  1. Absolutely walaalo. Well said. The beauty of it all is the enourmouse way we've changed the structure Somali politics in the last decade or so. You have one house-hold that supports a number of parties simply due to their ideologies rather then the qabiil loyalty 'shid' we had in the past. Anyways, I must confess that I've been a little ignorant with regards to the recent developments on the elections. How is that going now.!? Last I recall it was a tie between UDUB and Kulmiye? I personaly was inclined towards Kulmiye because they have a female diplomate (I am told) and also because of the fact that the hounrable Silaanyo has always been a personal hero of mine.
  2. Nayaaaaa... Honesita... why da f===k arn't you in ur msn?! Anyways, heblaaayo me and U have too much in common .. it's getting boring now lol I was born on a friday also... 8.30pm lol Rabiic al-awal 1400. So yours would be 1402 Theres my maths.... I'm so crap it walahi.. so the person lied there! I like the diplomat stuff though... been thinking about it lately so ama definatley go for it
  3. I absolutely, and honestly and totaly and truely LOVE: My signature ....lol thats why I chose it, iniit
  4. Istaaahil. Muwah sweetie. Couldn't have put it better myself! AbduRahman, Islamicly speaking there is NO Isliamic state in the world today. So wether we have female heads of states or not. The political systems in place in most muslims countries today are Islamically forbidden. What I don't get is why people are so selective about their Islamic Shariacia. Seems like we only refer to it when it backs up our argument. Having said that, I will not argue with that fatwa. But thats not to say that women are not allowed to play role within the political system. one would only have to refer to Aisha (ra)...... and there goes your theory of weak, soft dumb women I am not a feminist... just know that i can be more then a house wive courtesy of dads upbringing. And we love our Somali men... I think they are the least chuvenistic.... Love em
  5. Well we can generalise and make assumptions but it is not neccesarilly always true. Personaly for me it depends on the person at the recieving end of it all and the feelings that I am expressing. It it annoyance or something on the violent side (ahem) .... I have no problems. If its a love thing it depends on how mature and sensitive the dude is. Some men can handle emotions some can't and vice versa. It could also be beacuse of culture, as Somalis we aren't excatly supposed to be mushy and lovey dovey are we  Also cose people have been met with some embarassing reactions. (my mates are chattering away as a write my reply). Honestly, is it so hard?

    Nayaa

Well it all depends on the context. i call my grils nayaa and vice versa.. but I don't like it if they called me nayaa if they were angry with me cos for me to call some one nayaa in anger I mean in it disrespectfully. As for guys, I wouldn't like a complete stranger calling me nayaa! With my mates and family members it depends on the context entirely. Sometimes being called nayaaa can be sexy..... I don't wanna go into that now. But it really aint a big deal.
  7. the lyrics are cool .... but the beat is over whelming ..... dhagihii baa igu xanuuney! I think the bres should get a new sound engineeer. definatley has a lot of potential.
  8. No way sis. I'll tell my friend about all the orphaned muslim children and she could adopt. If I couldn't have children that is what I would do. It isn't gonna help your relationship with your friend and I honestly think that any friend that gave me that kind of a proposal was selfish and inconsiderat! I ain't sharing my man.... regardless of the situation
  9. looooooooooooooooooool Muna. Habo don't be shy.. waa caadi hadaad wiilka jeclaatey. I am sure the brother will feel charmed And if I was he .... I'd like you too. lol anyways ... ha i qarxin taa iskumaan ogayn. Mine a man te. Girl that was off the hook .. you go girl.. good luck

  11. Spend less time in SOL. I think, I am an addict.
  12. I am not really into Politics. But I think it's time for a revival of Araweelism. I know many sistas who are capable of taking on the role of running country and a few politically active ones also. it just that people tend to keep women's efforts on the hush. Which is understandable cos women don't go arround killing or inticing others to kill. Time for Araweelo the second.... any candidate? I'll be you capaign manager
  13. I started off at 'Cda' in Burco. I don't know what 'C'da stood for. Then had to leave after few months. Then I went to a school in Saudi Arabia. Again, I had to leave after a year... Then I started junior school in London ............ and I am still there

