Jeneraal Maxamed Siciid Xirsi Morgan oo Muqdisha soo gaaray
Samafal replied to Libaax-Sankataabte's topic in Politics
I am really amazed at this thread!!!and what it says about us Somalis?!!!! We know Morgan is evil man is allegedly responsible of gnecide and mass murder of fellow somalis but what is the difference between Mogadisho and Jowher which he is staying with fellow warlords? Dont get it!!!!!!! And if my memory serves well I remember him visiting Las-anod, Bosaaso, Baidoa etc in mid 90s ence does make it make if he vistits mogadisho hich has more warlords like him than any other city in Somalia. It would have made sense to me if he's an exile warlord who was returning then the need for this breaking news!!! -
Inaalilaahi wa inaa illahi rajicuun, This is beyond my little brain, all I am saying is awful things happened and the best course of action we need to take is to forgive and forget for the sake of God Almighty while at same time trying our level best to bring justice to those who perpetrated this inhumane, brutal actions that happened in Somalia whoever they're wherever they might be.

Qacqac ragaan ragii ku maahmahi jirey waaye sidatan "Canjeelo sida ay ukala sareeso aa loo cunaa" "Moos hadii la fiiqo maxaa lagu sameyaa? ...waa la cunaa" "Cimrigaaga oo dheeradana geelow dhalaaya waa ku tusaa"

With Islamic personality, a somali queen must be able to know how to make and cook "Odkac" with "Canjeelo", plus be able to milk Mandeeq, the She-camel

May Allah forgive her sins and make easy for her journey to Akhira. My prayer and condolences goes out to Nomad Winger, May Allah grants you patience and strength after her.

Guraad, I think you’re initiating hatred between Somali people and that is not good you know. What happened between Somali people happened because of the ignorance of our people. History should teach us about the trouble of tribalism our society endured in the last decae or so, not other way round. We are not an enemy to each other but our enemy are those people who instigate tribal conflicts to gain personal interest i.e. power Mogadishu was and still is the capital of our failed nation. What we need now is work out away we can live together in this land without being on each other’s throat, life is too short to be in pain all the time you know

Good topic Jamaal, There is no doubt the current state of our affairs is borne out from our hard nomadic life we inherited from our ancestors. I was recently watching a documentary about Botswana's Bushmen where by the government there was forcing them out of the bush they lived in thousand years to integrate them to the main stream Botswana society. The government argument was that these people are missing out on education and the civilization of the 21st century. The Bushmen was furious and called to fight to return their ancestral land. Whatever the motive of their government I applauded the idea because with all the resource available, why they should let pass the opportunities of education, health care etc. Same applies to our people, why do we need to continue same old way we lived for centuries which really do more harm than good. But question that need a consideration is if we embrace agriculture is our land fertile enough for farming. I had the sense that the reason why the people in the south embrace agriculture is because they have a fertile land and the use of the two rivers while the most of the north is infertile, semi-arid land and short of irrigation. But anyway agriculture is not the only options, we can embrace urbanisation with industrialization and quit nomadism, after all there aren’t a lot of us, we’re estimated around 8-10 million people and our cities are not crowded with people. But the bottom line is we’re a poor people and any change would not be dramatic, it will be a slow process and which need encouragment from government in power (which sadly there is no one at the moment).

^^^That would be good but do you know how many would- be- warlords are waiting for the day he calls a day? here are some of them 1. Carys ( he is his righthand man and very ambitious) 2. Saciid dheere (This guy is problably exprienced as A.Y himself, and would probably try his luck post A.Y) 3. Afgaduud ( from soldier to the Police chief in just few months, expect anything from him) 4. Xaabsade ( He has all the ingredients it takes to be a warlord) Warlords die but their legacy dontlook at MR Barre and Aideed, their legacy is still with us.

All the four Madhahabs were MUJTAHIDEEN, meaning they did their best to clarify for Muslims those things they were ignorant about using what ever hadithot Daliil or qiyaas(Measured gues)they had with them. All of them are known to have said that if you see hadiith take the Hadith and leave my words.

