There is no reason to fire the Prime Ministry. He didn't break the law nor did he became incompetent. Under his command the system is functioning well, al-shabaab is cornered , the intelligence agencies are on the offensive capturing and taking the war to them. if there is an impeachment what is the reason behind it or what would be the allegations. You can't impeach the prime minister for disagreeing or shuffling the cabinet. if he is abusing his power, then fix the problem and reason with him. for the interest of the Somalis , Mr. President swallow your ego and pride and work with this man. or else ' labadiinuba waad dhaafatsaan ummadda. Somalia can't have a prime minister every single year. that is unacceptable. if impeachment comes both of them will leave.

Boondheere, that is good point. They were looking cheap propaganda shots to denigrate and endanger a decent scholar who is simply trying to advance the Islamic thoughts of his era . Khadaafi you raised a good point about renewal and discussion. I wish I could brilliantly write and express in English as most of you. Yesterday, I met one of our local sheiks who is a well respected in the city. He helps our community bury the dead through the local mosques and government agencies and he regularly visits prisons for Somali youth. After few chats , I began my usual Al-shabab condemnation and other issues in Somalia. I told him that while Al-shbaab is defeated militarily , the religious and political infrastructure that created the environment must be also eliminated in order not to allow them to come back. At the same time the ideological leaders of the movement who physically didn't take the gun but nurtured these people must be exposed and pushed out from the public sphere unless they repent the destruction their Wahabi ideologies caused the Somali people for the last eight or more years. He agreed with me about these thoughts, but when I mentions about this book written by Scholar A/saciid ismacill, he said " Adeer nin wanaagsan baad tahay oo wax badan fahmaya, laakiin waxaan ku odhan lahaa yaan lagaa maqlin ninki galbeedi ahaa ayaa bugaas amaanaya ama qoraagan ku raacsan waxa uu qoray'. basically he said do not mention that book if you want to be taken seriously by your community. besides his family who are in gaalkacayo will kill him as soon as they see him ". After few exchanges I told him ' sheikh read the book before you judge'. I would like to tell everyone of you to read the book before you judge. . I also would like to thank brother Nuune for uploading the book in sol. Having almost read the whole book , I could say that I have gained a great deal of knowledge and insight about Islam and our culture. Through this book I realized how little I knew about the science and the vast Islamic literature collected by scholars throughout centuries. I realized how rich is the Islamic justprudience and literature as compared to others. When extremists talk about Islamic Sharia, all you hear is chopping hand from a poor who stole something or a woman stoned in the land controlled by them. You don't see reasoning, mercy or the conditions that created the problem. We don't have real Ullema who have the interest of their communities and their nation , what we have is robots who want to have power over others and want to punish people. It seems the most ruthless sociopaths carrying " qori iyo Kitaab". DR. C/saciid explained the taboo subjects that Arabs and others wouldn't like to discuss. it shows the brilliance and philosophical thoughts of early scholars like Immam Shafici, Sufian al-Towri, hanafi and others. Sifting through this fourteen century years old knowledge is needed specialized scholars of great knowledge. decently it is not something UMmal, or Sheikh Idris and others who are " Bayd gaab' warmongers could handle. By accepting his argument , they will be exposed to answer the blood they spilled in Somalia while backing war against Somali state. The idea of the Amir using religion to punish or reward people were in my mind for a long time. I discussed with few people of knowledge. it is difficult to find a place to exchange ideas in our culture. Look at the latest example of al-shabaab. The Amir killed or put in prison everyone who had different reasoning than his. In order to save these man from ruthless Sheikhs like Ummal , who already created a hostile environment for this scholar and his family we must speak out and urge people to read the book and make their mind. I wish we could invite him in North America so we can gain some knowledge from him and expose the liars who are spreading mischief.

