  1. The man (actually creature) of the tournament is this octopus. Fantastically done, Mr. Paulo. Eight out of eight prediction, that is more than luck.
  2. I hope in Soomaali lagu eedeyn, Soomaali waxba galabsana laga aargudan. Kuwii aan ogaa and knowing them, in no time they will claim credit for this, even haddeenan sameynin. Waa ogahay kuwaas. Soomaalida dalkaas degan lee ayee life harder ugu dhigi doonaan.
  3. PS: The game Referee was one trigger-happy chap. [big Grin] He has completely ruined the game for both teams. I am convinced English newspapers will not grace him with kind words come tomorrow. The English referee, Howard Webb, is very, very well-known in the Premiership and Champions League games, for his happy-to-give cards, so he is not new to the English tabloids.
  4. NNC, wiilkaaga biladaha kuu qaatee, feeri habi tahay yaah maanta. Awguuriyo hee. Well done Mr. Muller Madaale, as I call him. ________________ Muller claims two coveted crowns To 'muller' is a well-understood verb in colloquial German, if a shade out of date. Some 36 years after Gerd Muller last graced the global footballing stage at the 1974 FIFA World Cup™, the term is set for an explosive comeback in the German-speaking world, thanks to Gerd’s namesake Thomas. Following his outstanding performance in South Africa, the 20-year-old has been named Hyundai Best Young Player of the 2010 FIFA World Cup by FIFA’s Technical Study Group (TSG), while his five goals and three assists saw him also claim the coveted adidas Golden Shoe. "Thomas Muller’s rapid rise through the senior football ranks has been nothing short of remarkable. A fringe player with Bayern Munich just two seasons ago, and with a first international cap coming only in March of this year, the 20-year-old striker has captured the imagination of fans everywhere with his pulsating approach play and vital goals,” the TSG said last Friday at the announcement of a three-strong shortlist for the prestigious award. Muller’s bustling display in Germany’s 3-2 win over Uruguay in Saturday’s third-place play-off, where he opened the scoring with his fifth goal of the tournament, ultimately saw the Bayern youngster edge out fellow candidates Giovani dos Santos (Mexico) and Andre Ayew (Ghana) for the award. Muller is the third German player to receive the accolade after Franz Beckenbauer (1966) and Lukas Podolski (2006). Muller's adidas Golden Shoe claim sees the youngster follow in the footsteps of a host of goalscoring royalty including Gary Lineker, Ronaldo and Mirolsav Klose. Muller finished on five goals at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, but claimed the top scorer accolade thanks to three assists, leaving him ahead of Spain marksman David Villa and Dutch hitman Wesley Sneijder, both of whom finished on five goals but with only one assist apiece. “We had a genuinely good season at Bayern Munich, and it was also a good one for me personally, because I finished with a lot of goals and assists,” Muller told FIFA.com. “That gave me plenty of confidence, but once I was selected for the senior national team, I was suddenly in new territory again. It's a tremendous feeling when the tournament that rounds off a season goes so well.” That attitude reflects Muller’s extraordinary maturity for a player who only burst onto the scene a year ago. This season, Muller has helped Bayern to a German league and cup double, and appeared in the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan. The 1.86m striker played a total of 66 matches for club and country in 2009-10. "Looking back, it’s been an extraordinary development path, which nobody could have foreseen – myself included. Normally you’d say a Champions League final would be the absolute highlight of your season, but then you go to a World Cup and take yet another step forward. It's unbelievable. Back in May, when I left Bayern and joined up with the national squad, I had a good feeling from the off. I sensed every player was utterly determined to do well at the World Cup." The Bavarian-born player’s record at his maiden FIFA World Cup rates as truly impressive: in six appearances, he has scored five goals and provided three assists. Furthermore, his goals have come from precisely five shots on target in South Africa, the definition of clinical finishing. Muller is not only the solitary 20-year-old to hit the target at the 2010 tournament, but also the second-youngest player of all time to net five times at a FIFA World Cup finals. That record belongs to the 17 years and 249 day-old Pele at Sweden 1958. FIFA.com users twice voted Muller their Budweiser Man of the Match (against England and Uruguay). The player was suspended for Germany’s 1-0 defeat to Spain in the semi-finals after receiving two yellow cards in previous matches. During the tournament, numerous greats of the game queued up to heap praise on the rising star. "The lad has everything. He’s quick, he shoots with both feet, he’s good in the air, and he makes terrific runs down the channels. He’s a quick thinker, he reads the game well, and he has that precious nose for goal,” Gerd ‘Der Bomber’ Muller told FIFA.com when quizzed about his heir apparent. The Best Young Player award has often proved the precursor to an illustrious career in senior football. Pele was the first recipient of the award in 1958, and winners since then have included Enzo Scifo (1986) and Michael Owen (1998). Events in South Africa bode well for Thomas Muller’s future prospects and potential for achievement within the game. But as always, only time will tell, and the next step is up to him alone. FIFA

  6. Why some do dislike Forlaan? He is cool, nin dabeecad wanaagsana waa u egyahay oo degan. Not bad. Jacfar, Jarmalka dhaqankooda iska ah inay final or semi-final reach gareyaan and if they can't win the big thing, surely they can have the third place. It is a must nooh. Maanta iyagoo iswaalin ayee raayeen oo ciyaalkii dhan wada ciyaaraaye.
