Stop worrying how mother Ethiopia will be disaster if the Tigray lose power. Why not you worry about the half million Somalis living misery in Dhadhaab refugee camps?. Do you have any idea about the lives of the millions of Somalis who are denied trade and livelihood within zone five?. You might be sipping coffee in Hargeisa, Mogadishu or London, but the Somali people are suffering today due to the harsh and oppressive treatment of that regime. Every weapon used by Al-shabaab paases through Ethiopia. THey are the reason we can not build our army or integrate our reigns with the federal government. If you want to talk about disaster, go help the Somalis who are starving from Lughaya all the way to Hiiraan. By the way , the singer, Cabdi Kaamil Cawaale is my uncle from Dilla, Awdal. Allah ha u Naxariisto.
  11. Oo amhara are unacceptable to us. I want tplf out doesn’t mean I want Amhara who are our real enemies. They are the real colonials. Tigray guy is not acceptable to Oromo or swapping the two groups is not an option. The Oromo time is up. What at a big news talk to you guys this evening after work
  12. Well, general Gabre want to disarm everyone except the Wayaane. If they a worthless organization that is in "total shambles" why bother to negotiate. Now is not the time for talks. The ONLF must sit down with Oromo and Amhara opposition. The puppet government of Desalyn is going down as the days go by. THey want to organize the Somali movements and use them against the opposition. Oromo is rising and we should rise with. We are working together in Dire Dawa already. We do not know about these TPLF boys. We do not share any land or regions. At least we may meet some Amhara in Dire Dawa or other places, but we have no contacts with evil highlanders from Makale. Let them defend themselves since they have all the weapons. Soomaalidu Xaabo tigreegu dabka ku shido noqon mayno. As they say, Down with Wayaane.
  13. Maakhir1, Isn't that harsh?. The guy said he follows the constitution and doesn't need lectures from others.
  14. In Dire Dawa both the Oromo and Somalis demonstrated together. Ethiopia is changing. How on earth Somali ONLF want to capitulate while the Wayaane is on the ropes. Is it money or something?
  15. Brother, I never mentioned any talks. You can't imagine how we would all love a united and harmonious brothers. I was just needling Galayr about Khaatumo.
  16. In early nineteen eighties, as high school student, the Kacaanka government bused students and brought them to Dal Jirka Dahsoon , Muqdishu. I was one of those students,. Late president Siyaad Barre, Cali Samatar, Muuse Rabiile, and Mohamed Sheikh Osman were the speakers. I remember exactly like yesterday. Everyone including the president spoke about people getting of the Revolutio bus, yet the bus will continue it's journey. The occasion was Siyaad Baree arrested some of the prominent members of the revolution and called " Laba Kaclayntii Kacaanka". A lot of wise people including his own family told Siyaad Baree, " Mar Haddi Ragii kacaanka kula waday aad xidhay, dawladaadu meel ma gaadhayso.'. Now, this Ducaale guy is probably amused about Galayr, the one man caravan calling others as getting off the bus. Folks, we have seen this film long, long time ago. I think the bus had left Galayr long ago yet he does not realize.