  15. I don't see the point in this Miss World.. Jamaica.. USA - buhaaaa bussiness. But then again, one can understand the air-heads need for recognition. Guys easy on the chick... I think her Somaliland one - liner is meant to be a joke.
  16. looooooooooooooooooool Ars nal What happened? Liverpool .............. What Happened? Seems like the United Legends are back in bussiness............. Red Devil 4 life
  17. lol Honesita I dunno why I said.. pms- I guess U didn't lie about Ur hair... man sha Allah. hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I get back 2 ur question when I have more time
  18. looooooooooooooooooool Samira ... I feel ya sis. You know what I do; I switch on one of my qaraami tapes and turn the volum up... ama wey aamusaan or they do a sing a long...... they have crazey repect for Qaraami! And if they really bug U... Quraan ku shid...that should remind them! Why do I have to work 2day. I am hating Londons rain. I am hating having this damn cold ... and the fact that I have to work. I hate the way the world is going..... Why are 'muslims' using Islam to fight their national politic and kill others.
  19. looooooooooool Honesita. Do you remember by what age I wanted my first baby? I am 5 months away. Impossible. Growing old is inevitable.... but what bugz the rate of time. Walaaahi intaan plans ku jiro ayuu aduunku igu dhamaan. Taqwa ... good points bro.

I'll tell you the big deal Israel has always been enemies with muslims and the last i checked the population of somali people were muslims so i guess that means us! The case is no longer about weather the letter is authentic or not but what effects it will have on somali people what do you have to say about that? do you care if your country becomes an allie with the very people who want to kill you although personally i believe Israel do not give a crap about Somalia and they will never become allies. Originally posted by Ameenah Samy walaalo. Arabs are our brothers in terms of religion. Isreal may not have damaged Somalis personaly... but their war is with Islam.. and last time I checked Somalilanders were muslims!!! Jamiilah with H. I think we are in agreement here! Don't worry about my question... it was soley intended for Warsame Yare!
  21. I got to say that I am in agreement with Jamaal and Xafsa on this. Odaayaashu have deomnstrated that they are incapable of running a country.... they need step down anf let the younger folks who are not corrupted with qabiil-politics take control. Somalia needs fresh ideas!
  22. I think killing innocent civilians is ruthless and un-wise. I am stupfied at how someone can think they are helping the Palestinian cause or Mulims by comiting sucide and taking innocent lifes.... desperate measures I understand... but if people want to fightjihaaad .. do it proberly!! Attacking Isreal in that manner is only gonna make things 100 times worse for the poor Palestinians that have to live under their rule.... Allah help us.
  23. Beautiful. I like the thoughts of this brother. Very progressive indeed. We need more people like him in our community. One thing that he fails to do however, is to provide strategic recommendations for the Somali community. It seems that a great deal of struggles stems from the fact that we have no focus, nothing to unit us.
  24. GfUd The guy is dead... May Allah forgive him his sins .. in sha Allah. Samy walaalo. Arabs are our brothers in terms of religion. Isreal may not have damaged Somalis personaly... but their war is with Islam.. and last time I checked Somalilanders were muslims!!! Anyhow... back to the letter. Igal was a politician.. they do weird things sometimes. but what is the big deal? I don't understand ... I doubt that it is true.. simply because Igal was the least serious about Achieving recognition for Somaliland as a seperate state. But... so what?
  25. Marka Hore Ahlan Washlan. I must say I agree with your statesments about her Ladyship... is she still alive? Secondly, just wanted to say that I am an air head by choice... I have the right to post what ever I am working on your 10 points... off-line! Welcome on board sis. I hope you do give this section of the forum a well over due make-over , though... Good luck
