  1. Memories from last summer dude. I miss the sweet saytuun that you found dancing on so many trees... The warm rolls of bread delivered every morning by this little weird boy who just stared.... My lil nieces and cousins lookS of horror everytime I put in/took out my contact lenses....LOL The hustle and bustle of the laami and everything that was sold there! Insha'Allah I'll be back. Thanks for the pics all!
  2. ^How do you find out about this stuff brotherman?!Yaab... Anyways did someone say BADHI?Lol I love the way Somalis say Party.... Back to the topic.I havent heard of many Somalis that have met their other half at xaflads or the like.Usually a recommendation ect....
  3. Me like Ok the good; You find Mr right. He comes to your home and asks parents for your hand.....
  4. Walaalo where's the dilemma? It already seems like you've made up your mind.Dont try and change what you know sistergirl.Hold onto your dirac, take the heels off and run with your instinct....RUN!
  5. Sacdiya,Walaal Ms Heblayo is not reluctant to commit at all now after a bit of research and much deliberating thought she is cool.Problem is Mr Hebel who talked and talked and talked when heblayo was kinda reluctant but when she is sure he kinda went quiet.... Ameenah Lol@divert list U sound like my girl cousins.I dont believe in jaceyl before marriage and even when you are married you need to show the commitment and and cross those amazing hurdles to be worthy of each others love. Some may not agree with me but this is what I believe and it works best as it tests you and you keep focused on whats important(hubby halaal n all) not feel like a emotional wreck everytime your 'boyfriend' doesnt' call Lol. Any self respecting girl will step back a little whilst she makes the most important decision of her life.U need to take into consideration accumalated zinah that you are avoiding by doing marrying as soon as you possible.Marriage is not a joke but the least a man can do is be honest and deliver the goods when he said he would...feel me.
  6. Haye haye threakeygu wuu isku buuqey sow ma'aha?Lol Sheh-His magac is Abdi lugo fargeeto...Lol Valenteenah-Girly it's sad though isn't it?Lakiin it's cool everything is sorted now alxamdulilah I have found inner peace and we've resolved whatever was and in this case wasn't 'gwannin'(Im old I need to throw in the odd slang word in to feel young again Lol) Cambaro-Marka hore Masha'Allah mabruuk on your marriage(However long ago it was)Insha'Allah khayr, will iyo full fat caano and all that good stuff ...Amiin.Tida kale are you as surprised by how disappointed some of these Farax's outlooks are as me? FELLAS-Do you all believe that women want a huge empty(ajar wise)wedding?Times are changing and whilst the shallow/extravagant gashantis are becoming even more so the settled/simplistic ones are becoming more so in theres too(content with less is more.Dont be so pessimistic guys you dont need to take out a loan from the world bank to marry a girl....and if this is what she suggests then tell her to STEP!What kind of example will she be to your impressionable daughters? Less is more and the rest will follow! Btw people thanks for your help....(!)

    Ok.....

U know when hebel always told a reluctant heblayo he wants to marry her but it seems like Mr Confident is not so confident anymore when he notices Miss reluctant is not so reluctant and is actually feeling the same way&is thinking of making sacrifices/arrangements so that they can tie the knot?!....Goodness forbid.... Wusses, the lot of 'em....... P.s SORAAY for striking up a cheesy post in Ramadhan but sisters feel free to vent without mentioning names, swear words ect...Lol

  14. Is it only me mise there's a increase in getting a blank stare when you salaam a Somali?!I mean even non skinnies always say it back .I'm gonna be real ,it's always hablaha that I've experienced it with.On one hand I met those truly beautiful muslim sisters(Masha'Allah) who salaam me or I salaam them and we embark on a little excited banter about where they bought their shoes from .Lakiin it's like sometimes markaan salaamo hablaha soomaaliyeed qarkood who are with their 'cool' friends it's like I'm talking a foreign language or some. They either roll their eyes and turn their heads and resume their conversations with their buddies or act like I'm totally transparent and about to vanish into thin air.... When has Asalamu caleykum become embarassing?!!! Im sorry to bring such a negative tinge but htis is really starting to get to me... Walle tis is a sad day......
  15. Looool and poor me has a homosexual named Jorge as a hairdresser....
  16. Lol@ Fattening programme.Nah I like the fact that I can carry him.If our arguments turn ugly then I know I'm gonna tear his ar$e up  Hey I hope you and your fams have a blessed Ramadhan sis ,Insha'Allah khayr
  17. I agree with TRUTH' up there ^ Walaalo for five years ama you guys should already know whether or not you want to marry each other(Personally 5 years is more then most since 5 years worth of accumalated zina is a nasty thing to enter one's marriage into) or if you guys are not meant to be.Has he always spoken about his future and ALWAYS included you?If yes then I guess you should demand what the dealio is (maybe his family have voiced their opinion over the relationship ect ect)There could be a million reasons why he is ignoing lakiin he should be man enough to tell you damn it so you can get closure and move on.You are entitled to that much sistergirl. Sida kale his actions speak for themselves. If he respected you as much as you assumed would he be ignoring and belittling you like this?
  18. HEY! He happens to like my unironed shiidh/baati and the suugo stains come in handy when we hungry in bed! Lol Dhageysta it's a 2 way thing here.I mean brothers need a beautifully sound environment to come home to when they return from a 'hard' day's work ,lakiin go shower that sweaty ar$e before you expect anything in return.
  19. Heeeeey Ahura.... Girl I missed U man.Bakoorad?I wish...My man makes the bakoorad look obese....Looool No on the real tho I aint hitched...Yet lakiin time will tell Insha'Allah. What about you?Haye maxaad heysa? U still married to that glamour mag of yours?I actually bought last months and remembered you wallahi.I already read Esssence's issue for last month and had a 2 hour journey to get home from a deserted train station so I bought it.That E.Lily interview was a letdown wasn't it?The issue was altogether walle.Too much repetition ,particularly in the fashion pages.Lakiin I rubbed that Vera Wang sample all over me like a rash Looooooool.I know I'm a savage
  20. Where has time gone?Seriously it's Ramadhan in a couple weeks alxamdulilah and it feels like....well like it was only yesterday not last year ma'aha?I know Ramadhan shifts every year lakiin I'm mad at myself for not fulfilling promises I made to myself last year. Anyways I need to stick to promises I made and this blessed month will be a great motivator this year Insha'Allah. IT'S NOW OR NEVER!!!!!!! Anyone feel me?Something or someone niggling at you and you know you have to get 'stuff' done? And no cleaning out that cabinet under the sink doesnt constitute... *Waves hi to everyone*Now identify all these diff screenames I'm confused you've all changed into diff nigisyaal since I was last here.Lol
  21. Lol @ Modesty... The derbi istaag crew seem to be disappearing in numbers though.More and more are either donning suits and have grown up or are back home on the 'dhaqaan celis' card I guess. Either way back in the days(Yes I am old) things were mental to the point were poor mini cabs were hijacked and all guns ablazing.Life was awkward as a teen man..... As someone said earlier something about invitations and bouncers help.I dont get how you can try and slide into a aroos when a big butch man has refused U entry.I would die with shame but then again I wouldn't go to a aroos where the bride and bridegroom or their family never acknowledged me enough to give me a invite.
  22. *Thinks to self* He still rolls me over and whacks me lovingly with his with the bakoorad when he wants to get freakly leekly.... Romance gone? Hell naa...Lol