  17. Oodweyne, If you think tribal bloodline will make a better system or government, you haven't learned anything about politics. You might use identity politics or tribal allegiance to gain power, but once you get elected you must use common sense and work for the common good of all the people. Good politicians are forced to play the bad game of electioneering which is corrupt, unjust and forces them to pander to the lowest common denominator, but once you get elected you must inspire people and do the right thing. Obama might appeal to the needs and aspirations of the black Americans in the democratic primary, and then appeal to the laeger white middle class in general election, yet when you attain power, you must empower people and try to give the tools to achieve success. A warlord like Muuse can only go as far as his incompetence. It all started in a village called Garadag in Sanaag where Siilaanyo cried for his tribe to help him win against Rayaale. Even the leader of the Guurti Saleebaan Gaal , who was member of UDUB party, was called to attend the tribal gathering of Siilaanyo. Waxa lagu yidhi Siilaanyo ka hor leexo. The Jeegaan replaced a working government and transformed to a tribal entity. That is the actions of those who lack both confidence and integrity. There were great men of knowledge and wisdom who understood state craft that campaigned for Muuse Biixi, men like Proff. Samatar, Jamaal Huseen , C/laahi Dheere, and others. It was Proff. Samatar who raised the profile of the warlord and made him human and logical. If people like Samatar kept their distance, Muuse could not go anywhere with likes of Ina Kahin, and Zaylici. Rather than use these men of great wisdom, he chose the typical Jeegaan modus operandi of guarding against great men from other tribes while nominating amatuer yes men. He either have to listen those who know or he will go down with illiterate officials like Ina Kahin, Wasiir Hinda, and criminals like the minister of infrastructure Abdillahi Osman Abokor. Imagine, that in order to tackle the inflation that robbed people of their savings and made many people poor, the warlord president said, " Saddex Maalmood i siiya anaa war ka keenayee". how can anyone could tackle these issue in just three days. Worse of all, he nominated the ' Wasiirka Kaluumaysiga" a man who knows nothing about currency banking or inflation as the chairman of the commission., just he is from Jeegaan. They do not want to address the elephant in the room which is the illegal printing of money by the bank. Samatar told them during the campaign that banking and financial institutions should be independent from political interference and nepotism, yet the Jeegaan thinks, just like tribal elders, politicians and business they can buy their way out to every problem. Dawladnmada waxay u haystaan arrin qabill oo qaydhiinka lagu qaybsanayo. Ma oga in hungurigu wax walba ka weyn yahay. Holac, there are more presidents to came. We expect one from Awdal, another one to replace Cali Khallif for Khaatumo, but the most influential president will be coming from Sanaagland soon. Unlike land and see locked AWdal, the Sanaagland president will have open mountains and Puntland to train and create his own " Maamul'. We warned them but they tried to keep filling their coffers as business usual. Jeegaani dawlad iyo nidaam garan maysee, xukunka iska soo celiya oo ha la idin kala badbaadiyo inta aydan dagaal cusub ridin. Nin soori qaaday waa nin seefi qaaday.
  18. Oodweyne, Just as you promised I was anxiously and waiting your response, and this time you did not disappoint. I was expecting some kind of recycled garbage you used to throw usually, but other than the usual adjectives where you call yourself manly, and everyone else ( Womanly), where you compare men to women folks whom I respect and cherish, It wasn't that bad. I was expecting worse, and was preparing myself not to dignify to answer. In all this response wasn't a bad one. Ninyahow it seems Oodweyne is getting older and more mature than his usual tantrums. If your issue is about principle and holding your line until you achieve what you sought , then you are better man than I thought. I joined SOL late 2013, and didn't know what proceeded me, and I take your word for your stand on this issue. Just as you, my stand on the issue of secession, I never changed my stand for the last three decades or so. In fact until they year 2000, before the Carta conference, I did not pay much attention to Somaliland issue. I knew the agenda of the government, but I always considered the project to be temporary matter created by necessity. God is my witness, I never support or even liked Daahir Rayaale. His Awdal supporters used to attack me when ever we meet in any gathering. " Muqdishu iyo meel balaayo ka socota maxaa ku daba dhigay " was their usual statement, although those same guys who used to bug me in every turn changed colours and became AWdal state after Siilaanyo announced his government. I understood them, but never supported them in public. at that stage, I was Hiil-Qaran activist. In 2008, at the height of Rayaale administration, I was member of northern unionists in North America and publicly participated most of the forums including in Alberta. I became very interested in Somaliland issues after the massacre of the travelers between Gabiley and Dilla. I said, Rayaale did his best to hold fair and free elections, and build lasting institutions, yet for evil reasons the opposition decided to shed blood for power, that was when I started following the project. Also, as early as 2003, I wanted Siilaanyo to defeat Rayaale for the interest of future union. Since Rayaale was not a member SNM and former officer of the Somali intelligence, I thought that it would be difficult to negotiate with the southern Somalia, because the usual "Habro" will cry Somalia ayuu nagu wadaa oo waxii aanu usoo dagaalanay ayuu duminayaa'. I thought that the Habro would