I think it is really important to close all the mosques to all the congregational prayers including the Friday prayer. The Friday prayer can be conducted outdoors whilst putting significant distance between individual worshippers and thoroughly managing crowd movements. He probably got a serious warning and instructions from the WHO. Anyway, a competent leader would have sorted our most of the problems Somaliland faces today in dealing with Covid-19 such as crowded markets and basic hygiene. I haven't got the slightest faith in any Somali leader of any region to do what is important for the people, so it is up to us to spread the message to people back home about the basics of this virus. Those of you who have access to the Somali media outlets, especially TV & radio stations should do their best to get the message across using those platforms. Also those of you who have large number of Somali followers or "friends" on the social media networks should do the same. Use the Somali language and terminology as much as possible.
