  1. lacagi majirto ma rumaysanayo hada kadib. Bishii shan jeer ayaa aduunka loo dhoofaa, Hoteelada dad dawlada ku xidhan ayaa jiifa oo lacagtooda la bixiyaa, xaflado aan dhamaanayn ayaa la qabtaa, baabuur qaaliya ayaa socota. hase ahaatee, $100 askriga poliska la mahayo.
  2. I don't mind little face lift or some prestige to the office of the President, I do not get the idea of taking huge sofas to events and sit alone in a big couch while everybody else is sitting in a chair. I want that money to go to a solder defending the country.
  3. Coofle, please keep educating people about this cancer. As you said the Roman empire was extended from British isle to Syria and mesopotamia. European powers fought one another for one thousand years. In the twentieth century alone over fifty million people have died during first and second world war. Those nations are united today under EU Caliphate as you said. It started with economic liberalization and reducing of trade barriers. Now with common currency and political union is the foundation. In 1945, similar union of the Arab nations have started in the middle east and Africa. for seventy years till the day they formulated up to now, nothing have changed. Rather than condemn Israel from time to time, nothing tangible came out of this union. No trade, cultural, or political union . It is a tribal club, where feudal monarchies, despots, Dictators and corrupt rulers agree to disagree and denounce one another. The Arab league is the most incompetent, corrupt and backward institution ever formed by any group nations. This so called Caliphate is the same Arab dictatorship taking religious character. They will kill every human being that have a different opinion. of course they will kill jews, christians and people who have different culture, but before they reach that state, they have to eliminate every shia or Muslim who do not adhere their twisted murderous way of life. In order to set up despotic rule, they have to kill millions in Iraq and Syria. First they claimed to be fighting a dictator, as a democracy seeking movement, when they couldn't get their way, they said they are fighting a shia monopoly of power by calling the Sunnis to help them. There is no Islam here, other than blood thirsty sects killing one another. We all heard about Al-shabaab saying during the month of Ramadan, they will increase the killing of Somali people. People may not know , but the whole GDP ( gross domestic product ), or the size of their economy of the whole Arab world is not even equal to that of France, a single country. They want to end civilizations, but they will be dead enders who will follow the modern cults that vanished. Before they disappear from the scene, they will cause the suffering of millions of their own people. Just look at Mosul, Iraq's second biggest city, which produced one million refugees in one week.
  4. This big sofa really bugs me. It shows a fat cat enjoying life while his country in burning.
  5. I do not blame the Sub clans. It is the system. strong transparent system is needed. We are a nation of looters. We should never never trust the so called ministers, and those who are in charge of finances. I have a friend who have a body shop. He deals with insurance adjusters. You can't imagine how many Somalis are getting rid the their cars (Khaarijin),to cash in. I really feel for the poor and rural people who are destitute, while donor aid is specifically to build water wells and food for their children.
  6. I agree it is dilema. A national army will eliminate the need for foreign armies milking the country. Local Service and institutions could have been decentralized, but that won't happen. I do not mind a strong leader who want to take matters to alleviate anarchy and extremism. Rotten cultures are hard to change. Did you see all these people waiting for handouts. Even those going back home are looking easy catch not hard work. It will take generations unless we get one decent leader who cleans up the garbage, starting from his own clan. All it takes is one good leader. look at south africa, Ghana and others.
  7. Dr. Kenny , before you decentralize, you have to take the power from these fat cats. They will not allow decentralization or accountability. Adeer , in America, thy already have electricity, water, food and many things. The debate is about other issues. Unemployment is 7% , so they are doing fine. We are talking about people stealing and denying people the basic things like water and food. Pro corruption communities are growing among the people.