not say the same thing about Siilaanyo since they call him Mujaahid. Of course for the last few years I was little bit more immersed of the political side of the project, but never favoured the separation. Also, since there were problems of war and insurgency in the south, we always supported a peaceful Soomaliland for a place for Somalis to take shelter and as a result tens of thousand had went to Hargeisa and Borama during these conflict times, and some even call home in those cities especially Borama today. So my soft spot for the people and the land is understandable both for the future of the people and for personal interest. Also, since most Somali regions were either occupied by Amisom and Ethiopia, while others were run by despots like Illey and Cumar Geelle, I thought Somaliland was a place the Somali man can speak his mind without being arrested. Few years ago, I even called Somaliland the only place where the Somali man is free, yet as we have seen lately, due to Tigray and Ethiopia influence, Hargeisa is becoming more despotic and regressive. People are arrested just to make few dollars and imagination and freedom are threat in Somliland than Mohadishu or Garoowe. Also, just as you lost family members for your project, I lost loved ones for the independence of Somalia and for the war of 1977. Our mothers, aunts and others stood the streets from Awdal to Jigjiga to give milk and meat for the soldiers who were heading to the front. My own family member have paid high prices both in Somlia, Somali Galbeed and Djibouti. My own family member ,Dr. Cumar Raabe was the most important figure in the independence of Djibouti. So, as you bled for your tribe we bled for the country. When we were Hiil=Qaran , I spent both time and money to built that organization from zero, yet unlike Wabar, or Awdal state, I never regret any penny I spent for that cause, because it was higher calling than the tribal project. The secessionist boys might not believe for our commitment for the union. It is the arrogance and the actions of the secessionists that forces us to undermine them as they become emboldened especially on the issues of freedom, free speech are free association, combined with public looting and corruption.. The southern Somalis might use tribe in a political situation or during conflict, but do not apply them in daily life and human interactions. If you ever said something about the project and you happen to be in Hargeisa, people even from the diaspora will take the phone and say, " Waar kani beri buu ina caayey" ama waa anti Soomaliland. It does not exist anywhere else. They are delighted if an innocent traveler is arrested for old statements people made. The secionists boys always put question mark about out motivations when we even sincerely state our case. Why would you expect me to like those who have earned material gains they never worked for or never done anything right or just in their life them. You guys hate our guts because we dare to point out your corrupt practises and weaknesses in the media. They steal, pillage and loot, and they want us to clap for them as the same time. You want everybody to claim ," Way duushay". Now, as a logical man, I accept your explanations and your intention to keep dreaming about your own state. I accept your principled stand to hold your dream of reaching your goals, at the a same time , I would like do my part to deny the formation of tribal project that could oppress me and my ilk. Furthermore, I would like to see a functioning institution , small basic development, rule of law and merit based system before we even debate about the so called separation. Try to convince me first if this government or project is worthy of public my support. P.S General gabre, The tigray higanders who never owned ever owned one single shop in Addis are billionaires today, due to public looting. Enjoy while you can. You might impress the kids who want their tribal project, but my antena are up.
  19. As Farah Macalin said, now is not the time to make a deal. Ethiopia is getting weak by the year and may disintegrate sooner than later. If these tribal meeting between Illey and his cousins, then must be treated as such, but if this is ONLF, then they should not make any deal at this stage. I know General Gabre said, " I wish Meles would see this " but we are not amused. The war between Ormo and Somalis are over, and we turned the tide. As we speak , there was a collective demonstration done together by Somalis and Oromos in Dire-Dawa. Through our campaign and that of the " Jidwaaq' community , we stopped at the moment the TPLF and Illey campaign to saw death and destruction among friends. Diridhawa(SBN)Wararka naga soo gaadhaya ayaa sheegaya in mudaharaad balaadhan oo lagaga soo horjeedo dawlada Federaalka Ethiopia uu ka dhacay magaalada Diridhaba mudaharaadkan ayaa noqonya kii ugu horeeyay ee kadhaca caasimada labaad ee dalka kaas oo sida la sheegay iska hor imaad dhex maray ciidamada Booliska Fedaraalka iyo dadka Mudaharaadayay waxaana inta la ogyahay ku geeriyooday laba qof oo ay haleeshay Rasaas nool nool oo loo adeegsaday Dhinaca kale waxa la sheegay in markii ugu horsysay mudaharaadka ay di wadajir ah uga wada qayb qaateen Oramada iyo Somalida oo iyagu wada daga magaalada Xaalada Guud ee Ethiopia ayaa ah mid aan daganayn mudooyinkan danbe kacdoono badana kaga furmeen meelo badan oo dalka ah meelaha qaarkoodna aanay dawlada dhexe katalin ama tagiba karin diyaarado mooyee These hundred years ols land issue will not be resolved by Illey and his stooges. Also, the time has come to rebuild Western Somali liberation Front (WSLF) to prepare for the future take over of the region. We Somalis must be proactive, we can start the process now and create a movement in the diaspora that could take over the country as soon as the TPLF goes down. Somalis who feared for their life went to Jinacsani the Oromo Zone and were welcomed. We are joining with our Oromo brothers.
