  1. Don't you guys think we are going too far with this s.o.l happy birthdays. From now on everybody should keep his/her birthday to his/herself.Ofcourse you can throw ahouse party at u'r place provided its strictly a private party. Anyway wish Bob ahappy birthday, damn saying those words makes me sound like marilyn Monroe singing for JF keneddy,,,,i can't even remember how the hell they used to spell his name, anyway u know who am talking about......that dude who used to be president way back.

    My Kinda Art

Too many clashing colors, kinda looks like rasta fari flag. And the way the pimp is presented is totally different than how the real pimp looks like. What they are showing us is the portrait of Snoop's nephew Uncle, the stup1d azz guy with the flashy ugly green suit, usually seen with snoop at hiphop awards. Real pimps do dirty jobs that rarely pays for their meal and in most cases can't afford anything more than a blue jeans and adirty t-shirt.,and with alook in their face that says pimpin' ain't easy.
  4. Where are the masters of af somali.Brother here needs some help.My boss and my co-workers are interested in learning af-somali, and to begin with they want me to translate afew somali words into English. The results will be printed in our departments weekly newsletter.Last month was Spanish and this month its somali langauge in addition to afew paragraphs highlighting somalia in general or Somali101. Can you guys please help us in translating this words in the correct form.Ofcourse,me and this somali sister i work with have done most of the translating but we have no idea we have no idea if we are on the right path.Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. The following are the words, we urgently need to know the correct meanning and the correct pronounciation(please write the pronounciation in af-somali if u think u can ) Hello..........We ain't talking about the telephone hello here.......... but more like hello as in hello children. How are you? I am fine. Have a nice day. Good bye. Please. Thank you. Ps.........If possible please Describe somalia to a foreigner in short but postive way.Assume, the foreigner or the nonsomali is u'r co-worker interesting in learning more about Somalia.

Not exactly,America is concerned about the economic consequences of Kyoto protocol than what u just said.I think you're confusing bush with Exxon Mobil who hired enviromental Scientist to disapprove the global warming theory. Saxib don't be so exicited about the whole enviroment this and enviroment that theories. The rules they are advocating for will definately cost us jobs and in the long run make most American companies less competitive in the market and that is bad news for the Xalimo working in the assembly line. The Chinese are the second biggest source of pullution after US and yet there is not enough pressure on them to tackle this problem. I don't think Americans are ready to lose their jobs over acrap like the enviroment.Who needs the enviroment when you ain't got no job and still have bills to pay.

  7. I can see there is alot of i think theories going around here. The war on Iraq is Bush and Blair's war,its was unjust war and a wrong one just as the bombing of LOndon and 911 Nyc are wrong and unjust. In both Iraq and London there are innocent victims and "in the mind of a terrorist there are no innocent bystanders" In this world there are two types of terrorists, those who represent the state and those who are loosely co-ordinated,usually afew members. They both have something in common, they don't believe in the notion that there are innocent victims (civillian) of their actions.
  8. So what the f^^k is this supposed to mean, some of you need someone to ram an 18wheeler into u'r rear end.
  9. I'm glad most of the members from london are fine up until now, and hopefully everyone will be o.k. Trust me,the backlash will have most of you thinking u never left Somalia.Fingers will be pointed at the muslim communities, wiretaps, video survelliance, the racist on tv with a hidden agenda will have a field day and worst of all hijabified sisters will mostly likely be harrassed on daily basis. The muslim community in UK should condemn this horrible acts and at the same time make sure they speak against all hate crimes directed at the community.
  10. I didn't click on the link,i'm already sick of fox and the american idol wackos.
  11. I didn't see any movie but the soccer thing...... somali allstars vs mn thunder sucked.Soccer as usual was boring so i left early afew minutes before half time.Sitting at home and watching dvd movie with a sister is way better than the whole soccer sh!t