After 54 years, people expect more from those who are in charge, especially the president of Somalia and the people who are in the capital. I do not see any sense of emergency to get out of these misery. I watch documentaries about hardship, human suffering and final triumph of those who overcame. What we are facing in Somalia and in the horn is nothing compare to the hardships, wars and other calamities that many nations faced. After the conclusion of the second world war, the Soviet Union lost 25 million people and the biggest destruction in human history, yet they rose and became super power. Others transformed themselves within a generation. They didn't have today's technology and information high ways to do all those things. Now, what are we doing to change this. We are all tired of this constant debate about who has built few houses, or controles few barren villages or who is welcomed by Addis and Nairobi. Tribes are their own entities. Each one has his/her own view point of the Somali issues, they have particular narratives of history and they will never admit wrong doing. Accepting guilt is a weakness. Universal, standard of justice do not apply to them. The basic natural policies of every tribe is to distrust their immediate neighbors, alienate as much as possible , and assume them as your enemies. Furthermore, they watch carefully any gains made by others, either with ministerial appointments or other economic gains. Looting , patronage and unfair advantages are cherished. Moderates and people of common sense are banished from political circles and are considered weak. They have their own deluded logics. Lately , I have seen in the media, tribes and regions claiming the ownership of public infrastructure, like ports and airports. These public land marks are not built by these tribes. Almost all of them were built by the state or with help of foreign governments. From the port of Kismayo, Mogadishu , Boosaaso and Berbera , all of them were built with help of other countries. As international law dectates, sovereign nation control all point of entries of their land. These include land crossing in border posts, maritime and ports for ships, and international airports. All goods , vehicles and people passing through these entry points, must be inspected by the national government . Tariffs and custom duties must be collected by the state. The regional port and airport authorities or even cities, may manage the day to day operations of the ports and airports, but they have no any jurisdiction to collect taxes or custom duties. The local or regional governments can gain revenues from the ports, like trucks hauling freights, deducting taxing from the workers, visitors to the city and other business activities created by those who are either flying or importing and exporting goods. Most of you have seen certain groups , mostly from Mogadishu , have been complaining about the taxes generated by the airport and port of Mogadishu. In their mind , they believe these custom duties and taxes collected by the federal government are theirs. The mogadishu port is built by the Somali state and it belongs to all regardless or where they live. One of them said " lacagtii ka soo baxday dekeda iyo airporka ayaa laga masruufaa baarlamaanka Soomaaliya". Last month a member of Parliament from Sanaag Cali Daacuun, complained about the constant harassment faced by the Parliamentarians from tribal leaders in Mogadishu. They think that by repeating these lies, it could become a legitimate grief of wronged people. These are national landmarks that happen to be in the Capital city of the country. Others say " cashuurta Boosaaso iyo Berbera waa dekedahii dawladee, maxaa lacag looga qaadi laayahy". Well, if you want to collect taxes across the nation , then support the state institutions, stop sympathizing with extremists and make sure your neighborhoods is free of Al-shabaab. The meagre resources and custom duties from Boosaaso is what keeps Puntland running partially. Rather than give back some of the aid money from foreign countries to these administration in order for them to provide some badly needed public service, they want that money too. Do we have to debate everything. For peace of mind and harmony , please stop this nonsense and concentrate other issues that make sense. Big sofas and couches for the elite. It never happens anywhere in the world, except probably the Arab monarchies. Why not sit with normal chairs for the two hours you are there. People line up at Hargeisa airport to welcome Palace minister Hersi. They all want certain favors. they must have plenty of time to sit hours to welcome a mere minister. Here the whole military leadership is greeting the dear leader. Below, the Police chief too is here. Don't they have jobs or business to take care of, such as military to build, crimes to investigate. In the lights of daily attacks , their place should have been full. Below, another red carpet for the dear leader. No wonder nothing is executed or