  20. Few weeks ago, I thought this oodweyne character was probably a Jeegaan who was working overtime to help his hapless Jeegaan in the media. Since then , through his statements and some hard facts, I accepted that Oodweyne is indeed a West Burco guy albeit a bad one. Although it is hard to sift through his long drivels which are mostly meaningless balderdash, few things appear from his writings. First , despite his educational background and living in advanced country like Britain, Oodweyne just thinks like old Gadhcase who is sitting in Hotel Maansour and judging everything in terms of his tribal camels and guarding himself against the old tribal rivals of Southern Somalia. Second while he keeps the merits of his tribe and their rights against anyone else, he conveniently ignores the tribal actions of the Jeegaan for the some unknown reason. Although he might claim that the Somaliland project is paramount to him , he ignores those whose actions might undermine both the project and cohesiveness of the community. Like most tribal die hards, he is a symbol of contradictions. I tried to analyze what drives Oodweyne to ignore the unforgivable errors of the Jeegaan if he is genuine person who cares about people and their plight. Since then , I came in two conclusions. First, these are the actions of those whose bread are buttred by the Jeegaan. In other words, they are earning their groceries. That is usually the behaviours of guys who will always work with whomever government that comes to power. Cawil C. Ducaale comes to mind ,who went from Udub to Siilaanyo and now Biixi. I will not say anything more than that about Cawil since he is your maternal uncle and I, Galbeedi , will be honourable unlike the " Gun" Jeegaan. Second, Useful idiots. These Kind of actions are the behaviours of those from West Brco who are described by the Jeegaan as useful idiots. Just like the first group, these guys are also rewarded handsomely in terms of money , but they are also given ministerial positions, not for their individual capacity, but for their tendency to keep singing what we call in the Somali tradition the typical " Noolow Madaale iyo Guulwadayn". This characters are chosen specifically to be deployed against their own kin to further the Jeegaan agenda. THere was this friend of mine from east Burco , and when I ask him about the reasons they keep using old farts like Warancadde who is not a Kulmiye, He used to say, " Waxaan ku Karbaashaynaa kuwa reerkiisa ee dowlada ka soo horjeeda". Another useful idiot from West Burco was a man by the name of Cadaani who left Minneapolis with Ahmed Samatar and became the laughing stock of his own community. He said, "Mujaahid Siilaanyo dar Illahay baan U jecelahay". He was specifically deployed to insult chairman Cirro and company. Every time someone from WAddani camp or West Burco community said something bad about Siilaanyo and his government, this useful idiot Cadaani , will hold the court to insult Cirro and everyone on behalf of the Jeegaan. After the election was over, he was kicked in the teeth and thrown out. In fact, when he was transferring his ministerial position, he cried like a baby. This behaviour is not only specific to West Burco, but all across Somaliland. If you said something bad against the Jeegaan ruling class your cousin or Suldaan will come to the microphone and dp the usual attack. Having seen your behaviour since you came back from home after the election, you are trying hard to atone the crimes of the Jeegaan. You never said openly that the election was rigged by Kulmiye, and they must be accountable in every move they make. You just kept repeating your tribal metaphor of expecting your tribal cousins to give you the power next time. Well, the leader might have been from your clan, but millions of people have wronged and robbed, and we are not willing to take it anymore quitely. Furthermore, you keep attacking my motivations and saying that I have an agenda to put down Somaliland. My friend, let me give you the news. I hate the Jeegaan and I want to dismantle it . I want to dismantle the entrenched system of the Jeegaan before they get more power and oppress all of us. Since you also claimed openly to install " Calan Isaaq" in Somaliland, I also intend to fight that tribal flag since I am not that tribe. Unlike those who you keep telling to stay away of Somaliland, I am stakeholder, and will not keep quiet while you and your proxies deny my family the basic needs like water. $152 million has been spent to provide water for Hargeisa, and after six years, nothing tangible are expected. Where did the