in any issue , there are exceptions to the rules. I do not think we can judge this issue on the behaviour of few individuals who for engage hatred against Islam for publicity and material gains. For example Ayaan hersi, was even refused to make lectures in many well known American universities. she was a daughter of educated and well known family, yet she presented herself as a someone who was forced marriage and abused. She is exploited by right wing islamophopic groups. this is un exception to the rule. your laws and customs must reflect your culture and faith, while upholding fundamental rights of the individuals. Here in Canada we have hate speech laws that protects people from being targeted and abused. it says you can't incite hate or promote hatred against un identified group that may lead to harm. I know in America and other places, devilish entertainment industry and others target or mock Jesus. We know the freedom of the speech which the American founding fathers intended to challenge the tyranny of the rulers and public debate , have been used throughout the world to insult faith and prophets. Every nations democracy reflects it's own values. Somalia won't be different. The main issue here isn't about debate, it is interpreting Hadith and the Quran in a way that makes the life of Muslims unbearable. I suggest to you to read carefully the chapters about politics and religion. I think decent Muslims should address this constant spilling of the blood for power, while using religion. The main cause is , a band of extremists could decide who is not following the Sharia. fundamental rights ingrained in the Quran are discarded favoring weak or disputed Hadith for certain segments to have power over others. Following these harsh interpretations Al-Baghdadi of ISIS will be the all knowing Amir that couldn't be challenged. He will be acting as infallible Amir and he will rule until he dies, just like the kings of the Arab world. We should not afraid of moderation. The religion is mercy, tolerance and forgiveness, not oppression and hardship. please read carefully the book.

I read the early chapters of this scholarly book Witten by this man, Mr. C/saciid. I will reserve my final judgement when I finish reading the whole book. So far , what impressed me most is his introduction: Waxa jira laba walxood oo loo baahan yahay in laka saaro. Labadaas walxaadna waxay kala yihiin: diinta iyo afkaarta diiniga ah. Diintu waa wixii nebigu (SCW) la yimid oo ah quraanka kariimka iyo sunnada nebiga , oo ka kooban wixii uu afka ka yiri ama addinka ka fuliyey ee la xiriira fulinta diinta. Afkaarta diiniga ahina waa sida diinta loo fahmay geeridii nebiga ka dib. Haddii si kale loo yiraahdo, afkaarta diiniga ahi waa sida aadamigu u akhriyo aayadaha quraanka iyo sunnada nebiga. Diintu waa kooban tahay, oo quraanka kariimku waa inta musxafka ku qoran, axaadiista nebiguna waa intuu yiri ama falay intuu noolaa2. Laakiin si taa ka duwan, afkaarta diiniga ahi ma dhammaato, oo waxaa xukuma waqtiga iyo meesha la joogo, oo seben walba iyo meel kasta waxaa ka jira afkaar diini ah oo u goonni ah. tusaale ahaan, fiqiga culumada maanta joogaa dhinacyo badan buu 1 Axaadiista nebiga (SCW) carrabka loogu tiro ee aan har iyo habeen maqalno waxaa ka mid ah kuwa oranaya: " Seef baa la ila soo diray, kheyrkuna seeftuu ku jiraa." iyo mid kale oo oranaya: "Ummaddaydu kheyr ka suuli mayso inta ay seefta sidato." iyo weliba mid kale oo oranaya: "Arsaaqdayda waxaa la galiyey warankayga hoostiisa !! ". Akhristow aan isweydiinnee nebigu ma bililiqo ku nool buu ahaa? I can see how someone is already accusing him of talking about Bililiqo. Maybe he didn't use the right word, but I can confidently say that " he meant that the religion of Prophet Mohamed is bigger than The specific era of armed struggle, which was very short time. I think what impress me is the huge difference between what Islamic the scholars wrote in their translation of Quran and Hadith and the never changing rock solid of the Quran. Madhabs or schools of thoughts, whether it is Shafici, Xambali or Xanifi were intended for the average Muslim to follow by using this easy understanding of the Hadith and Quran. Remember over 90% of the people couldn't read or write in that era. So, you need someone to simplify for the masses. I have no use , or I should say, while I respect for their scholarly work, I wouldn't call myself as shafici or Xanafi. It is good for the masses who live in a certain place to have similar or identical Madhab to make easier for people to unite, but for me I can go directly to the source without any madhab. many explanations of the early years will not hold water today. " Kala saarida Afkaarta Culimada iyo Diinta", that is a good start, because after centuries or a thousand year that opinion of the scholar could became a religious ruling that could be incorporated with the faith. You can't find any scholarly book on any important subject written by a Somali sheikh. Usually they translate other works , but you could hardly see anyone write. Writing a book about " Fiqi" , needed not only knowledge , but also the command of the language. Go find if you can any scholarly work of a Somali sheikh. Most of them listen recorded videos or cassettes. Writing needs intelligence , research, Knowledge, and courage, which most Somali Ullema do not have. I am impressed with richness of the Somali language he is using and the use of the a great Somali vocabulary. Soon most of semi-literate Somali Sheikhs will not hold couldn't participate the knowledge based Interpretation of Islam. Folks, this is the beginning of new scholarly written Somali works. I bet very few of the so called sheiks who unleashed Al-shabaab to Somalia have the capacity to even debate. To simplify for those who couldn't Somali language well , I will try to explain his intension using my own opinion. Another big chapter the one dealing " KUwa aan Kitaabka ku Xukumini way Gaaloobeen". " Those who do not judge by the Quraan are Kufaar". He really explains very well on this. When Jacfar binu Cabaas of the Cabasid Caliphate, took the power by force, he came to Median and asked the greats jurist of all time and the judge of Median, Iman Malik And said " Xukunikii waan qabsanay ee beeco Ayaan ka arabaa in aad raacdo" he says I am the Amir follow me. Imaam Maalik said " you took the power without consultation and force , so I will not be part of that". He arrested him beat him and put him on top of donkey and was paraded throughout the town. the New Dictator said " That is the punishment of those who disobey the Amir. Those Amir's killed those who disobeyed them by calling them anti the Muslim Amir. Others called them corrupt and unlawful called them Apostate. The cycle of violence continued until they finished off one another. Remember, Godane called Sheekh Shariif Apostate, while he was fighting him. Even in Egypt the Wahabi based Hisbul Nuur called the elimination of the those who opposed Mursi, since they are against the Amir. Folks read this book and then offer you fact based comment.

