  1. My parents always have guests we are dad waji furan minkena minkado waye so don't get this idea from me that I'm uptight and hate guests lol. Lakeen my parents have guests all the time (literally), whether it's close friends or just somali's in our community. I'm a shy person by nature, and I don't know how to talk to more than one person at a time, I get quiet and feel awkward. lol I usually just listen and smile and try to think of ways to get out. Funny thing is I'm just as shy of women as I am of men. Last week this family from a neighboring country moved back here and they had some housing issues my mom said wa dad somali ah, they all stayed in our place and we had to leave our beds for them and sleep on mattress on the floor. I know this is how my mom is she says things that MMA mentioned somaliya qofwalbo so daweyn jirnay, dadka lama dibsado and all that. So I'm use to it by now but I have to learn to be a little more open to guests so they don't think I'm not welcoming them properly. Aaliyah you mentioned how you have to bring the tea mashaALlah, well I make the tea for my mom sometimes but she carries it in or my sisters. Unless I really have to or else I make excuses. Blue you got my point, we got a lot in common.=)
  2. These songs I'm going to post are songs that mean to me a lot because it was played in my siblings wedding and I heard them in my childhood and whenever we watch my sisters/brothers wedding these tunes I'm reminded of, timeless. Kor eddoy (guaranteed you will dance) http://www.heesta.com/daar_hees.php?id=44 This is my most favorite Somali song, Our national anthem. If anyone knows the original one can you hook me up, the oldest version? Thanks.

    Texting

It depends who's sending me the text? If it's someone I care about, I will read it. I usually text during school hours and make phone calls during my breaks or after School. There are times when it's more convenient to text, and making phone calls is awkward, like times when you lack personal space and privacy.