money go. Distance from Hargeisa is not an issue. even 40 km of distance could be piped easily. The land is not complicated like rivers, marsh land or passing huge mountains. All they need is dig trenches, bury the water pipe and install pumping stations to reach the city. Everyone one who spoke against the theft was fired, and fools like you who is eating his cake who is probably buttred by the Jeegaan will not raise a peep. You know Oodweyne, If I were you, I would call your uncle Cawil who is well connected in Hargeisa, and apply a job from the jeegaan. Instead of insulting Reer Baydhabo and MMA, Galbeedi or Puntlanders and others, you could take a job as a useful idiot and start insulting your own community and chairman Cirro. You could do really well and get paid at the same. here you said , ", but he is an idiot who can't accept the fact that he was not "match-fit", or much of an opponent against Mr Biixi. In particularly in a "manly business" . You already fired the first shot on behalf of warlord Bixxi, and you could do more. Oodweyne said, "Instead of waiting his time in a "manly silence", licking his party's wounds in the privacy of his party's head-quarter". Now you want even the opposition leader to be quite. Isn't the job of the opposition to attack the government when they transgress. They just kidnapped a deputy mayor and a city councilman from Oodweyne, in the middle of the night . Did you said anything about the 3am kidnapping?, no. This man was honorable and acted as gentle because his community asked him to not aggravate the issue and leave alone the senile man who was sick. In 2014, Siilaanyo and his lieutenants came to Burco and had a big meeting with west Burco community. Siilaanyo said, " Waar ragyahow nin aad soo wada dagaal gasheen oo abaal idinku leh baan ahay, haddana oday 75 jir ah ayaan ahaye ma waydaan ii quudhayn in aan madaxweyne ahaado inta ii hadhay". Since the West Burco community is " Gob" and honourable, they decided not to publicly attack him or oppose him since he will be retiring soon. That was a mistake that community did. The issue is not about an old man or tribal issue, it was about government and president who should be accountable about the actions of his government. The jeegaan does not play by the honor rule and respect. Boqor Buur Madow, a warlord from East Burco, went to the media and said, " Todobadii sano ee aanu madaxda ahayn H/Y way naga baqaysay'. By the way, most of the east Burco elders are honourable and do not frequent the media. Who knows, they might copy others and start now. Now, this Oodweyne guys says we must be silent and allow the Jeegaan to keep transgressing. You look things in tribal lenses when you dealing everyone else, yet you give a pass to jeegaan. So, make up your mind. Either join the Jeegaan and defend them even when they steal, or join the opposition and try to replace the Jeegaan. If you are not ready neither of those , then stay away and watch the battle from a far. Do not worry about me. My agenda and intention is clear. I do not see a government or an institution, but a tribal project that want to rob all of us including other members of the Duriyada. in the 21st century, government means modern institution that must be managed by well versed technocrats who do not belong to certain tribe. If you go to the city and say I want an electrician from Gabiley, you might not find, yet if you keep insisting, then they will find you someone who is a cook to do the job of the electrician. In this province, the people who manage the healthcare of Alberta earn millions of dollars or four times the salary of the premier. Same thing goes when it comes to those who manage budgets, education and economy. THey are not politicians but highly respected civil servants .I am not here to debate with you. I just want you to make some money for your insults and join the Jeegaan, than
  21. Musuq Maasuq Soomaali waa mehedadeedii. Those of us who follow Somali politics know how far Somali public officials and crooks would go to steal public money. In 2012, Former President Hassan Sheikh and his Damujadiid operatives tried to open an account in Dubai to deposit money that would be recovered from foreign banks. Tens of millions of dollars owned by the Somali state were frozen in foreign banks mainly New York and Swiss Banks. Foreign lawyers hired to recover these assets were successful to recover some of that money and there were high hopes that hundred of millions sitting in those banks could be recovered in the future. The Somali officials hired to facilitate the recovery of the foreign lawyers