I can feel you are a decent and God fearing sister who want to settle down in the right way. We all know what is lawful or unlawful, but here the intension is good. It will be difficult for young man to come home without the expectation of marriage. Since you asked us again I have to spill the beans. My nice who is 29 years old, Who moved from the east to our home, was exactly wondering just like you. " Walaahi I swear to Allah, I am not Exaggerating". In her case a family member found a guy whom he works with. We told her about the guy who is interested and the first order was to bring him home and introduce to her. It was Ramadan , so We had "afthir" together, and after little chat , we gave them some privacy to know one another in the living room. Things went well, so they decided to continue. On our side we made sure he is not involved with any drugs, alcohol or other bad behaviour things and he is gainfully employed or studying. Since they both seeking marriage, few extended talks are necessary. so ,They have to meet few times outside the house, but it was always a daylight, mainly malls or Starbucks. In one occasion , even my wife went with them. For my side, Other than the first encounter , I am behind the scene , mostly cheeking background. Since all went well , we want to do as soon as possible. " Meher iyo aeoos mar la is raaciyo". Some people may fell in love for whatever reason, but , the main concept is Alaah says we put mercy and love among the husband and wife. This may look an arranged marriage, but, it was up to them to decide. What I mean is if you meet somebody, it is difficult for them to come to your house first. Forget about movie or similar thing, but meet them in public places, if he shows to be someone seeking a marriage, invite him home in order for him to see your family values. The honor and respect he receives from your family may lead some reluctant guy to proceed with lawful marriage rather than waste your and his tine. Fools who are not series will disappear quickly. Show dignity , be a good listener, show caring and Be respectful. At the same time respect yourself, because Those who are interested in marriage will respect you. Talking to people with respect is not a bad thing. I know being conservative is a good virtue that will eventually pay off. you are looking honor, so, don't be shy. Good luck.

Waryaa Tilamook, do not listen these worthless Somali websites who write lie and lies. Somalia has already it's own problems, do not put fuel in the fire. He is probably a sixty or more years old Somali who doesn't exercise and sit most of his days while running a very stressful job. Heart attack is a common disease these days. All we can say is Allah ha u naxariisto.