done. After 23 years, Somaliland is stable and they achieved some success compared to other area of Somalia. Yet with massive opportunity they had , accomplished nothing in terms of building public infrastructure , reducing unemployment , or having any long term vision to develop, other than keep talking about recognition and lack of support. They lift few fingers to do few insignificant projects and they bare praised , because they are better than the last guy. In order to look at their weakness and incompetence , look carefully their 2014 budget. In the real world health and education usually takes minimum 35%. The Somaliland budget is divided among thieves , ministers and the palace. healthcare/education is allocated 9.6% or 12 million. it runs or manages directly or indirectly, 107 MCH ( medical clinics), 164 health posts and about a dozen hospitals. The finance ministry doubled its budget and other benefits, despite hiring only 150 employees. Mr. Samaale is filling his coffers. After allocating the palace for millions , he is taking his cut through the ministry budget. the ministry of presidency is taking 7% of the budget , or 8.8 million. it has more budget than 15 ministries. 27 employees and three directors work in the palace, and have half a dozen cars, yet they allocated for employees salary a whopping hundreds of thousands. So where does the money go. Do they get paid about $ 20,000/ month. where does the money go. They have more money than the combined budget of the agriculture, water, fishing, livestock , industry, education, public works or 15 ministries. $9 million for Siilaanyo are nothing but slash funds. 30% of the GDP ( gross domestic product) comes from livestock. yet the budget allocated for livestock is 0.66%. The only export that earns foreign currency comes from the livestock export. The rural people who produce this cash do not have adequate water wells or basic health care. What kind of a sick mind allocates 0.66%, while they need all these. One of the reasons Somalis everywhere will never have justice is how they treat the rural people. These are the foundations of the economy and country life. No schools, water or health care. The money will be given through privilege by the men who are idly standing government offices and palaces. The presidential guard's budget is $2.5 million. It has 54% more than the water ministry. No wonder there are water shortages , everywhere. $ 5 million for roads. that might be good, , but talking about building roads and executing are different things. Talking about something is just a dream, executing is another. It took four years and 2 millions to build the 18 mile road between Borama - Dilla, while 60% contributed by the people. Why do not give every region certain amount to build their roads. gollaha wakiiladu way dhagaysataan dooda laakiin waxba kama bedelaan. They do not know their role . they should not be listening or recommending the changes, they must force the changes. They should vote these changes and vote on them. furthermore, they should have independent budget officers controlled by the parliament who must produce their own budgets in contrast to the one presented by the minister. If the corrupt minister allocates less than a million for water resources and 8 million for the palace ministry , the parliament must reject and change. These so called parliament listens , protests and nothing is changed. Not one single item is changed or refused to pass. Rather than confuse the public by claiming to be legislators, they must stop lying and abdicate their responsibilities. The most destructive legacies of the Siilaanyo government is they destroyed the parliament, by buying them as they wish. there are huge unemployment in Somaliland , what are they doing to address that. Did they allocate money to train the young people?. They could put aside money every year for hiring about 300 to 400 graduates in the local city governments. Cities need health inspectors, clerks, by law enforcement officers, tax collectors, land registry and archive administrators, property assessors and financial managers. It could enhance governance and give some jobs for these young men instead of going to the high seas. Waxay samayn karaan in ay sanadkiiba mashruuc culus xooga saaraan. The problem is they have no vision, and are spending half of their time to consolidate power and build corrupt alliances.. Improve fishing industry in the local areas. invest in cold chain refrigerators and storage facilities. 