Masha Allah, Alxamdulillah for He is the One Who has shown them(and me) the truth. LOL I thought I had it tough becoming a Muslim in southern Alberta, but they're right in the middle of American Redneck Central. Their everyday lives are a true struggle. For some reason, kafirs always try to bother converts more than people born into Islam, I'm guessing that maybe they figure it's easier to bring someone back to what they used to be, rather than someone who knows no life other than Islam. It really makes no sense, considering most reverts are quite stronger in Iman than their born-Muslim counterparts. I'm glad I didn't have so many happy people dancing around me and saying "masha Allah" over and over again when I took my shahada, like that poor black lady. That just brings un-needed attention and makes you really embarrassed, and to tell the truth, it's annoying. I didn't say it's "OK", I said it's "dangerous". I suggest you read what you quote. There's nothing sacred about a man having sex with 50+ women under the pretext of marriage. A marriage is only valid when two people enter into it willingly, and treat it like a marriage and not a carousel, jumping off this ride, hopping on that one. If you don't have any problem with this man's actions, then that's a reflection on your morality. You may have said it's dangerous, but you also said it's "natural", which implies it's OK. I have said in this thread already that I disagree with him marrying this many women, as a temporary marriage is haram. That's not the point I'm trying to make. The point I'm trying to make is that if the guy is 50 years older than his wife, it doesn't matter because she is old enough to make her own decision in marrying him. So if a 13 year old girl is forced into a travesty of a marriage, you feel it's none of your concern? It's all going to be sorted out in an afterlife? Again, a reflection on your morality. Just a question.....Do you know this girl personally, or this old guy, for that matter? All we know is that he's married 58 times, and is currently married to a 13 year old girl. Not to sound like a cynic, but I wonder what kind of social status this man has in Saudi Arabia. He's obviously not connected to any royal family members, or we probably wouldn't be hearing about this. As for Jimca's reply that death is too easy of a sentence, don't forget that the punishment only begins after death. This man will be served his justice by the One who is truly just.

We don't need an interview with his wives to know they obviously approve of his ways, or else they wouldn't have married him in the first place. Obviously, the first or 2nd wife didn't know about this, but by the time he got to his 10th wife, I'm sure these women knew what the deal was, and the next 48 women didn't care, we can tell, because they agreed to marry him! Whether for money(probably) or whatever reason, they didn't object to his track record. I'm not condoning what he's doing because I disagree with this, as temporary marriages are not halal, but i'm just agreeing with lexus that the wives don't mind, so why are we making a big deal out of it? And yes, 13 years old is mature enough in most cases. We don't need to start acting like kafirs with their thoughts that women shouldn't get married until they're 30.