I saw the thread early this morning when I was leaving for work. I decided not to make any knee jerk reaction or just throw some of mty thoughts. Now after sitting down with some reflection, I will like to add my few senses. Definitely I will like to find and buy this book. Futurenow, it doesn't matter if you heard him or not. The article says that he is a fifty years old man who has degree in Islamic law and have other credentials by writing many books. T thought the SOL crowd knew better than quick overreaction. Nin Yaban, want to even hang him. I agree with him. This man is a servant of Allah and good teacher of Islam. People like him will advance the cause of Islam better than Al-shabaab and Sheekh Umal. I will write soon the role Sheekh Umal and others had for the creation of Al-shabaab and other extremist ideas. Ummal is a rich businessman bankrolled by Wahabi money long time ago. He was part of Sheekh Aweys and Al-shabaab for long time. He finally woke up when they followed him in Nairobi where he was based. He denounced them only after they attacked Westgate mall in Kenya. He was wasting peoples time few years ago by debating whether the meat of the Hyena was lawful in Kismaayo and Al-shabaab controlled area. I remember a friend saying " waar dadkii bay laynayaan oo ay cunayaane , Imikana ma waraabay ka doodayaan". people like Ummal ceased to be scholars long time ago. They are businessmen first, Their only job is two incite and preach the crowd with the ideas that destroyed Somalia. Those who are threatening his family and life are the same followers of Al-shabaab who took many innocent lives. it is time that this educated scholars to take their religion in charge. In early Islam or During the time of the Holy Prophet, If you research , you can't find cases of people killed for Apostasy or people their hands chopped for stealing. The only places where the weakest among society is being persecuted for stealing or adultery are Al-shbaab, Taliban and other Wahabi strongholds. It was very rare cases. If you look Islamic history, it was non existent. Allah Subhana Watacala says " There is no completion in religion. In early days Apostacy was the betrayal of a trust, and transgressors paid with their lives. Even in modern times , if a solder spied for the enemy or gave secrets , they were killed. The United States executed people for giving necluer secrets or working for the enemy. The early cases of apostacy would fall in this category. It was a case where to opposing groups waging a battle for life and death was waged. Those among the believers who becomes an apostate would automatically join the opposing side. it was a known fact. In modern world were people of different faith intermingle and share nations , it is different case. During the war between the Prophet (scw), and the Kuffaar of Makah, a well known Saxaabah, secretly sent a letter to Makah warning them about the coming conflict. The Prophet using " Waxyi" revelation from Allah called that certain lady heading for Makah should be intercepted. First she refused, but after careful inspection she revealed the letter. The problem was, it was sent by one of the companion of Prophet. Cumar Binul Khadaab said " O Prophet of Allah let me cut his head since he became a hypocrite( Munaafiq). The man was one of the participant of the Bedar which Allah SWT, in he Quraan forgave their sins. The Prophet of Allah said, he is " Axsaabul Bedar, he is forgiven, but let us hear his reasoning". the Campanion said " Oh, Prophrt of Allah, most of you have your families, wifes and children with you, but I left all my family including my wife and children and family, and I decided to join you . " I am afraid that the Quresh of Makah may hurt my family, so I gave them this information to get some favors for my family". The Prophet told him he was forgiven. In another case , when people propsed the elimination of the Hypocrites among the Comapinouns of the Prophet , The Prophet of Allah said " I will not be the one who kills his own campaniouns"( La I odhan Maayo Asaxaabtiisuu laayaa". While Umar Binu Khadaab (radilaahu Canhu), passing behind a house , he heard a man was hemming and hawing, while his speech was similar to a drunk person. Cumar, entred the house and brought the drunk man to the Prophet(scw). The Prophet of Allah, asked Cumar, " how did you find him?.". He said " I was passing behind his house when I herad the voice of a drunk man". The Prophet (scw), said "( laa ta Jasusu) do not spy one another". Our faith is not based on weak Hadiths but the Quraan and authentic hadith that doesn't contradict the Quran. Millions of people around the world are embracing Islam every year. At the same time , in modern times, if someone leaves the circle of Islam wherever reason, Allah will deal with him the day of Judgement. Part of the Iman or the Articles of Imman is to believe in the day of judgement. now days , we have people who want to persecute everyone. This debate should be between scholars of high caliber, it must not be allowed to be hijacked by " bayd gab, Wadaad yare or one of those who record cassettes for publicity or wish to be called Sheihk without any Islamic degree. Personally, I know one my uncles who after high school went to Cuba for scholarship and came back as Godless communist. Few of as knew this. I remember debating with him as a high school student. That was in 1983. Ten years after the war, he reverted and became a good " Wadaad" with extended family. Allah guides whom he wishes. WE have already enough spilling of blood and mayhem. I urge the young people that do not spend your time by listening a cassette recorded by small time Wadaad, but seek the knowledge your self. You would not believe how Islam is ageless and modern any many ways. We have to take back our faith from the extremists.