I didn't know the Olympics was that exciting.I guess folks in London have reasons to be optimistic about the future. As for live8,I think JAY Z and LINKIN PARK rocked the house. It was good to see them talking about africa on primetime,i hope it leds to something good.
  13. I guess the only alternative u guys have is build afew houses in Africa, somalia or kenya to be exact. It will cost you about $50000 to build a five bedroom house in Nairobi in a nice neighbourhood. You will buy the house from a real estate developer who is a somali. He will ask for about 20% in advance and u will pay the rest in however u want,no interest and no other charges. You can live in the house or rent it for about $500.In less than five yrs the house is yours plus y can sell it for almost double the price and the best part is u can use that money to buy a halal house in u'r host country........Think outside the box.
  14. Niicima Somerican...ur name I guess says it all What do u mean by all,......all consist of what ?Actually this ain't my name,it's my nickname and it may or may not stand for what it means, but that has nothing to do with u'r interpretion But let me tell you something you cant be both Mali and American you gotta choose. Plus am sorry to say this but what your saying makes no sense at all. Honey i agree with you on this one,i can't a Mali and an American for i have never been to Mali or anywhere with such remote name. However i'am a Somali and an American.I don't have to choose one and i don't necessarily need to be loyal Somalia in order to be a proud somali. Furthermore, where is it written that i should make sense to you and who cares whether i made sense to you or not. At the beginning your saying Who cares about the problem facing our beloved country, next you say that others malis do not care about their motherland and then you finish off saying that Somalis in Somalia need to do something about the futures and the future of our country. And your point is? What YOU should have said...that YOU dont care about Somalia b/c YOUR too busy trying to worry about other problems (such as Palestine and Iraq) like YOU mentioned. I can't remember saying i don't care about Somalia and that i'm busy worried about palestine and Iraq.I do know for sure that i don't care about Iraq and Palestine. As for Somalia,I STILL BELIEVE FOLKS IN SOMALIA SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THEIR BUSINESS.I wish them the best and hopefully they get their acts together. Also you should have added that YOU dont want to do anything about helping our country become the great country that it once was because YOU too busy trying to be something YOUR not. I never tried to be something i'm not and i can't help but wonder where you got this aasumption from. what do u expected me to do for Somalia, roll on the floor and cry till the warlords stop the bloodshed. ANYWAYS plz ppl dont post for all Somalis just say what you feel like saying and do not feel like you have to speak for the others aight specially to Somarican I didn't not speak for other Somalis and "we" part u have issues with was refering to me,myself and i. Remember i didn't start the civil war in Somalia. All i did on this thread was use my POint of personal privillege to express my discomfort with the way things are in Somalia. Anyway, thanks for the lecture, and i must admit it was alittle bit boring and same as usual.
  15. Haddad Thanks for the advice.I think minneapolis city has somehow become a regular at taking a share of my paycheck every month.I can't really stand this city anymore, they really got parking issues here and they are always quick to give you another tickect when u just went into their office to contest the one they give yesterday.
  16. Thanks for the information brother. I just payed $254 on tickects, mostly on minor things like safety belt violation and unreasonable acceleration,i have no idea what the hell the latter means but i don't give a damn i as long it doesn't affect my record.
  17. ^^No, she had someone holding an umbrella for her.
  18. It will be hard for mogadishu to be compete with her southern neighbour, mombasa kenya.Xamar has to come up with something better than Alfajiri village in mombasa.
  19. Hey i have never heard of amuslim women fitness center, but i do go to the local Ywca at lake street, not exactly the kind place u looking for even though some somali sisters are regulars there.. Maybe check the area around lake calhoun,i heard they have women only fitness center

  21. Honestly speaking i'm not going anywhere unless they deport my azz back.I can't lie and dream about going places i have no idea will contribute to my personal growth and development now or in the near future. I like how things are here, and i consider everyday a blessing from Allah period
  22. Zulfa U killed the topic with the whole my nation vs qaat thing.........Frankly speaking some of us do not even recognise the nation you're talking about period

That's exactly how i describe my African folks, they always convince themselves that "someone" is trying to put them down or stealing something from them. As for resources, NO continent is richer than Africa,it's just that folks in Africa do not have the know how to exploit this abundant natural resources, mainly because they are not interested in discovering stuff their own way.
  24. ^^^^ You up there, where the hell is Nova Scotia? Back to the topic.........Why should anyone bail out Africa. If u owe credit card debt,do u ask u'r neighbour or american express to pay u'r debt? Africans should take care of their countries or they should let others run the country for them. This is a dog eat dog world, and unless Africans understand that, nobody can help them.