2 million dollars could cultivate 5000 hectares of land. It could reduce the constant dependency of food imports. The presidential guard have 400% more than the agricultural ministry. leave the money local governments collect or give them back equalization payment or tax returns so they could address their daily problems like roads, hygiene and local issues. for the 2014 budget they are estimating to collect 62 million dollars from the cities. They need help, stop sucking money from them like a vacuum. Somaliland trust fund , donated by only britain and Denmark total this fiscal year about $ 13,000,000 dollars. Use these money for the improvement of public services, like healthcare and infrastructure, water and education. spend these money directly to the rural people, villages and towns. Stop using these funds as discretionary funds to spend in your own pet projects. $13 million, that is a lot of money if used properly. If this the system , it will take 50 years or more to reach any meaningful development. In the real world people are working day and night to lift themselves from poverty. nations implement plans to transform their societies.. Hard work from the top (leader ), to the common man are the only way. Wherever you look small group of connected people are enriching themselves while everyone is starving. For peace of mind and harmony , please stop these nonsense and concentrate other issues that make sense. xuska 26 June Muqdisho Big sofas and couches for the elite. It never happens anywhere in the world, except probably the Arab monarchies. Why not sit with normal chairs for the two jours you are their. Time and money are spent o Another big comfy chair for the king. Is this a leader of a country in crisis. People line up at Hargeisa airport to welcome Palace minister Hersi. They all want certain favors. they must have plenty of time to sit hours to welcome a mere minister. All those blue dresses and printed pictures cost money. They probably did not pay the salary of the solder in Hiiraan or some other places. No wonder they can't find Al-shabaab killers. if these is what they are spending their time , major issues of security takes a back seat. Bring 300 people to the airport to welcome a guy who went to Nairobi. Keep partying until the caws come home. Here the whole military leadership is greeting the dear leader. Below, the Police chief too is here. Don't they have jobs or business to take care of, such as military to build, crimes to investigate. In the lights of daily attacks , their place should have been full. They will never meet on their own will, unless ordered by their masters. If President Siilaanyo goes to Addis ababa or Dubai, welcoming him costs thousands of dollars and must be coordinated days. I jiid aan ku jiide. Below, another red carpet for the dear leader. No wonder nothing is executed or done. Another line up. parasites with plenty of time to hustle. Fat cats, They don't seem to be ready to work. Government business takes back seat. party politics and pickering consumes most of the time. Beeralayda ayey ku dhiirigelin karaan in ay waxay soo saaran dib uga iibsadaan. haku baxdo dhawr million. $20 million oo wada dhisid ah ayey dakka gelin karaan, shaqooyin ku abuuri karaam. If these is the system , it will take 50 years or more to reach any meaningful development. This is a victory for some. Meeting the boss. In the real world people are working day and night to lift themselves from poverty. nations implement plans to transform their societies.. Hard work from the top (leader ), to the common man are the only way. Wherever you look small group of connected people are enriching themselves while everyone is starving. 12. He dived earlier in the game. He was trying to enter the penalty box all day. Poor Mexicans, why wouldn't they stop him outside, even foul him at this stage of the game. The referees are interfering with the game. You never give penalty in the ninetieth minute. If you do, you are deciding the outcome.
  13. Dalmar, it is my business. If every HAG is claiming Shabeelaha and Dr. Osman from Bari claiming Jubba, then, Shabeealha Hoose is my land, since it is A D...r country. By blood the land of Watermaal is mine too. Furthermore, I do not like injustice. On the SNM boys, we agreed together to keep these place safe and prosperous. We are intermixed, and just like your Galgaduud boys, we are related too. That doesn't mean we could agree on everything. We are not subjected to anyone, if we could agree by ourselves, we could leave the Somaliland project tomorrow, but it is not our interest. There is what scientists call political implosion and explosion. One is within, and the other is to your close sphere. We the Awdal people are aware of the consequences. Hadii aanu nidhaahno aan ka baxno, marka hore anagaa isku qarxayna, marka ku xigana deriska iyo ciddii noo dhow ayaanu ku Qarxaynaa. For now our best interest and future peace is to remain in the body of Somaliland. We have big stake in this . Well, you may not understand my point of view. anyway, I have stake in the south too.
  14. galbeedi

    Ramadan Karim

    Ramadaan Kariim to all.
  15. At least unlike many, Dalmar is willing to arrest his own uncle for the good of the country.
  16. Cadale, I stand corrected. Hag This HAG that kii baa nala fogaatay. Waxaanse la qabsanay wixii xunba Xaawaa lewh. Laakiin Nimankiinan HAG rag dulqaad badan ayaad tihiin, ilayn waataasoo habeen iyo maalin waynu idin saaran nahay. I have no issue with **** being in charge.
