  1. They're supposed to drive the same way the rest of the automotive population drives. You try checking your blindspot changing lanes on the highway with two hands on the wheel and let me know how it goes UD..You come and try that here in the UK and Police will stop you and you may be disqualified. When you taking your driving licence , you are required to keep both you hands on the wheel except few occassions like when changing gears etc.
  2. ^^^^ Three years on LMU had its deserving effect on you YAAH Go figure, you make a big brother so proud of you
  3. Here's a word of advice. Never trust anyone who drives with both hands on the steering wheel. How are they suppose to drive then? Gabdhaha ha waalin waraa D&D, lol, So my lift home in one rainy day in london is in jeopardy? I take it back then

  7. I dont know about this comparison of incomes of different cities in somalia but there is some thing i know for sure: We are poorest of the poor ay duwarsato Comic relief iyo hay'ado ajaanib. Comparing Somali incomes while the pictures i get on my screens are not ones to be desired is like adding an insult to the injury. Grow up guys and soon
  8. There is no political reality in Somali simply because it is a place chaos rules. If you study the Somali politics you will find out that there no one part which holds certain ideological thinking that they differ from the others. Apparently people who don’t know what is politcs and how to conduct country’s affairs rule Somalia, the reason they got on the position they are in now borne out from the very chaotic situation the country is in. Sadly the rest of the society who you would think can reverse the situation become followers of the blind. To prove this you don’t need to go far just look the politics forum in this very site, mind you most of the regulars are educated young men!!!!!!!!. Instead of looking for solution beyond warlords and anarchist very people you would have hope on disappoint you prematurely in every aspect of the Somali politics. They base their thought on the interest of their tribe and their given leader. We need to see the bigger picture that benefits us all Somalis. The bigger picture is peaceful, prosperous Somalia no matter who is the man on the top job. The bigger picture is Somalia you can do business everywhere without fearing for your life. The bigger picture is seeing your children growing up and having the basic life they deserve in their own homeland. Do you think the foreign person in the street knows who is from where when he sees a picture of malnutrition, dying Somali child on Television? No he wouldn’t and simply he wouldn’t care what village he/she is from, for him it is same sides of a same coin. That alone should teach us not to point fingers on each other because we feel better than others: we are all somali maryooley, poorest of the poor, loughing stock of the world. When are we gona wake up and smell the coffee?
  9. Bisinka...that is real miracle!!!!!!!
  10. Islam is the only solutuon of every society where that be somalis or others, but few things need to be looked at before evrything else: 1. Do the people have firm knowledge of what it means to live under the Islamic Sharia? are they really educated enough to undestand that this will not be a law imposed on them by man But that the law of the mighty creator? do they undestand the benefits of the Islamic sharia for them? 2. will rulers of the day play the politics as it is in the 21st century and not on the basis of historical tales read by clerks who know little about the life outside the mosque ? Do we have the leader who has all it takes to defend Islam with all the Western propaganda? 3. What goverment system should an Islamic country take? These things and others need to be debated and agreed on, if an Islamic state is to be formed. Any sooner adoptaion of the system from the somalia side will require grassroots and advanced planning and cannot be attained through decisions made on the spur of the moment. Salaams
  11. salaam i was in mogadisho, actually i was in my class getting ready to take my midterm exam,i studied that exam all day,i will make my du'a even though i do not think i will ever see somalia as we knew it. Bulo I was in same situation exactly 13 years ago. I remember being glued to my books preparing myself for Grade 8 Midterm exam. But my family had some other ideas in mind; they were preparing us to flee for our lives from the worsening condition. I could not comprehend why we had to leave our home, but thought we will go back soon anyway. Never we did. Here I am tonight 13 years later, reflecting what the situation would be like for the people of Lascaano, where war looms. If this war ever happens, it will be another tragedy facing Somali people. It seems no lesson has been learnt for thirteen years. I really don’t see the benefit of war for both sides, at the end of the day is the people who will lose whatever the end result might be. Let us pray for peace, May Allah avert us from another catastrophe, Amiin.
  12. Federalism can be seen another problem of furthering tribalism. But question we need to ask ourselves is where are we on tribalism now? No doubt we are on the peak of it that any living creatures can get. Almost everything we do wherever we are, we do it on the basis of tribe. Siyad aimed to eradicate tribalism in his early years in office by the sword and then ended up promoting same ideology he was calling against. I for one came to the believe recently that federalism could be Somalia’s saviour. We are years away if not centuries from Somalia without tribe and the only way people can live side by side again is to live apart in the short run. There so much hatred and distrust that can not be healed in matter of years. United Arab emirate was once tribal kingdoms that fight aginst each other and look today, tribe is no existence, we can do the same.
  13. Hibo sis when i asked you about the reports you have i did not in any way intending to be difficulty, I just wanted a fellow up information to go with the one you provided us. but what do you plan to do once I present you these documents? Are you going to be " reer fadhi ku dirir" or are you going to go back and make a difference and sacrifice your well moulded cozy life? Before this topic of yours I was planning to go back home next summer thinking that I had little to offer, but it is this kind of information that drive me further to go sooner rather than later and do whatever difference I can make. Inshallah I will not be a ‘’Fadhi Ku dirir’’ but some one who does his part to help fellow Somali People who are going through hard times. Thanks. By the way Muraad hasn't said an insult, it is just another Somali vocab similar to that you have in mind.