Libaax, in this context you are correct . The letter is addressing the leadership of the prison services, Hoganka. Gudoomiyaha Hogaanka shaqaalaha. Chairman of the labour commission.

Libaax, in this context you are correct . The letter is addressing the leadership of the prison services, Hoganka. Gudoomiyaha Hogaanka shaqaalaha. Chairman of the labour commission.

In Somali government " Hogaan" was meant for " commission". In this sentence, the object " Ciidanka Asluubta", makes the sentence or grammatically incorrect. It means these services are for the prison guard members. I believe they meant the services the guards do in the prison. They could say " Hogaanka Howlaha Xabsiyada" " The Prison Services Commission". When you see " ciidanla Asluubta" means " Correctional Police". For those who are reading The Hogaanka Hawlaha Xabsiyada Ciidanka Asluubta", It may even mean " The prison services for correctional officers" That is grammatically wrong. The commission is not for the officers, it is for the prisoners. Asluub, means good manners. In this case it is for correctional officers. " the word " Ciidanka", is used for police, military, and correctional officers.

Ragii ma adigaa Ka Hadhaye, Runti Manigaa ka Baqayee.... I know everyone must get marry with the Will of ALLAH and one his/her time comes. It seems times are changing. Of course some are in school and want to finish their educations , others do not consider themselves as mature enough, while others never want to grow or refusing to grow. The biggest hurdle in marriage used to be lack of employment . When I was in high school most of the teachers and other young men were unable to marry, because they couldn't feed a family. I remember seeing men who came back from the gulf ( Janaaleyaal), always marrying the best girls, while the guy next door couldn't afford. Again time has changed. I thought every young man especially those who are between 24 to 28, were a desire to tie the notch . When I was at Gahayr in late eighties, my biggest dream was always " When am I going to marry a young Somali girl?". It was a constant thought. Because of the lack of opportunities in Somalia, it was tough. Today , I see young people who are both capable of earning income, which means double income in the early times before children, yet kept postponing or not finding their match. I am willing to put the blame squarely on these young men who are still wearing their pants down. Marrying a Somali has a lot of advantages. Guys, I will tell you if you are interested ....... any way Waajibkiina qabsada... Ragii ma idinka ka hadhay..
-
Mr.Ciidan, I didn't know that you were waiting my response. This are issues of great importance. They are matters of cultural behaviour in the gulf, manifesting as religion. I always use my knowledge, imagination and intellect to express my thoughts. Yes, I use Google to confirm certain dates and names, but I try to frame my writing on both history and recent events. I am not sentimental and I do not burry me head in the sand for obvious facts. At the same time I don't want to throw unguided comments that relate in terms of Aqeedah and religion. Having said that, I may agree with you on the ottoman Caliphate on the issue of ideological differences in terms of religion. Across the Empire they were all adherents of Hannifi Madhab and that School of thought was applied every where. Yet, even in a moderate Ottoman empire , the decline of their system started long time ago. The decline of the Muslim Empires began in 1490, in Spain, when the queen Isabella and king Ferdinand declared the Iberian peninsula Muslim free. The caucus and central Asia of the Tatars were defeated in 18th century The Russians, while the British took over India in the middle of the 19th century. Some of these systems were only existent in name only. The biggest cause of this defeats and the unexpected decline was, they refused to modernize and industrialize. In Britain, Germany and with some degree Russia were all modernizing and improving their system of government. You can't control or rule people with 15th or 17th century feudal monarchy or even an all knowing Sultan. You and I know the WAhabi movement is the most backward thinking and despotic in arranging modern government. You keep talking about Arab dictatorship. Well dictators are breaded by the culture of despotism in certain communities. If things follow these trends, people from every walk of life will be liberated. The Africans will embarrass democracy, the Asians are doing okay, and the only place where tyranny of either Wahabi despots masquerading as Islamic system or dictators of the Al-Sisi type will remain in the Arab countries. They will be the only place where despotism will rule. You may deny it , but, where ever these Wahabis touched catches fire. Now they are in Nigera with Boko Haram. Certain things can only happen in the Arab world. Saddam Hussen fought three of the biggest and bloodiest wars for last thirty years. In 1980, he invaded Iran. Both the Wahabi Saudis and the Gulf monarchies bankrolled that war. Finally , when they refused to pay their share , he attacked Kuwait , another despotic Monarchy in 1990. The Wahabis pushed that war against Iraq with help of America. Now in 2003, another war came. All this is happening in the same gulf. These same Wahabis with the Saudi money are bank rolling another war in 2014. We all know ISIS in A Wahabi movement both in their behaviour and actions. How can four or five consecutive wars are happening in the same neighborhood?. This won't happen or can't be allowed to happen in Asia, Latin America or Europe. No one will accept that these groups want to change the communist , atheist and nationalist dictatorship with another fanatical despotic religious movement claiming to be a change movement. Unless they act responsibly , they won't win any thing. Look at Syria, don't they realize that change means total destruction of hundred of thousands and three million refugees. Yet , they keep pushing. For the Wahabi fighters with black flag, the civilians are collateral damage. CiidanSuldaan, my writing are intended for these extremist movements who are racking havoc around the Muslim world to reverse their action, Especially the Somalis and stop their destruction. I wouldn't be writing these pages if I were in Somalia, Egypt or Iran. So, stop your constant uploading of these selective you tube videos and start helping the victims of these murderous cult.

