  1. "Stick to your traditions and preserve your honour and dignity by going to Somali parties (hoyo would most likely approve). Besides, instead of wasting your money in Club Rumba, All Nations (is that still open, old Londoners?) or Moonlight, why not give it to Xassan Adan Samatar, Khadra Dhahir or Saado Cali? You know it makes sense." Ngonge, Have you ever been to Any somali Parties? Eid Parties i mean such as Samatar, Saado, Juba, etc..? I wonder how she would be perserving her honour and Dignity by ging to Somali Parties, which are more or less the same as any rave in Ministry of Sound or Bar Rumba but with exorbitant prices! It is indeed sad to see people fast away for an entire month and spoil all their Ajar on the last day!

  7. A Great Read Indeed. I read Kiyosaki’s book only about 6 months ago when i got it during a seminar. I love his thinking methods and the way he invented those Four Quadrants and how they inter-relate. It would be really beneficial for anyone interested in Economics and business, but it ain't my thing! Rich Dad, poor Dad also has many Series.

Frankincense and Myrrh was of particular importance to them at the time. The Arab settlers also called Somalia "Bilad as Sudan i.e "the Land of the Blacks. Coon = Isn't that used to describe a "Short" person in Somali language, rather than old. It could also be used for a young person but with some intellect. I could be wrong!
  11. You shall soon be called called Somali-British instead of Black African. Ya hear me Skinny's?

  13. -------------------------------------------- "and this is a direct result of the Muslim modernist camps attempts to resocialize the new generation with gesellschaft like theories, as if liberal propaganda TV was not enough?" --------------------------------------------- ...I believe this is not an attempt to resocialize the generation but rather a lack of understanding of the Shari'ah and a pitiful reasoning. ----------------------------------------- "Imagine the hardships the black people in uk had/have to go through for over centuries! Yet they couldn't take off their skin colours for all they wished." ------------------------------------------ ...Mudantii Haweenka, Had these Negros had the resources, competence and capability to transform themselves and alter their skin colour, thousands would have done it without question. -------------------------------------------- "Sometimes, he's described as very moderate." -------------------------------------------- ...It's the Media that have coined up this new Terminology. Anyone Muslim that accepts and adheres to British way of thinking and their philosophy while working towards creating a relationship with them and abiding by their guiding principles is considred a "Moderate" Muslim. While on the other hand if a Muslims sticks to the traditional Sunnah of the Holy prophet and the teachings of the Qur'an, speaks out against the illegitimate occupations of Muslims lands and the killing of innocent civilians throughout Muslim lands; abides by the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and Ahadith, is labeled as an "Extremist" or even sometimes labelled a Traditionalist by other muslims. He would, under the new legislations be Deported. -------------------------------------------- "I happen to think the vast majority of British people appreciate and understand the meaning of the Hijab as a symbol of modesty and nothing more. Its not a political symbol like its being equated to." -------------------------------------------- ...7 of Nine, how can the British public understand the true significane of the hijab and its value in islam if most of the Muslims themselves do not? They see it, as Shehrezade mentioned, a symbol of repression. Most Muslim women do not even know the significane of the Hijab itself. They wear it becaue their mothers or Grandmothers were seen wearing it. Wa-Salaam!
  14. Salaam! The Muslim population in Great Britain is today sorrounded by cloud of confusion and misunderstanding. Bewildered youth, petrified mothers, disparity and divergence between Imaams and scholars. This may be all because of the actions of a few, actions which most consider to be unjustified, but issues are cropping up. The latest being that of Imaam Badawi coming up with teaching that are incongruous and unlike the teaching of Islam - The Qur'an and Sunnah. Zaki Badawi, An Egyptian scholar, is often described as a "Moderate Islamic Cleric" in the newspapers. he (May Allah guide him and us to the righteous path) issued a fatwa recently "advicing" the muslim sisters to remove the Hijabs ordainded by Allah because of the perilous predicaments they are currently facing as a result of the London Bombs. Allah knows best, but what i was taught is entirely different to what this scholar is preaching. I was taught that Hijab is Wajib and under no circumstances can a woman remove or neglect it except for one: If her life is in immidiate danger and it is life-threatening. Then she has the option to do what the Kafirs want while her "Imaan" still remains intact since all actions are based on intentions. But that is certainly not the case here in London. A very few individuals' suffer harrasment, defamation or verbal abuse but no one's life is in critical danger for an Imaam to be issuing a fatwa and negating some of the teachings of islam or that which has been preordained by Allah. I was also taught that during the time of the holy Prophet, a Sahaba (Caamir - can't remember his full name) was severely tormented by the Non Believers. His parents were killed and he was angst-ridden by all the physical pain and punishments he was subjected to, that he finally uttered the Kalimat-ul-Kufr. He denounced Islam and the holy Prophet and the non-believers left him in peace. The Sahaba came to the holy Prophet and related his ill-fate to him. The holy Prophet said : "يا عامر اضربوك؟" "Oh Camir! Did they beat you?" And advised him to "do the same again, if they did the same thing to you" -i.e denounce Islam if they torment you again. Now, I am not sure if Imaam Zaki Badawi has used this hadith as grounds for his statements, but he is wrong to tell the sisters to Reveal their Awrah. Allah has ordained us to enjoin the ma'ruf (good) and forbid the Munkar (evil) not vice versa. So, is that what imaam Badawi is doing - enjoining Ma'ruf and forbidding Munkar - or is he misleading the entire Ummah? Allahu Aclam

Some people try to compensate their lack of quality or clear thoughts and opinions with quantitative paragraphs. Hadaad, Only if most writers express their essential points in the clearest, simplest, most direct language, eliminating all the decorative frills - everything that is not vital; using short, straight-forward sentences and arranging the ideas in proper sequences, so that thought advances step by step, each leading to the next -from starting point to conclusion, then their messages would be alot more meaningful and ambiguous messages clarified!

  25. Today, most Muslims are indecisive, divided on the issue of the London Bombings. While most Muslims do express some sort of understanding for the bomber’s actions and motive for carrying out such deeds, they are still uncertain whether the bombers’ actions were justified or not. Were they or were they not? Al Ghurabaa, a Muslim Group based in Britain is published in a newspaper to have said “Any Muslims that denies that terror is part of Islam is a Kafir†Many other Muslims claim that Islam prohibits one from showing any sympathy to the victims of Islamic terrorism. While Abu Basir al-tartusi, a Syrian scholar published a Fatwa condemning the killings of innocent civilians and describing it as a “Disgraceful and shameful act, with no manhood, bravery or morality†“We cannot approve it nor accept it and it is denied Islamically and politically†He added Just as after 9/11, Muslims must now get used to some blurry policing and more insidiously the deadly looks of suspicion. I believe the lack of unity in the Islamic community in Britain and throughout is the lack of comprehensive understanding and grasp of the Islamic Shari’ah and its teachings. And for some, such as the ones proclaiming that terrorism is a part of Islam, absolute lack of knowledge. Since when did Islam give one the right to kill another Muslim? Or an innocent human being?
