  1. Saxiib for me actions speak louder than words, ones choices defines his or its character. Now you want me to applaud the savages who have just invited foreign occupier just so that they can be in power a day longer. It reminds me of the fake Khaliifs of Granada who swore allegiance to the Christian north so that they could rule over their brothers by force. Now bring me tangible reason on why I should praise the men who want to see the end of a resurging nation. If they repent call of their puppet masters and make some serious concessions in Khartoum then I might give them a stump
  2. A great article brother Indeed Somalis from every corner will unite behind this inevitable war. I have a funny feeling that it is not only the TFG that will bear the brunt of the confrontation the Tigri leadership weakness will become transparent and maybe the majority in Ethiopia will rise. Inshallah soon Somalia will be a nation which implements full Shariah law, and Inshallah no man made law will take precedence over the divine law in the beloved horn.
  3. Nice pictures (not the latter ones)

I totally agree with you in that Northerner you only realise how small the place you live is (London) when you get out and see what the world is all about. I used to believe the world revolved around London until I got out. although I am a bit sceptic about the cuisines of unknown cultures (someone tricked me to eat a horse ones).
  5. For a man who is supposed to be an intellectual this man sure is very peculiar. The fact that even the TNG's parliament refutes his latest statement just shows his agenda. He knows that if an agreement comes out between the courts and the TFG that he is the first person to hit the road and go back to the VET he used to work at. Odeyga Cabdullahi Yusuf has made some major errors in his leadership and he is taking himself to his political grave the fact is that guys Like Geedi is escorting him there faster than a super Jet. And yes these guys are his stooges stating exactly what’s on his mind.
  6. Don’t despair yet fellow nomads Khartoum negotiations look like it is going well. Ethiopia is not as strong as they pretend to be if worst comes they will leave in shame. After all we Somalis know how to defend our self. If one clan managed to withhold the mighty US what chance has Ethiopia got against a hopefully united nation. And most of all we have the support of Allah. Even if war takes place and the ICU is dented do you think that Somalis will tolerate a proxy puppet leadership which sole purpose is to fulfil the interests of another nation. If the Ethiopian’s get involved I hope for their sake they have the financial and physical ability as well patience because this will be a long ride.
  7. I heard this earlier on today Sharrif Hasan speaker of the parliament was rallying MP's and I believe it was around 150 MP's that want to go to Khartoum
  8. THE LEAGE OF EXTRORDINARY GETLEMENT fantastic stuff, they would challange any group of intellectuals in the world
  9. Indeed this a victories day if this isnt signs of a city liberated then i dont know what the word means
  10. a final showdown indeed. Somalis have defeated foreign troops of higher calibre before. this might be a defining moment for the ****** region let alone Somalia and Baidoa
  11. Predictions step by step 1. Khartoum will be a failure not because of the courts but because of the TFG 2. Baidoa will be seized by the courts 3. Pres Yusuf and possibly PM Geedi and his warlord gang will escape perhaps to Ethiopia 4. The unfortunate remaining MP’s of the parliament will join the courts and the they will go back to where people have wanted to go for the last 2 years Moqdisho 5. The government will be declared NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. 6. The exiled leaders (by name) call for the immediate deployment of troops to Somalia; the International organisation will take a conservative stand waiting for the outcome and the next step of the courts. 7. The remaining the courts, the remaining MP’s and intellectuals from abroad will consult each other. 8. Fresh elections will be declared 9. A new interim government immune from international factors will be born. I am not a fortune teller and every thing is down to the Qadar of Allah. This is some critical moments for the leadership within the TFG their next few steps are crucial either they will be digging the graves of their political careers or they make some serious concessions.
  12. The fact that one is prides him self with possible air land support from the west to try to suppress a popular Islamic movement just about sums up g duke and NN. What he fails to point out is that the warlords that have fled under the wing fragile TFG had very sophisticated arsenal yet they are crying for mercy today. When you got a popular uprising no amount of weapons can stop (just ask the re-emergence of the Taliban). The battle is about heart and minds if I take a leaf out G bush book and it is one that the TFG is badly losing. I should hope for the TFG case that they ask for forgiveness, hand over the warlords that fled so that they can be punished for their crimes. If they don’t the meting in Khaltoum might be their last one. Baidoa needs the IUC for business, security and Faith.
  13. A Famous scholar Ibn Qayeem wrote long ago that the leader of a nation or a group of people is a manifestation of the people he/she rules. I think this a very interesting statement that the Scholar made. Good people are not ruled by a bad leader and vice verse, it would not be fair to see the Ansar of madena to be ruled by someone of Husni Mubarak’s calibre and equally it would be unfair for hajaaj bin Youssef to rule over us today let alone Abu baker Sadiiq (ra). A ruler’s corruption and injustice is a mirror reflection of a society’s injustice and wrong doing. If you wrong someone he who is stronger than you will wrong you. If you steal from the poor then politicians will steal from the treasury (look at the situation in Nigeria). So to uproot evil and injustice we first have to start with our own Nafs once we have conquered that then start with your own household, it would be hypocritical to criticize a tyrant when we are doing the same thing in a smaller scale.