Mooge, they both exist in Somalia. Don't reject the good news.
-
Is he promised to build some low income housing, fight drugs and keep the community save?. What is the major reason Somalis are throwing their lot to ford.

Tilamook, Waad Iga qoslisay Walaahi. So We are waiting for Mr. malister to clear the air. I don't think the President has the majority of the cabinet. It may even look like a sabotage. If any one of the ministers participates a sabotage of the Prime minister without just cause, they will be finished. They will not have any standing or future among the public. If goes to the Parliament , it will be a messy proceeding. The damage suffered by Qoslaaye will finish him off. He has to forget any future role. The best option is to manage this disagreement and come to understanding.
-
since the Prime minister got the control of the government , things are moving good. Al-shabaab is down . and the interior ministry is working. Mr. President work with this man and reach out. Let him manage the ministers. The biggest problem is this stupid constitution which is ambiguous. The powers of the two positions are overlapping. Somalia do not need another fight. let the Prime Minister finish his term.

Odey, if the constitution states as you said , you are correct. On the other hand since the prime minister doesn't operate under the auspice of political parties residing in the parliament, the President is the head of the state and he is technically responsible for the selection of the Prime minister. The Prime Minister wasn't appointed from any party. His existence is through the appointment of the government. also , he must implement the agenda of the leader. Remember, it was the President who campaigned and elected by the Parliament. While he was campaigning , he has to implement his plat form. If we are debating un issue in a normal sense of the parliamentary democracy, the prime Minister has the power to push his agenda, but for the Somalia of today, the rules must bended a little to co-exist. Also, the Prime minister can't purge from the government the allies of the President. Having said that, the President shouldn't hastily answer or claim to block these appointments. That is " fawdo". " shaqadiinii iska wata waa qalad". In all it is typical Somali way of operating , my way or the high way. There are other underlying problems in the government, mainly insubordination. The president may put some of his men in the cabinet as a power sharing arrangement, but they should know, the prime minister is the chief executive that everyone must answer. One thing is clear, if this prime minster is removed or pushed for impeachment in the Parliament, both him and Culusow will go together. So, if impeachment starts, at the same time the next leader to finish the term before 2016, must also prepare himself. I am a candidate. -

I was mistaken, I thought Bayle was among those shuffled. He is still here. Any way, the Prime minster has every right to shuffle, but he must consult with President. When a Prime minister has his own majority mp's in the Parliament , he could do as he chooses, but under the current agreement, the head of state must have a say about the composition of the cabinet. Second the Prime minister shouldn't be looking for confrontation at this moment. He must learn to co-exit. As some have stated , their is constant struggle for the future and the election of 2016. One thing is for sure that some of the ministers might have forgetting who is the boss. You could have been appointed from the Presidents circle , but you must be subordinate with prime minister. -

