How do you say 'guilt' in Somali?

I feel guilty I didn't go to the gym today (this year, decade....)

A translation of it will sound something like, 'waan ka xumahay inan ka baaqdo "Chymka" :D

just say the word wid a somali accent; and there you have a new word added to the list of growing words made up by ppl like me :D which will one day become known as accepted somali lingo

P.S. I bet you Qiiro came from Ghiira (Arabic for jealousy). Anyone know?

I thought qiiro has to do with emotion & excitement, not guilt. Both guilt and qiiro relate to a mental state of feeling but qiiro has to do with happiness not sadness.

 

I think the closes meaning of guilt would be Gef, Eed, & Khalad. Somalis are not FEELING PEOPLE so those words are absent from our gene & language.

 

English word for Bal Adba. You asked someone something and they responded with Bal Adba?
