  2. Fond memories. I haven't used it in years though.
  3. One of thre greatest Somali patriots ever, in my opinion. He inherited one of the most homogenous nations and turned it into the most divided. Along clan lines. Made his own clan little gods that other Somalis had to worship. He was a true patriot though. Lol :-D
  4. Wahhabis are obsessed with shirk. Sad news wallahi, maybe UNESCO should've declared some of these places heritage sites?

    Nice one :)

SOCIALISM You have 2 cows. You give one to your neighbour COMMUNISM You have 2 cows. The State takes both and gives you some milk FASCISM You have 2 cows. The State takes both and sells you some milk NAZISM You have 2 cows. The State takes both and shoots you BUREAUCRATISM You have 2 cows. The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then throws the milk away TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull. Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows. You sell them and retire on the income ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND (VENTURE) CAPITALISM You have two cows. You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows. The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company. The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more. You sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States , leaving you with nine cows. No balance sheet provided with the release. The public then buys your bull. SURREALISM You have two giraffes. The government requires you to take harmonica lessons. AN AMERICAN CORPORATION You have two cows. You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows. Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has dropped dead. A GREEK CORPORATION You have two cows. You borrow lots of euros to build barns, milking sheds, hay stores, feed sheds, dairies, cold stores, abattoir, cheese unit and packing sheds. You still only have two cows. A FRENCH CORPORATION You have two cows. You go on strike, organise a riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows. A JAPANESE CORPORATION You have two cows. You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk. You then create a clever cow cartoon image called a Cowkimona and market it worldwide. AN ITALIAN CORPORATION You have two cows, but you don't know where they are. You decide to have lunch. A SWISS CORPORATION You have 5000 cows. None of them belong to you. You charge the owners for storing them. A CHINESE CORPORATION You have two cows. You have 300 people milking them. You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine productivity. You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation. AN INDIAN CORPORATION You have two cows. You worship them. A BRITISH CORPORATION You have two cows. Both are mad. AN IRAQI CORPORATION Everyone thinks you have lots of cows. You tell them that you have none. No-one believes you, so they bomb the ** out of you and invade your country. You still have no cows, but at least you are now a Democracy. AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION You have two cows. Business seems pretty good. You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate. A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION You have two cows. The one on the left looks very attractive
  7. Hope the security council has taken note of this, i.e, if it's true. This president is getting worse by the day.
  8. The link won't open. Am using my cellphone, could you please post the whole story?
  9. The problem is most of the properties abandoned in Mogadishu have been sold and re-sold several times in the past two decades. Some of the beneficiaries are already living in Northern Europe and other parts of the western world and some have created businesses from the illegal sales. Even if we go back to claim them, current ''owners'' did buy these properties. Such a mess.

Isagoo raacinaya the swaying of her hips ayuu dhaafin waayay oo uu ku celceliyay 'Falaq, falaq, falaq, falaq. Naagtii baa yaabtay oo sheekhii dib usoo eegtay, illeen naagtu wey il la'dahay. 11. Alpha Blondy;926379 wrote: Somalee, inaar we know there are problems but WHAT are you proposing? are you just another commentator hurling insults from afar? inaar, what's your deal hadaba? No, but I found out there are thousands of dollars being contributed by some Somalis in the west and other parts of the world to help the Kismayo cause and the recapture. We have an incompetent government, no arms embargo, and what's happening in Kismayo and things don't look pretty. I'm urging those in the qurbaha to no get involved in this, that's all.

  13. Odey;926359 wrote: Somaale asked you all to put aside your clannish attitudes and refuse to go back to the madness of the past and your answers are disappointing. Brother Somaale, I am with you and second your opinion!, finally a sane somali! mashaAllah Thanks bro , some of the replies are quite disheartening. These are supposed to be the young and educated some of whom have never set foot in Somali soil. What do you think about the rest who are still in the country? Do the maths and things looks pretty grim

Atheism and clanism are a deadly combination. rudy-Diiriye;926285 wrote: Dont fret...I never supported any clan in my life! When they call me ....i give them the Bird!! lol. Anyway...If u got thru somaliweeyen blood (which i think u do) let us help our pple getting mascred there from these other clan mainly from Ethiopia ........WHO BY THE way IS IS SPONSORED BY THE ETHIOPIAN GOVT!! Imagine how many innocent somalis that we have lost trying to free them from Amxaahro and they do that to us today!! Thats not freaking kooooooooool!! Time for some really deserved revenge!!! Let us support our brother and sister in the Jubas N kick the Jajuus azz for real!! Unbelievable! first of all, you have to understand that there are members of the clan that you are insulting that are original inhabitants of the area, Afmadow, and from Kismayo to the border of Kenya and Somalia. They may not be a majority in the city of Kismayo but logically speaking, they have a better claim compared to people who have no history there, save for a warlord who ravaged the city for a decade and literally 'gave' to his people. Even if we say, for the sake of argument, that the OGs are all foreign elements there (which is far from the truth) what does that make the 'other' group? They also invade the city from a distant and far away land. A fight between 2 foreign groups, and only the smaller clans who are the rightful owners get caught up in it. Is that what you want?
  15. You would think exposure to other cultures, the west, education and being a witness or a victim to the horrors of a civil war that our country hasn't yet healed from would change the minds of Somalis but that's obviously and unfortunately not the case. The recent happenings in Kismayo and jubooyinka politics has revealed a dark side of us. Subxanallah. What are we going to achieve if there's an all-out civil war? Our country goes back to square one again, where we were in the start of the 90s. I call upon you all, to please desist from getting involved in this. I'm assuming most of us have university degrees and or stable jobs, and I can easily see a member sending money to clan X or Y in the liberation or capture of Kismayo depending on which side you are on. Aren't you all tired of being second class citizens in foreign countries? The recent lifting of the arms embargo and the current events in Kismayo are a perfect recipe for another civil war, which I believe is gonna be bloodier and deadlier. If there's going to be such a war, Somalis in the diaspora will have much say in it's magnitude and so on. We can all prevent this from happening, or at least reduce the size (in the event of a breakout) if we refrain from any support, especially a financial one. Cheers

You know what happened in the 90s were a series of miscalculations and a coup that was hijacked from Mogadishu. There weren't 2 clear parties fighting in the start of the civil war. If a new civil war was to be fought over Kismayo (and that is what you are calling for) it's gonna be a really bloody one. And markaa kadib bey Somali qumaati isku baran, ma is tidhi?