It is a little shake up. In the cabinet meetings I see always Farah sitting beside the Prime minister while other important ministers are way back. I think he is sidelined. How about C/rahman Bayle. As I said before he was was a bureaucrat not a politician. I heard that Kenya wasn't happy about the international court issue of the sea. CiidanSuldaan, there were ideological problems during the ottoman and even before. Where are the Tatars ruling the caucuses in 16th century and after. They were busy with slave trades and other issues. They used to raid and and fight the Russians with equal or superior footing, Suddenly the tide turned. They refused to modernize and advance technologically. A German born lady Catherine the great became the queen of Russia who built a modern army with superior organization. She not only defeated the Tatars but forced them to be under the protection of the Russian Empire. They survived few centuries after that because of the ottomans, finally, they became one of the small ethnic groups under the soviet. Even the Ottomans were going down technologically, economically and organizational level before the first world war. A modern state is different from small bands of Ansaru -al sharia, ISIS, and other groups rooming the land with pick up trucks. In Libya, soon you will have four or five factions fighting one another for supremacy. Working with others and tolerating dissent is not their character. expect anarchy and violence. If you can't remove the dictator in peaceful organized way, then you must be patient and accept the current situation and wait for another day. Look at Russia, a DICTATOR is running the country. His term is already expired in 2008, yet he came back with different mechanism. The people saw his moves but accepted for their common interest. The Muslim world is bigger than Iraq, Libya or Syria. It bigger than the Arab world. The Indian subcontinent has more Muslims than the entire Arab world. This is the struggle Arab society to manage their affairs. They have been blaming Israel for all their weaknesses and problems. Well, they must look in the mirror and smell the coffee.
-
CiidanSuldaan, the Wahabi ideology is connected to some of unexplained violence in the Muslim world. The return of puritan Islam they are talking is sawing discord and violence. The so called occupation Al-shabaab intended to fight were here because of their actions. They are also using everyone including criminals and others who poor and destitute. In late nineteen eighties before the advent of violent religious movements, a well known Somali sheikh said " after observing the actions these Wahabis, not only they are capable of verbally attacking others , but they may raise their hands for other Muslims or even kill." This was long time ago. Dr.K I do not blame America or Israel anymore. If you act like a wild gog , you will be put down. look at Somalia, no foreign army came in 1990, it was the Somalis who destroyed their country. Look at Iraq, Saddam was offered an exile with all his families in order to save his country, he decided to destroy it with help of America. Look at Al-Sisi of Egypt, he killed thousands , he want to rule with blood in his hands, and no conscience. check the difference. When the FIS movement of Algeria won the election the military cancelled and have taken power by force. The Wahabi inspired Islamic Army Group went total war and destruction. In Turkey, more than once they war disbanded more than once, but kept coming back. it is the ideology " I will get what I want or will kill".