  7. Nothing. Just sanduliskooda kasoo horjeedaa and dhibnimo lee. Nothing else. Plus I like the fireworks. I used to live in Windsor and each year both Windsor and Detroit hosted a joint fireworks event in the early July, usually in the second of July to coincide both countries' independence days. Waxaa laga shidi jiray literally in the middle of international border, right in the middle of the river, Detroit River.
  8. 'Haters' kulahaa. Who hates who? Ma Mareykankaas wax la hate gareeyaa even? It doesn't even deserve one's 'hate.' Mareykanka hanoo faalinin waa taa arkee. Baltimore iyo Fairfax, Virginia iyo Detroit. I lived in all of them for six months. Kanada ma gaaraan, mana u dhawo. Fairfax ugu rooneyd, though.
  9. Dhubad, you have a soft spot for Barbaarta wali. And on the top of that, you have an avatar something eynan arki karin kuwaas: Waa laba wax aynan arki karin. Waa gurbaanka iyo calanka baluuggan. Labadooda isku wadataana and you dare come here to defend them. Ar yee ku arkin qoorta kaa goynin widaayoow. Mise waa cabsaneysaa xariiftoo Baardheere kuu joogto u maleynaa oo markaa rabtid inaa u tagtid bilaa cabsi la'aan inaa ugu tagtid iska rabtaa markaa u tageysid xariiftaada. Don't worry, SOL xor ayaa ku tahay, widaay. Xor iyo xorteeda. Wax walba waa dhihi kartaa. You just don't need to defend them illogically. Ha cabsan.
  10. One of the greatest mysteries that baffled Soomaalis had finally been solved.
  11. Waa kuwaan wadaadada dhabta ah, wadaadadaa naqaanay. Well done to them. I hope qashinkaas Barbaarta la baxay oo magaca wadaad haleeye oo dhulka ku jiiday would listen for once. But I don't hold my breath.
  12. Balan maxaa keenay? You know, regardless how much the facts are, the tabloids will always twist the story. It is better to always be in 'no comment' mode. Dad irid laga furana ma'aha tabloids, especially in that stage. Laakiin knowing Soomaalida and afdheernimo some of us to be, mistaking afdheernimo to be reer magaalnimo, waxaas ayaa u keentay inay every media outlet iskala hadlaan ama u jawaabaan su'aalahooda. Some they don't even understand the system mise care not to understand. Now asagaa irida ka furee, see how they are trying to portray the poor faarax some kind of drug addict, well judging from that picture. That is their intention.
  13. Well done to youngsters. The coach did indeed gave almost all of them a chance to play today. And they played good, despite all in their inexperience in big stages. Imagine if Lahm, Klose and Podolski played. The final result would've even been more positive. This is a young team that has a terrific future, a team to be reckoned with. Well done again Jarmalka. You made this tournament a watchable and exciting one, indeed. Go Deutschland!
  14. Haddii Shariifka dalka kuwaas ku wareejiye, asaga yuu ku wareejiye dalka? Sadex Yemani ah iyo afar Reer Afgaanistaan iyo Bakistaan ah? And asaga iyo kooxdiisa soo ma ahayn kuwii diiday hala wada heshiiyo, Soomaalinimo wax ha lagu qeybsado. Muxuu la qeyl qeylinaayaa now? Yaab ayee leeyihiin.