  17. waa tahay, aan ku celiyo Lix gobol ayey rabaan. They want he south west. They control two , Jubba administration controls one . The other three are on the play. If Mdoobe Noone is smart, and got some help , he may add Jubada dhexe soon.
  18. Tillamook, The people of Bay & Bakool have a semi legitimate leadership. President Madoobe Noone's leadership is based in Baidoa with the support of the people. They proclaimed a South West state with Baidoa being the future capital. THat might not be feasible with current climate of Al-shabaab and the new Jubba administration. Unlike the propaganda of the big powers, the Jubba administration is provisional one. The federal government with Ethiopia and Ahmed Madoobe, all agreed the Jubba administration should be only Lower Jubba(KIsmaayo), at the moment. They are not running Middle Jubba or Gedo, yet everyone assumes that it is three states. Gedo is divided between al=shabaab, the Kacaan community and the Kenyan troops. Minister Godax Barre is correct , unless the country is liberated all these states are all paper tigers. On the light of all these, the people of Bay led by President Noone, haven't decided yet to abandon their dream of six states or to join three states with Shabeelaha. Arrin si tuugo ah loo dhamaysan karo ma' ahan. Unless they give their consent , you can't manipulate with Shariif Hassan and decide without them. Furthermore, there are no functioning federal states in Somalia other than Puntland. The rest are Political maneuvering, deception, power grab and domination. The people Bay see all these " gacan ku rimis" and they do not accept. Look at the guy from Johar claiming to be the leader of Shabeelle state. No one in Shabeellaha Hoose gave him a consent, no Guurti were convened to discuss and debate , it is all self coronation. Look at the HAG, They trying to grab Lower Shabelle by force and then proclaim a new state. I suggest liberate the country and build a national army and stop empowering militia , tribes and useless political games to further the divide and create new instability.
  19. THe federal government could say they are for three states, instead of six., but the problem is the misrepresentation and fabrication of an agreement where one party is missing. How can you make this bogus agreement between Shariif Hasan's brother and another cousin. How can you ignore the Legitimate leadership of South WEst. The United Nation envoy must do his home work before he is duped again. He can't ignore the will of the people Bay & Bakool.
  20. USA halaga cabsado. THis Americans always give hundred and ten percent. That is how they play. They may even go all the way. Both teams will play 65 minute and the rest of time will be midfield play , back and forth and a tie.
  21. Libaax, waa " aan lagu qabsan, means Anagaa leh aysan koox kale dhihin, not la Qabsan.
  22. I do not think a dismissed former minister can decide for the South west. If President Nuune doesn't agree , then, it is a sham. Wallee way najiidhsiiyeen. waxay ka dhigeen wax loo dhan yahay. If that is the case, the Guurti who formed the south west must be respected. the wishes of the people must be respected.
  23. Walaaahi you are correct. They do not even know the time. No urgency at all. He should have took a timeout for substitution and bring a defender in and communicate everyone to slow down the game and defend, let the greeks come forward and just wait for a counter attack. what a waste.
  24. The Galgaduud boys will not decide and should not be allowed to have any voice in this. Mostly it is Galmudug guys who have some farms and property. The Galgaduud have only guns and militia. Any way the Shabeelaha State protagonists are The Unaka who have a land (shabeelaha Dhexe) to join with Shabeele not reer Galgaduud. The Watermaal can deal with Unaka who are not looters and may have similar culture.
  25. one more thing, the D&M idea, so far is dominated by the M group. They never spoke about Shabeelaha Hoose or even tried to change anything. They always concentrated on BAY & Bakool. so they will not decide where the region goes. The Water maal who fought and are speaking for the region will decide if they will join the Shabelle thing or the Bay region. If the Watermaal want to join HAG no one can stop them. If the M can't fight for Jubada Dhexe where they have large population, how can they makes fight about Qoryooley or Marka.