  14. For those three basic points everybody should be able to compromise
  15. Allah subxanah wa ta alla has stated With hardship comes ease Inshallah this a new day for Somalia and now the final obstacle (qaybdeed) in Xamar has been debated. Common Somalis should urge the TFG government to stop this hard line against the Islamic courts. If the TFG wants peace and stability then the UIC has provided it in the capital. We hope Inshallah that the possible talks in Khartoum will be fruit full. What has the TFG got to loose by agreeing to work with the courts, the TFG should look at the fringes in their camp whom are only after personal gain and discard them. Members of SOL know that you are sample of the Somali community now lets discuss our common grounds rather than what we disagree on. Let us focus on the base. We are 1. Muslims 2. Somalis And we want Peace Let this be the start of every dialogue
  16. A very good move indeed These intellectuals will assist in the strategic aspects of Moqdisho and where to go next.

  19. We often blame non-Muslims for having preconceived ideas regarding ISLAM, the same problem of narrow mindedness exists within Muslims. I myself heard the word Wahhabi before I heard Salafi Here is a little article to remove those preconceived ideas withing the Muslims Ummah What is a Salafi and What is Salafism? The reader will notice that the word "Wahhabi" is always indented with quotation marks here at TheWahhabiMyth.com. Those who are labelled with this word do not themselves use this term, as it is used as a means of belittlement. The reasons for the rejection of this term are clearly outlined throughout this book. The correct way of referring to them is by terming them Salafis, as they are those who adhere to the way of the Salaf - the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) and his companions. Following the way of the Salaf is the way which has been legislated in the Quran and Sunnah, the very sources of Islam. The Prophet (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) said to his daughter Fatimah: "Indeed, I am for you a blessed Salaf." When asked about which was the correct and acceptable way of understanding Islam, the Prophet (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) replied by saying: "That which I and my companions are upon." Similarly, Allah says in the Quran that He is pleased with the companions "and also those who follow them exactly (in faith)." As such, He said regarding the Prophet (may Allah raise his rank and grant him security) and his companions: "So if they believe as you (i.e. the Salaf) believe, they are indeed rightly guided." All of the orthodox scholars of Islam followed the way of the Salaf in understanding religion. Early scholars such as Imam al-Awzaa'ee, who died 157 years after the Prophet's emigration to Medina, said: "Be patient upon the Sunnah, and stop where the people (i.e. the Salaf) stopped, and say what they said, and refrain from what they refrained from, and follow the path of your righteous Salaf; for verily, sufficient for you is what was sufficient for them." Today, one of the famous Sunni schools of jurisprudence is named after a scholar named Abu Haneefah. Millions of Muslims all over the world ascribe themselves to his school of jurisprudence; those who the media would term "mainstream" Muslims. Regarding adherence to the Salafi methodology, he said, "Adhere to the narrations and way of the Salaf, and beware of newly invented matters (in religion), for all of it is innovation." The orthodox scholars who came after these early generations also followed the understanding of the Salaf in religious matters. Imam ath-Thahabi said: "It is authentically related from ad-Daraqutni (a scholar from approximately 1,000 years ago) that he said: There is nothing more despised by me than 'ilmul-kalaam (innovated speech and rhetoric). I (adh-Thahabee) say: The man never entered into ’ilmul-kalaam, nor did he enter into argumentation (i.e. philosophy), he did not delve into that. Rather, he was Salafee (a follower of the Salaf)." The present day scholars who stick to the mainstream understanding of Islam also ascribe themselves to the way of the Salaf. Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan is considered to be one of the most knowledgeable of scholars alive today. Regarding Salafism, he made the following remark: "It is not a party from amongst the various parties… Hence Salafism is a group of people who are upon the way of the Salaf, upon what the Messenger (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) and his Companions were upon; and it is not a party from amongst the contemporary groups present today." The media claim that Salafis/"Wahhabis" believe that all those who do not follow their form of Islam are heathens" is a tall tale. Salafis believe that those Muslims who do not follow the understanding of the Salaf are not adhering to these and other clear texts. As such, they do not fall under the above-mentioned Quranic verse as being "rightly guided." Salafis distinguish between those who fall into religious innovation and those who fall into disbelief. When considering the proofs which are contained within the Quran and Sunnah and the statements of all the orthodox scholars of Islam from the earliest generations to the present time, it becomes obvious that it is a great blunder for the media to refer to Salafism as being a new movement called "Wahhabism" which came about only two centuries ago during the time of Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhab in Saudi Arabia. "So after the truth, what else can there be, save error?" [Quran 10:32] Source http://www.thewahhabimyth.com/
  20. Brother did this competition used to take place during the days of the companions or even the era of Muhamed SAW If yes Please present the Sahih hadiths and the Quaran to support this (and we will write poems to the best of our ability) If no Then it must be bidha in which case you want us to do an act that the best of genereations did not do.
  21. Alxamdullilah let this Inshallah be the beginning of more positive news to come from the meeting and future relations
  22. Not only is the diplomatic works of the Islamic Courts excellent due to some excellent PR that even celebrities would be proud, they have the masses behind them as well as being military formidable The masses should call the election of Pres Yusuf and the corrupt warlord MPs void. We should restart the democratic process and put forward our real leaders the intellects of Somalia with the assistance of the Islamic Courts, the men abroad who should come back and a new day should start. Only then can we bring to justice those who wronged others and the leaders who committed the ultimate crime to a nation TREACHERY No outside influence whether it’s the Ethiopians or Kenyans. Inshallah Allah Subhanah wa tala will help us pass this fitnah Asalamu Alaikum
  23. If the recent demonstrations have shown anything it is that foreign troops whatever their calibre is are not invited. There comes a time when everyone passes his or her sell by date. It is time for the Interim President to resign. If the TFG wants to be taken serious this corrupt head who thinks Somalia will go back a dictatorship rule needs to get. I am someone who respected his mandate not because I thought he would be a good leader but because he came through something that had a slight resemblance of democracy (we don’t know how he got in but he did) However If he insists on Foreign troops this will be his end and it is time the parliament oust him out