  15. Qofka hoos ku qoran miyaa? It happened a few days ago. Alshabaab oo Bakaaro ku dilay nin waalnaa Maliishiyooyin ka tirsan ururka Alshabaab ayaa xalay suuqa Bakaaraha ku dilay nin waalnaa oo la oran jiray Cabdi Maxamed Kaahiye (Goobe) Ninkan oo ahaa nin iska hadal badan maskax ahaana wax u dhimanaayeen ayaa waxaa uu ka shaqeyn jiray musqulo ku yaala Bakaaraha oo dadku ay lacag ku galaan waxaana inta badan uu hor joogi jiray musqulaha si uu lacagaha uga ururiyo dadka musqulaha gala waxaana aan la garanayn sababta keeni karta in la dilio ruux madaxa looga jiro shaqadiisuna ay ceynkaa ahayd. Waxaase la ogyahay in uu ahaa nin hadal badan oo mararka qaarna shidan jiray foox isagoo tusbax weyn wata, isla markaana sheegi jiray in uu yahay Ahlusuna waxaana suuragal ah in heysashadiisii tusbaxa iyo fooxii uu shidan jiray awgeed loo dilay. Ehalada marxuumka ayaa saaka u cadeeyay saxaafada dilkiisa waxaana lagu wadaa in maanta laa aaso. Xigasho
  16. Hoteelkii Alcuruba kalaabkiisa ee habeenada caweyska ka heesi jireen Shimaali Axmed Shimaali iyo Mariisa Karboone uu ka ahaan jiray waardiye. He still has his uniform, including the pink vest. Run maahinoo, Tuujka. NNC, Holland la jir now. Isbaanishkaan faarabuutiyaasha si fiican in loo galaa rabaa. I can't wait to see their ooyin. I know they would cry too much since they hadn't won no World Cup.
  17. Maxaa ii soo xasuusinee? Xaasidsanidaa, sister. Honestly, though, I had this tiny gut feelings that Jarmalka was going to lose. Pre-game, I wasn't that excited like when Jarmalka were against Ingiriiska or Arjentiin. One reason that had to do was that I didn't want to see Jarmalka vs Holland in the final game. As much as I am a Jarmalka fan, I wouldn't mind Holland (and all because of that gees gees u ordaayo qaloocoow player named Robben) to win a cup for the first time. If Holland was against Jarmalka in the final, I would have had a personal conflict. Now, I don't. All the way to Robben. He is a great player, especially during his campaign for Bayern Munich that I had watched and followed. He is a great player again, only his stunt dives lee marax ah. I loved that goal he scored against Manchester United.
  18. Tuujka, qofta waa laba luggooti, not sadex luggooti, according to how she writes. If I am not mistaken, usually waala kala garan karaa dumarka iyo ragga see u kala qoraan qoraalada nooh, ee marka qofta soo dhawee. Soo dhawoow, Recommendme. You've registered in May and you are finally allowed to post in July, labad bilood saf ku jirtay iga dheh.
  19. Only $200? Is that New Zealand dollars? Ninkaan uma baahno dalkiisa lagu celiyo. He just needs to explore New Zealand, a beautiful country instead of being obsessed about every tiny piece that is reported in far other side of his world, Bari region of Soomaaliya, online.
  20. Two football fans were killed on Friday night in a pub brawl after Ghana’s loss at the World cup quarter finals. The first victim was stabbed in the stomach and died on the spot while the attacker was lynched by the mob at a bar in the outskirts of Nairobi. The two were among hundreds of fans who were watching the match between Ghana and Uruguay at Exto Bar in Githurai Kimbo. The two reportedly differed as they predicted scores, soon after the first goal was scored. Nairobi PPO Antony Kibuchi, told reporters that the one who stabbed the other, was consequently beaten to death by the mob. Still on Friday, a young Haitian football fan was so distraught at Brazil's World Cup exit that he killed himself, by leaping in front of a car, according to witnesses. The 18-year-old died after the incident, which took place in Nerette, on the outskirts of the Haitian capital, following Brazil's 2-1 defeat by the Netherlands in the quarter-finals. Two weeks ago, a secondary school boy was beaten to death outside a bar on Nairobi’s Kimathi Street, after differing with his couleagues during a world cup match. The eighteen-year-old student was killed following a dispute over the World Cup match between Brazil and Ivory Coast. Mr Lawrence Asava, a form three student at Kochland Secondary School was watching the match at a popular pub near the Nation Centre when he reportedly differed with his colleagues, leading to a scuffle which left him unconscious. Three of his colleagues immediately carried him to a clinic on Muindi Mbingu Street but before they could get in, they realised that he was dead, dropped him on the street and started running away but they were promptly arrested by taxi drivers who reported the incident to the police. In April last year, an Arsenal fan in Nairobi committed suicide after his team was eliminated from the Champions League by rivals Manchester United. Xigasho
  21. Nice. Dankis for sharing. Calan ka quruxsan in uu jiro ma aaminsani. Of course, Kanadiyaan one comes second.