  14. Mind you 4 of 100 in Galkayo are infected with HIV/AIDS This is shocking and somewhat depressing. Hibo walaaley I respect your statistics but do you have any reports, or written documents to support your statement because if this is the case it means 4% percent of the Galkacyo citizens are infected with killer desease and will die soon. I suspect you will have such docs as you were NGO worker. Ilaahow noo naxariiso oo nagaqabo balaaayo Amiin
  15. no body is doubting the Salaf Manhaj here but the some individuals who associate with it is the problem. Again who ever did this act Muslim or Non muslim there is no religion that i know can justify. It was murderous, evil act that should not be condoned.
  16. Sxb Muraad, this article seems have been written by desperate Fahad and his sympathesizers to sway the attention from their powerless Kingdom. Sxb there are so many differences, so many counter claims from different Islamic groups in the world today and if you fellow them too much you reach a point where it will sicken you. The best way is to stick to that you know which is Islam as your religion and Prophet Mohamed (S.A.W) as your director. Everything else is obstruction, destruction and pointless. Allah knows best
  17. It is really a shocking news.. and whoever did it...there can never be any justification for such bloodshed and destruction in the land of the Prophet (S.A.W). The reality is, Islam is in very awkward situation where there are two camps, one who favours violence and one who favours votes to bring back Islamic Khilafah. I think answer lies somewhere in between. Allah Knows best
  18. Hi all I thoought this is a topic of interest so i wanted to share with guys here is the link http://www.femail.co.uk/pages/standard/article.html?in_article_id=201325&in_page_id=1462
  19. oh.... I can write a book about Southall lol LOL Sxb go ahead i support you all the way, plus I remember you working in that Call Shop . Seriously though, Southall is a fantastic place where Somali businesses prosper but needs something to be done about those bystander who do nothing but gaze around like ''Lax bilaawe argatey'', I dont know why they stand there on day and night, it's just awful.
  20. I would like to join as the idea of Somali youth doing something about their chaotic country is intriguing but to start with i dont like the word ''Democracy'' it is too vague for me. what does mean?
  21. what about if it is the woman who is bit in hurry and calling the man? He gets same sin if he rjects, I presume. But can that hppen? May be in today's generation as in old times it would have been unthinkable by a woman to call her man for sexual satisfaction. what do you think?
  22. First of all nice to see the site is up and running again. New nation, by Wadaads i mean people who have Islamic knowledge (Elm) not not as an entity or group. Also I agree some Wadaads took part the civil war in one way or onother but as a Muslim nation we are not i think scarce of good people who have the leadership our country needs. I am talking about some one who has the quality or near of what Prophet Yusuf (A.S) put himself up for the top post ( he said I am knowledgeable and trustworthy). Muraad, i also agree Wadaads in general i think need to unite themselves and take the people on board not isolating themselves as a different body. ok let me break down the question for you is Islam the solution of our problem? And if yes how can it be put in practice in our country with all these differences? i hope this clear for all.
  23. So much tribalism, so much hatred, so much differences Somalia is burning and does not seem it will stand from the wreckage in the very foreseeable future (at least in my observations). Somalia problem without shadow of a doubt is to do with tribalism and no sane individual can deny that. For a doctor to cure an illness he will have to find the causes first and only then he can do something about it. For me it seems Somalis know the causes but for reasons that I don’t know they trying to cure it with remedies that do not bring solutions. Lately I was thinking of what can bring us together once again and cease the hatred and tribalism that hindered us for decades and left our country in ruins. As we are a Muslim nation I thought Islam is the way and how about if we give a chance the Wadaads they might end the hatred, tribalism etc. At least they will be better than the opportunistic, power hungry so called leaders that front our chaotic political scenes. What do you think nomads? If you don’t see the Wadaads dont stand a chance of bringing any solutions what do you think is the solution for our trouble?
  24. Magnoona sis... I understand where you coming from. what you got is a clash of cultures the middle eastern one which girls are required to be more conservative and dont talk to people outside their immediate family and the Somali culture which is more open and require children to be open to their relatives outside the house. For example when Somali man go to family visit is the children he has in mind. so if the children don't notice that and close their door and don't even say hi ''Adeero'' then that is when the person feels bad. second q is. why do some somalians hate being called (uncle, aunt).. the answer i get is why u callin me uncle im not married to ur mother, or im not old call me brother? This i think is the fact that altough he might be old as your father still down the lineage you are cousins and he wants you to know that and respect it..it is not something to do with age.. most of the somali oldies dont mind being called ''EEDO'' or ''ADEER'' as long as they do not believe that you are clsely related in which case they expect you to call them something else like Walaal. so my advice to you is when a relative comes over home greet them with open face and say '' see tahey'' hope that helps
  25. So you guys had wish you were here time out together?..ah…IC…. Libaax sxb it is my pleasure would love to come in person but it was not convenient for me that day ( Next time Inshallah) Mujahid.. are you gona do something about what I have I read from the ladies or else I speak to your oldman?