tried to divert that money to offshore accounts in Dubai. In order to steal the money through the power of the state , they dispatched the deputy finance minister Mahad Salaad--that is the same Mahad Salaad who is trying to obstruct the work of prime minister Khayre--and the Somali ambassador in UAE. They were both empowered by Damujadiid to steal the money. In order to transfer the money, the foreign banks in New York, any demanded that the governor of the Somali central bank to approve and sign those transfers in accounts other than the Somali central bank. Mahad Salaad went to Dubai on behalf of the ministry of finance and the president asked the governor of the Somali bank to go to dubai and sign on the account. Fortunately, the governor of the bank happen to be an honest lady named Yusur Abraar, and she refused to transfer Somali state assets to offshore accounts which might pave the way for embezzlement. After she received couple of direct orders and threatening messages, she decided to resign and she spoke out through the media. The Jeegaan crooks who are more greedy and criminal than any Somali entity we have seen for the last 60 years wanted to steal an investment dollars that was intended either for Wajaale-Berbra road or other agreed upon direct investments. The UAE delayed the funding of some of these projects before the election on the fear that these agreements could be scrapped by the new government. The soft speaking crook, jeegaan foreign minister Sacad Cali Shire, personally asked Muuse Biixi to keep him at the foreign ministry in order to bring the investment and fulfil the agreements signed by Dubai. Sacad Shire, the soft speaking crook who is famous for his " Xaqul Qaklim" schemes to steal money from foreign companies , wanted to cut his own cash from these deals before he leaves office. Also, former ministers and the women who were running Somaliland with Biixi for the last year of the Siilaanyo administration, wanted to get their cut before the money goes to the central bank. THese ladies might be out of the government, but they want to steal as much as possible since financial bonanza under the Jeegaan is looking to dry. Here are the facts of the case about the "Somaliland investment company' in Dubai. First the two people who are in charge of the investment company are both related to the two ladies, one the wife of Ahmed Siilaanyo, the other is the former finance minister who is a well known individual who created most the inflation the destroyed the livelihood of the ordinary people. Second, rather than register this company in Somaliland through the finance ministry and open an account in the central bank, they opened and offshore account without the knowledge of the finance ministry and the bank. Further more, directors of the government investment agency or corporation should be appointed by the president, or the finance ministry to oversee the activities of the agency. Those who are appointed in these investment agencies must be people of high caliper both in financial circles and must posses high degree of integrity and independence. Yet, two wet boys who never managed a shilling were put in charge because of nepotism and corruption. Third, the Somaliland investment ministry does not know the existence of this agency as was clarified by the director of the agency. Forth, in order to cash and divide the proceedings, all relevant crooks from the Jeegaan had met in Dubai as we speak. Among those who were present to loot the public purse were : Saamsam Aadan, former finance minister, Wife of the former president, Mohamuud Xaashi , former chief of staff of Siilaanyo who was acting the de facto president while the old man was taken care off, and their lieutenants, Baashe Morgan, and the nephew of Samsam acting the secretary of the agency. This time the Jeegaan get caught of stealing at the day light, yet as chairman Cirro demanded, someone should resign to atone this crime. Why would a playboy kid who was former musician is allowed to use the Somaliland foreign relations as a family shop to steal money. He should have been fired the day the warlord became president. For the last seven years, millions of dollars of foreign aid and relief aid to help the people were stolen by the Jeegaan and their associates. No one knows what the 64 million SDF went without showing anything tangible. The $152 million dollar Hargeisa water project is utter failure after six years. The minister of the water said today that there will not be any water expected from those wells in " Xumbo Wayne". Six years of lie and millions wasted. He is not a