  1. Apparently I am not very smart. I was actually thinking of filing a complaint about the dumb test ..... But I am predicted to end up with a stud so, if you'll excuse me, I will and find my stud
  2. Oh well! Better luck next time. United couldve done better. I guess, U win some n lose some. This forum needs a 'crying' smily
  3. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I guess thats life. I hear some really strange stereotypes but I find them rather amusing. Imagine the world withought stereotypes, it would be boring. Anyway, we all stereotype ppl before we get to know them but Only a brain dead individual would judge individuals (they know) on the basis of hearsay
  4. Btw Camboo .... welcome back honey. It is nice to see you back in the forums ... missed your annoying lil arse walahi
  5. Hello everyone .... I agree with kool_kats comments. Nicely put sis! However, I've noticed that alot of Somalis have problem with getting love to work for them because they are too cautious. I mean, if xaliimo says I'll only do 'xyz' if he did 'abc' for me --- and Farax is thinking the exact samething.... you'll end up with a lot of people waiting for their partners to make things work or make the first move. As MMA put it 'waa u dhmaatey'. For any realtion... the ppl invovled should want the same thing... want to be a part of it.. and work hard in making it work!
  6. lol@ U! Is that an invitation to show the nomads the level of my 'qumayoness'. You just volunteered to be my first victim
  7. 80% of Somalis in the UK are job less huh? Could it be due to the fact that the majority of Somalis are Mothers and young children? As for the Teenagers: I think it is a phase a lot of people go through. Rebellion is common in any group of teenagers, whatever their background. The trouble with us Somalis is that there is a great deal of dictatorship and not much guidance and support. We all expect and it is expected of us to grow into perfect human beings, that do as they are told.... you don't believe me.... sit with a group of elders and you will get 'caruurti we xummaatey, dhaqakii bey ka tageen' etc.. etc. These are usually people that don't eve take the time out to chat to their children about their dreams, aspirations and life in general. Then go to the people that are supposed to be supporting and guiding the youth and ask them what services they over the youth .... 'nada'. My locla Somali community has a youth worker, out reach worker and an education officer, yet the only services offered by that organisation is Translating.  I think we need to be less critical and more practical.. Most of all we need a reality check: Teens are humans, they make mistakes and not our puppets. Just because we have a problem with eating qad and not going to school.. doesn't mean that we should impose our wants on them. The only thing you can do is give as much support to the young person, show them the opportunities and treat them like a person... rather then a wotless 5 year old!

Almost, it is yous lot! you Americans need to pay me for tecahing you British slang. I got Honesita saying 'geezer' now lol. Well, I guess meeting some of my good Nomads and closest buds was the only positive that came out of it. The rest, I'de much rather forget. Anyone who as muchs mentions that place in my precence will be severely dealt with. Barwqo. Tell the Cattini that I got the latest addition to the 'Happy Pill' range.

  10. lol @ Marwo You forget her classic: Tani qof mahee waa kalbad
  11. Why do we have to adopt the language of another nation? We are Somali, we speak Somali... so we should teach Somali. I would suggest that Arabic be the second official language and english offered as a foriegn language for strictly economic reasons. Language is power and the choice of official language in any nation speaks volumes. I thought the introduction of the written script of Somali and the removal of colonial languages from the education system was a wicked 'middle finger gesture' to the British and the Italians sorry I get too into my languages
  12. Shidh Jamaal. Thats quite telling  How long have you had this .. erm, ahem habit? You do look pretty... man, feel jealouse
  13. Seems like Somalis are best at describing (helpless) love as we exprience it lol My song would be .... I'd say 'Allah Dheeridaa' by Cumar Yare 'Sida roob biyoo da'ay ama dhaymand lacagee ayaad iiga dhigantee...........'
  14. People may not like my attitude , but I don't care. I'm beautiful! Self explanatory, I think
  15. looooooooooooool @ Kool Kat.... I know your name now lol Well, I got the feeling that this will bring a smile to your face. It means 'the brilliant one' I don't know about you hunny.. but I sure is Brilliant Intrestingly enough... the travel, independece and the bit about getting bored easily (the section you'v highlighted) is the only part that I've agreed with too. Weird huh?
  16. Allah will protect Maka. So the morons can try. In fact, I remember hearing a hadith about an army that will attempt to attack Mecca but will be destroyed before they do. Does anyone know of or remember it?

  18. I have a problem. I have two names and my main name (the one most peeps know) has several different prounciations and spellings and you know what... that leaves me with several almost contradictory personalities! I am either a psycho which is absured . or there's simply not much in a name. <<<<< Spoil sport

  23. Taqwa Thnx. Bye now! Haruuun First of.. iska waran. Where have you been lately? Back to your comments. lol dira diraalayahaw. I didn't mean it like that. I really don't have a problem with people who oppose the state of Somaliland. It is just 'the opinion dictatorship' in this post is bugging me... I don't like to be told what can and cannot be discussed, simply because some people can't stand the heat. Thats all.
  24. Barwaqo, That was just to the point. You could have given us the benefit of forgetting something. Greedy lol @ Nasra I guess you'll have to add me to your list of those who are incapable of comprehending your arguement quality ... or quality of arguement ... an argument of high quality ...
  25. Originally posted by jaaluut: honesly, the idea of an election would be a tremendous progress if the northerners didn't want to disintegrate somalia into qabiildoms. given the nature of somalis ,and the reaction to this topic which is drawn among clan lines, its fruitless to keep such discussions in SOMALIAONLINE, where the aim is to bring nomads from every clan and region of somalia. What do you suggest that we do? Hush up and pretend that these facts are not happenning. pretend that Somalia is still a united and functional country and that we the Nomads of somaliaonline share the same political ideologies? I really don't get it. This was a positive topic untill 'he who cannot be mentioned' raved about it not being appropriate. What is in - appropriate about discussing the achievements of our people back at home? why delet a postive topic beacause certain individuals have a problem with it? for un-understood reasons? Can I just point out to you that people and politics are separate entities. If our people realised that then Somalis will get some where. In other words we need to accept our differences. For the sake of the all mighty.... look at the big picture. There is a part in our country that has a form of democracy, where the people live in peace and gun-men are all most inexistant. That is a good thing! Northerner Show offf.. thats cruel. I wouldn't object to a Photo toure of Somalilad!
