@Alpha Blondy said: you're a suicide attack survivor, yet listen to trance music. you ought to have died in the attacks. That's cold waryaa. I wouldn't wish that on anyone! I understand there's no khat in Atlanta but that is no reason for meanness. You could always come back home where there's plenty :-D

5. @Mooge said: best speech ever niyoow. that is how we Somali people should treat each other. Is this the way people are treated in Puntland? No. I have been working in Xamar with frequent travels to Garowe and Hargeysa. Sxb, the people in xamar are the most open-minded, liberal and civil Somalis I have ever seen in my life. Even though my accent is clearly different, they won't even raise an eyebrow when I speak Somali. They never ask me about my clan and they are generally laid back. I have bashed the HAG folks on this forum many times and blamed them for the crisis in Somalia but they are the best Somalis I have seen. I wish I could say the same for Puntland and the North, where a complete stranger will try to know your clan in the middle of a meeting and completely change his demeanor towards you based on your revelation. They try to look smart by asking, "Where are you from originally?". That's just a way of saying tell me your qabiil man. Once you disclose that, they will either like you and become friendly all of a sudden or they will keep it strictly professional.

7. @Samafal said: Why People seem to want only Kenyans out and not Ethopians, Ugandans, Burumdians and the rest? Kenyans are the weakest of them all and in my opinion the least worry. Somalis can take Kenya on in any day any time. Their soldiers are poorly trained poorly equiped and they not known to be warriors as you would say of for example the Ethopians. Marka sheekadu waa oohinta orgiga ka wayn. Timir lafbaa ku jirta. Some people don't seem to have got over the Jubaland debacle. Hence, Alshabaab is not a priority. Alshabab are more dangerous than Kenya is and as long as we sympathise with them and lose focus these other countries will continuee dominating us. Well said sxb. The Kenyan people are the most civil and tolerant Africans I have ever interacted with. Every Somali who has lived in Tanzania, Zambia, SA or any other African country with a sizable Somali population will attest to this. Another indisputable fact is that Somalis have developed themselves in Kenya both in terms of business and education more than they have any other place on earth, Somalia included. I'm talking about Somalis from Somalia, not Somali-Kenyans. So I really don't understand the "Kenyaatiga waa cadowgeena" talk. Do you know what would have happened to Somalis if Al-shabab stormed a college in Addis Ababa, separated Muslims from Christians and killed 150 Christian students? I don't believe there would have been a single Somali alive in Addis. Same goes for TZ, SA and probably Zambia. I think this is fueled by the Jubbaland politics more than anything.
8. @Alpha Blondy said: ninyahow, you survived a terror attack. that's awesome. Indeed sxb. Ninkii na qarxiyay reer borame ayuu ahaa oo Germany ka yimid. @xabad said: Edited Lol sxb dadku sidan ma ahayn waligood. Aaway dadkii gabyi jiray ee fahmada badnaa ee geesinimada lagu yaqiinay? It has nothing to do with genetics.
9. I survived that Jazeera palace hotel attack on July 26th last year. Got out without a scratch, alxamdulillah. We were lucky it was only that one suicide bomber and there were no more terrorists to storm in like they always do. Ninyohow this Al-shabaab thing really makes you lose faith in Somalis. You won't believe the number of Somalis that actually support those bastards. Waxaan aqrinayay comment uu ka bixiyay nin Facebook isticmaala xasuuqii Liido. Wuxuu soo qoray, "Waan ku faraxsanahay iney mujaahidiinta munkarka ka suuliyaan Liido." Bal waxaas ka waran. The other day there was overwhelming support for them when they attacked Ceel Cadde. Somalis are sick ninyohow. Wallahi wax baa ka si ah dadkan.

11. Did someone hack Xabad's account?
12. The people of Somaliland have been fed anti-south rhetoric and it has gotten out of control. Even visiting Mogadishu is a crime now. They despise/hate/suspect the rest of the Somalis. I was in Mogadishu for 8 months until August this year with only short one week breaks and no single time was I asked my clan or treated differently. People there are generally relaxed about it and they appear more civilized. The attitude of Somalilanders towards the rest of the Somalis in general and Southerners in particular is very dangerous and the sooner something is done about it the better. This incident only reflects that. Its not a government issue. Its a much bigger issue that needs to be addressed.
13. @Dhagax-Tuur said: MMA, no. Just a thought. Thought occurred to me watching the tragedy at the Grand Mosque. I think it would probably be pleasing in the eyes of Allah people helping people, And that i think is the ultimate form of cibaado/worship, right? MMA, i don't think the price is far lower in Africa and Asia. It's about priorities, today muslims are suffering everywhere, people are dying, i think Hajj can wait. Helping people is a great form of worship but you have to understand that Hajj is an obligatory worship, just like salad and saum. It is a big sin to ignore hajj if one can afford it. I think in Somalia it is around 3000-3,500 per person. I'm assuming its a lot more expensive for people from West Africa etc
14. Two extremists. The terrorist-wannabe is the worse one though. Coward keyboard warrior threatening people over the internet.
15. @BusDriver said: Why insult me bro! What's this langab talk? I'm ciidagale bro ! You are still technically a a Laangaab.
16. We don't have the concept of "last name" in our culture. Somalis do the abtirsi which goes on and on and on... :-D but as a rule in Somali culture, when somebody asks for your "Full names", Magacaagoo buuxa/dhameystiran you are supposed to give exactly 3 names. Yours, your father's and your grandfather's. So normally a "last name" will be the grandfather's name, your kid's last name is therefore your father's name. You don't need to "give" the kid his second, or third names. Those are already there. Just worry about what name to give it..
17. @nairobian said: This is the problem! You guys live in a parallel universe of bs! Up is down and you somehow see the simplest things inside out. What's obvious to blind men is a mystery to Abdi. You guys came here! WE ARE NOT IN ZOOMALIA! I suspect that reality is what you hate and therefore avoid with false narratives about Islii, the E and C African Hongkong, which fyi,is just a slum. Tell me;why can't you use your superior biz acumen and organizational ability for your betterment back home? Not Minniehopeless/Wood Green/Toronto/Holland or Sweden but back in the sacred soil of Zoomalia? Ujinga wako umekiuka mpaka wewe! Unajiita nairobian ilhali unmetoka wajir ama Ijara. Sehemu ambazo maisha ya kawaida yameshindika. Kuna nini ulipotoka wewe? Rudi ulipotoka kwanza halafu uje kubishana nasi mpumbavu we!
18. Utter tripe! Somali-Kenyans have been treated worse than Uighurs since Kenya gained independence. I can't even exhaust in this reply their plight and suffering. And KDF? They are a bunch of incompetent, coward and corrupt career soldiers who can't even fight.
19. Each of these men left a completely different and distinct legacy. What do we have there? A military dictator (There were many others in Africa in the 70s and 80s), A transitional president (We had few of them in Somalia alone) then a bloodthirsty, genocidal general-turned warlord.

Good for the small family that owns this town :-D
21. Mogadishu is a de facto HAG city. Anyone who has been to this city in recent times knows this. Making Banadir a federal state will only make this reality official. Somalis should think of moving the capital...
22. No its not wrong to ask your husband for help. In fact you don't even need to ask, he should be there to help you. In case he doesn't realize his duties, please remind him in a polite way. Shouting at the husband, calling him names etc is not "asking" for help. I am 100% sure if you approach him with courtesy then sit down and reason with him well he is going to respond in a positive way and do what you want him to do. Marriage is simple and good unless somebody wants to complicate things.