member of the Habro that is probably the reason he is telling the truth. Who knows the Jeegaan might fire him after he told the truth. The Jeegaan is not only ignorant, but ruthless and greedy. Jeegaantu waa Nacab. The media is muzzled, and those with the knowledge were disbanded from these ministries. Siilaanyo and company just came and looted everything and everyone. They acted like a locust that was hungry by taking as much kill as possible before they were disbanded. Certainly these people from Burco and Gabiley are not only hungry but also corrupt and ignorant. They fired all those who would have helped their people to find decent water. They could have went to Borama and study how the water of that city were managed by private and public partnership which is covering 90% of city with less than few hundred of thousand dollars. Yet the Jeegaan spent $152 dollars with no water in sight. Waa Jaahil Jaahil Hagaya. For all these years, the water and mineral ministers were from Jeegaan for a long time. A year ago, a serious man from Laascaanod was the minister and he confronted those who were looting things both in Berbera and Hargeisa. After he spoke, The Siilaanyo boys fired him. Almost all the ministers from the Jeegaan are either ignorant or crooks( Waa Juhalo magac qabiil meesha lagu keenay, ama tuugo xadhkaha goosayat). Here is the lady that was hired because she is Jeegaan: Each tribe is doing it's agenda without coordination. .Imisaan lahayn Qabiil iyo dawladi isma galaan.
  22. Mooge, Watch the end of the clip which Xoosh himself announces the amount of money paid divided by him and the other guys C/raxman Guulwade. The total was $2.2 million dollars. The compound was worth about 450 units, and Xoosh got paid $1.5 million dollars in JUne 2009. He sold $5000 dollars per unit of 20x20, and today those guys are selling 30,000 dollars per unit which six times the original sale. The mistake was Hoosh sold it in 2008 during the height of Al-shabaab war in Mogadishu. At the end of his speech, Xoosh correctly mentions that there was another adjacent compound that he also owns but did not sell to this group which he called " Xerada Ugaadha".He said he still owns that part and will sell if he gets a deal. In my judgement, it seems these guys knowingly or incorrectly also added that other compound after they were only sold the Ex Xoosh compound. If Xoosh is after the second compound which is not sold to by these guys, then , he got a case. Xoosh said he sold 450 units, but will keep the other compound. That is probably were the case is. He sold, and kept the other one , but these guys might have took everything. Please listen the video.
  23. I agree with you in terms of interactions , It is really easy to interact with Ethiopians especially here in Diaspora. My wife works with some Kenyan, Nigerian and Ethiopian ladies and she finds the Ethiopians easy to deal and to arrange things together while the Nigerians are hard to even agree on anything. In fact in the diaspora we get along well with Ethiopians especially the Ahmara.
  24. OO, First you put your house in order and then you deal with your neighbor. The best solution for Somalia is to expel all foreign troops from these dirt poor nations of the horn. Next will be the British who are double dealing from Kismaayo to Hargeisa. Ethiopia should have zero say how the internal Somali issues are managed, on the other hand we Somalis have a say how Ethiopia is managed because we have Somalis who own 25% of Ethiopia. We are free willing nomads and will never accept interference from anyone, let alone Ethiopia. I believe also that we should be the most influential country in the horn. We want Somalis want to travel From Wajeer to Kismaayo, Badoa, Jijjga , Dhibouti Hargeisa aand Boosaaso nd between without any restrictions. We want to be like US. We want to see our potential. Look at Turkey , ten years ago their GDP was around $280 billion, now it is $860 billion . Ducaale, If Somaliland becomes responsible government with rule of law which also emphasises small development for the people, I would have kept that system, but what I see is certain group enriching themselves at the expense of everyone else. When the leader has in his pockets the judge, the audit, the banker, the military, the foreign account and everything between it is dictatorship disguised as false democracy. On the other hand Somalia is on the road to be responsible and accountable government.
  25. Actually , I will be traveling for vocation for the next three weeks and I might transit in London, so will see how it goes. Habeen wanaagsan.