When I say the know nothing party, most of you may think this as a derogatory label intended to put down these extremist groups. The biggest surprise here is they wish to be called the know- nothing monument. If you are a student of history, there were movements and even political parties who campaigned as the Know- Nothing Party. In 1849, an anti , catholic and immigrant party was formed by the nativist Americans called the know-nothing party. In 2012, during the Egyptian election, a famous scholar and writer called the Wahabi based " Hisbul Nuur " of Egypt, the know-nothing party, because of close mindedness and backward thinking. During the Musrsi government they incited violence and one of their TV announcers called the elimination of the opposition party leaders since they are against the Amir. As soon as the military took over the power, they aligned themselves with Saudi financed dictator, and denounced Mursi and his movement. As I stated in the previous article, they quote hadiths out of contest, and they assume wrongly the word of their founders may out weight that of the Qur'aan itself. Allah says in the quraan, " Ask the people of knowledge if you don't know". In another Surrah He says, " Are those equal, those who know from those who don't". Knowledge , experience and patience isn't their virtue. A young person asked someone , " how could I be like you/", he said, " you must live many years and read many books". During the golden years of Islam, knowledge and education meant some thing. Even in the early years , Imam Shafaci was asked about being a Mufti ( scholar) to make a Fatwa ( religious edict). He said " I memorized the Quraan when I was seven years old,, and before I was declared a scholar, a group of learned men certified my knowledge. In the thirteen century, you couldn't become a mufti unless you mastered the knowledge of that era. That means you must be a master of medicine, astronomy, and science or you wouldn't be allowed to have an opinion on matters of religious and worldly debate. About ten years ago I read a book called " The Medicine of the Prophet" written by Ibnu Qayim Aljawzi , some six hundred years ago. This was one of the most progressive books Witten in the thirteen century. It writes abbot all matters of health, physiological deceases , depression, insomnia, and all matters of personal relationship. I was astonished when he was describing the love making approaches between husband and wife. He suggests that, rather than making love immediately, he was recommending cuddling kissing and foul l play before the final love making. since this is a family page I will leave there, but when I read the book, I thought these were some of the most modern statements I ever hear. Every thing in the book was either quoted from Quran, Hadith or other medical knowledge. If the thirteen century Muftis were required to master astronomy, medicine and science, then, what is the modern day requirement of those who are dispensing Islamic knowledge , wisdom , social issue and technological advances. In 2006, in United sates of America , there was huge debate about the destruction of the Embryonic Stem Cells. After five days of fertilization the inner cells could be isolated from the Embryo which results the destruction of the Blastocyst. Some people believe that during the implantation period, these embryos might have developed as human beings, which ethically means destroying living beings. Other argue, the stem cells are needed for research to find cure for some of the deceases. During this debate about these ethical dilemmas, , some Muslim scholars couldn't find any answers. So they went to Al-Azhar university in Cairo, Egypt, the seat of the one thousand years old institution. There , the scholars of Al-Azhar said " We have no knowledge of these issue, it is the first time we heard such thing as stem cell ", so they have to go the drowning board to find the right ruling on the issue. Judging by today's standard, a Muslim Mufti, who shall decide in the matters of great importance , should be an educated scholar of many things. Different people may have different requirements. For me, I would like to suggest that those Muftis who will be deciding matters of live and death, progress and backwardness, violence and peace , must be people of high knowledge and integrity. My requirements are : 1- They should master the Quran and Hadith , ancient and modern history. They should also must be familiar with science and modern technological advances of the day. Definitely they should be familiar with anthropology and other social sciences. 2- They must be fluent in Arabic, and they should be able to read and comprehend the modern language of business and politics, which means English. 3- They must travel around the world , and immerse themselves to different cultures. They must visit in persons nations like India, China, North America, Africa , Europe, and East Asia. A sheikh driven in limousine in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia, can't answer the modern geopolitics of the 21st century. One of the Sheikhs who dominated religious rulings in the nineties was a blind Sheikh called Ibnu Baz. I remembers nomadic Somalis in Ontario kept quoting him even in the issues happening in Somalia. In any major university, the deans of politics, business and social issue travel around the world to gage the emerging markets, cultural and other characters of those countries. 4- They shouldn't be Ullema under the pockets of the government. In the Gulf , sheikhs are asked to furnish religious edicts (Tatwa), desired by the kings and their people. 5- Those who are moderate, balanced and have a sound and constructive judgement must be considered, rather than the war mongering acting in mob mentality. Finally, on Somali matters, a council of learned Ullema must be assembled and given instruction to rule issues concerning the well being of the people and the nation. If these steps are not taken, we will end up with crazy, blood thirsty and ruthless men like Ahmed Godane and company deciding on matters of life and death. These men like Godane cold easily be exposed as lunatic know-nothing imposters who want to judge among the people while their respectable Ullema are present. The calamity in Somalia was that most of the ullema were unable or unwilling o speak against Godane and company while spilling the blood of the innocent. To tell you the truth, the Somali Ullema are mostly conformists who will not raise their voice for truth. The other problem is everyone is afraid to be ladled as opposing Sharia law or the Islamic way of life. In western Europe , the emergence of Neo Nazi and anti immigrant parties forced the center right governments to shift themselves more to the right in order to attract more votes. The same thing goes with Islamic movements. The Takfiir people consider the Wahabis weak and indecisive, while the Wahbis consider e themselves the chosen ones. It is really astonishing how drifters like Godane, Fuad Shoongale and others, who never had any extensive Islamic knowledge or degree are issuing Fatwa on matters of peace and war. The Know-Nothing movement is still alive, and must be pushed out to have a sane society. The best solution is to identify Wahabism as a dark sect that will destroy the Muslim countries. A Chechen President was trying to negotiate Russia for autonomy and freedom. He was the legitimate leader. Suddenly a Wahabi inspired man showed with his fighters and plunged that country for war and destruction. How can a small band of Arabs and Chechens defeat the second most powerful nation on earth. Well, Wahabis think they are chosen and no one can defeat them. Reasoning is out of the question for this punch. We must stop them before they destroy us all.