You will bet on your money that Morroco will win the Cup outright since they're the best team in there. Tunisians are playing a mind game and they will not intimidate their fellow north africans, the're just too good. Morroco all the way

They're supposed to drive the same way the rest of the automotive population drives. You try checking your blindspot changing lanes on the highway with two hands on the wheel and let me know how it goes UD..You come and try that here in the UK and Police will stop you and you may be disqualified. When you taking your driving licence , you are required to keep both you hands on the wheel except few occassions like when changing gears etc.

^^^^ Three years on LMU had its deserving effect on you YAAH Go figure, you make a big brother so proud of you

Here's a word of advice. Never trust anyone who drives with both hands on the steering wheel. How are they suppose to drive then? Gabdhaha ha waalin waraa D&D, lol, So my lift home in one rainy day in london is in jeopardy? I take it back then

I dont know about this comparison of incomes of different cities in somalia but there is some thing i know for sure: We are poorest of the poor ay duwarsato Comic relief iyo hay'ado ajaanib. Comparing Somali incomes while the pictures i get on my screens are not ones to be desired is like adding an insult to the injury. Grow up guys and soon

There is no political reality in Somali simply because it is a place chaos rules. If you study the Somali politics you will find out that there no one part which holds certain ideological thinking that they differ from the others. Apparently people who don’t know what is politcs and how to conduct country’s affairs rule Somalia, the reason they got on the position they are in now borne out from the very chaotic situation the country is in. Sadly the rest of the society who you would think can reverse the situation become followers of the blind. To prove this you don’t need to go far just look the politics forum in this very site, mind you most of the regulars are educated young men!!!!!!!!. Instead of looking for solution beyond warlords and anarchist very people you would have hope on disappoint you prematurely in every aspect of the Somali politics. They base their thought on the interest of their tribe and their given leader. We need to see the bigger picture that benefits us all Somalis. The bigger picture is peaceful, prosperous Somalia no matter who is the man on the top job. The bigger picture is Somalia you can do business everywhere without fearing for your life. The bigger picture is seeing your children growing up and having the basic life they deserve in their own homeland. Do you think the foreign person in the street knows who is from where when he sees a picture of malnutrition, dying Somali child on Television? No he wouldn’t and simply he wouldn’t care what village he/she is from, for him it is same sides of a same coin. That alone should teach us not to point fingers on each other because we feel better than others: we are all somali maryooley, poorest of the poor, loughing stock of the world. When are we gona wake up and smell the coffee?

Islam is the only solutuon of every society where that be somalis or others, but few things need to be looked at before evrything else: 1. Do the people have firm knowledge of what it means to live under the Islamic Sharia? are they really educated enough to undestand that this will not be a law imposed on them by man But that the law of the mighty creator? do they undestand the benefits of the Islamic sharia for them? 2. will rulers of the day play the politics as it is in the 21st century and not on the basis of historical tales read by clerks who know little about the life outside the mosque ? Do we have the leader who has all it takes to defend Islam with all the Western propaganda? 3. What goverment system should an Islamic country take? These things and others need to be debated and agreed on, if an Islamic state is to be formed. Any sooner adoptaion of the system from the somalia side will require grassroots and advanced planning and cannot be attained through decisions made on the spur of the moment. Salaams

salaam i was in mogadisho, actually i was in my class getting ready to take my midterm exam,i studied that exam all day,i will make my du'a even though i do not think i will ever see somalia as we knew it. Bulo I was in same situation exactly 13 years ago. I remember being glued to my books preparing myself for Grade 8 Midterm exam. But my family had some other ideas in mind; they were preparing us to flee for our lives from the worsening condition. I could not comprehend why we had to leave our home, but thought we will go back soon anyway. Never we did. Here I am tonight 13 years later, reflecting what the situation would be like for the people of Lascaano, where war looms. If this war ever happens, it will be another tragedy facing Somali people. It seems no lesson has been learnt for thirteen years. I really don’t see the benefit of war for both sides, at the end of the day is the people who will lose whatever the end result might be. Let us pray for peace, May Allah avert us from another catastrophe, Amiin.
