Uhuru loses a landmark case before the ICJ case
galbeedi replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
If these kind of senseless crimes keep happening in Nairobi, it will be difficult for visitors and others. Africans, such as south Africans, commit ugly and heinous crimes just for few bucks. You will not find these kind of crimes in Addis Ababa , Ethiopia. -
MMA, Liberal and pro peace Jews and Israelis used to be huge two decades ago, but now they are minority and has been threatened by 25 years of Netanyahu and Shamir. An Israeli pilot said, " "I went on a mission to carry out airstrikes with a feeling that destroying the towers is a way to vent frustration over what is happening to us and over success of the groups in Gaza in kicking us" "We failed to stop the rocket fire and to harm the leadership of these groups, so we destroyed the towers,” When you see tanks shelling Gaza, ships bombarding from the sea and airplanes from the sky, you would thing this huge army is facing another army. I wonder what will happen when they face a real army with sophisticated weapons.

Oh, one more thing. Sister Ilhan Omar has single handedly changed the discourse of the American /Israeli debate in to a different direction. My God, she made us proud.

Uhuru loses a landmark case before the ICJ case

Kenya is the top five leading African nations. Kenya's GDP was less than $13 billion twenty years ago. While we were going down they were going up. We Somalis might have also contributed to that growth. If they survive this election season the sky is the limit. Last time Koffi Anan saved them from civil war. -
The talks were mostly a scheme for Somaliland and southern politicians to get some money from the donors. Ahmed Siilaanyo signed documents affirming being part of the republic to get some badly needed cash.. Somaliland even demanded the exclusion of those who hail from Somaliland and Puntalnd. Faysal shalay waxa uu lahaa ninkaa Farmaajo inaga qabta, maantana waxa uu leeyhay dawladi majirto. Qaar badan neef baa ka soo baxday. Why?

Uhuru loses a landmark case before the ICJ case

Well, we are usually transferring power peacefully, and everyone including the losing candidate accepts the result. In 2016,when president elect Farmaajo appeared in the podium with tow former presidents, it send shock waves in the gulf countries and the region. No nation could survive the amount of interference Somalia is facing at the moment. Hungry tribes, thieves and secessionists are all in the move. This is worse than 1885 scramble for Africa. Turkish engineers building roads have been blown by UAE bombs, major ports have been taken over for pennies, while anarchists' who got rich of the instability are taking hostage of the nation. Everyone is cared including the cabinet and the whole leadership. The police who supposed to protect the people are blown in their own offices. THe president hardly moves to anywhere for months. We have survived , but the time has come to change direction. Those who are counting the years have field day in these days, but if we hold this election peacefully and transfer power, who knows ,better days might be ahead. Somalia was the only the democracy in the sea of Africa in the sixties. -
Uhuru loses a landmark case before the ICJ case

The issue isn't about the economy of Kenya or the place Kenya holds in the continent. It is a very stable country with reasonable growth. I know you jump when you hear about Kenya, but we are discussing how Uhuru could wreck the Kenyan boat by changing the constitution in order to rule many more years. Apophis why not tell us your opinion about what has been cooked in Kenya. Mise wanaag mooye waxba laga sheegi maayo Kenya? -
When was the last time Israel invaded or even entered HisbuAllah controlled south Lebanon? 2006. HisBullah are bribed these days to avoid attacking Israel. The Arab list party in Israel is now the the tie breaker of the fourth election in two years. How long will Sisi of Egypt keep the prison gates of Gaza closed? Not for long. The reasonable Jews and Israelis had predicted the future and decided for the two state solution before the crazies showed up. All they supposed to do was give back 22% of original Palestine and have a lasting peace with the Arabs. These crazies thought Trump was helping them. Neither UAE nor Bahrain represent the Arab or the Muslim world. It is not too late for Israelis to revert to peace before its too late. All it takes is Egypt controlled by the people.

Oslo was destroyed by right wing leaders , Sharon and Netanyahu. The Zionists had murdered Ishak Rabin who negotiated the deal. Netanyahu rejected everything in his first term 1996, and Sharon bombed all Palestinian infrastructure including the Ramalla airport, police stations ,and bulldozers came to the house of Yaser Arafat. Other than leadership, this simpleton proff. has only narrated the conflict zones of the world without real solutions. Dictatorships in the developing world are nurtured by the west . Democracy at home and despots abroad should be the slogan. Ireland is a first world nation , and when the British decided to accommodate the former terrorists (IRA) as equal partners , the conflict disappeared. We know why Palestine, Myanmar Rohingya and others are not resolved. It is hard to judge the Somali issue with the presence of Al-shabaab in the equation which prevents development and nation building.

That warmonger Netanyahu has destroyed any hope of Palestinian state. He and war criminal Sharon has rejected the Oslo accord and decided to make Gaza an open prison. Yet, the tide might be turning. All the Palestinians has to do is survive and be there. The era of Israeli tanks entering Lebanon and Gaza is over and one day these airplanes will get a suitable air defense. It is like a boxer tying his opponent to pole and beating him. Not only that ,Israel is asking others like Egypt and UAE to join the beating of the tied Palestinians. What would happen when these Palestinians are free from that pole and start boxing for freedom? Decade from now on Israel will be on the defensive. That is for sure.

"Don’t Blame Me for Delaying Somalia’s Elections"

Arafaat, That argument is been debated among his supporters. At the moment his not only wounded badly, but some among the members of parliament think that his aura of strong and future leader to unite the country is damaged. Besides, Somali politics a one time used card. We have been described as " constantly inconsistent. There will be a third candidate, and I hope Rooble might be the one. Also, at the moment there is no front runner in sight. Premier Rooble doesn't have the coalition Farmaajo has built from north to south. If he helps Rooble to be the candidate of N&N the chances are really very high. Rooble is different than Farmaajo in terms of style and approach. For example, Farmaajo used to call meetings just days before the due date without any prior preparation. It is Friday and he will call a meeting for Monday. You can't call a meeting without the consent of the participants. Unlike Farmaajo, Rooble takes his time and sets up the meeting more than two weeks ahead while mending fences. Will see tomorrow what he has prepared. -

The whole horn of Africa is on the brink of major instability. If Uhuru tries the typical African president maneuvering to rule for twenty years, it will effect the region negatively. Despite their issues in last election, they have been stable and predictable country. Add this with Sudan military coup which has been influenced by outsiders. Ethiopia's Abiy Ahmed is unable to stop ethnic clashes while the election is postponed again. Musafeni of Uganda is entreing his 32th year in 2022, while Cumar Geele is in his fifth term. Despite our shortcomings and Al-shabaab menace, Somali could be the only real democracy in the region. -

The way he finishes or ends his tenure if he loses will be very important. He should hold his head high and keep the narrative of dethroning the clan elite. One person one vote will be here in less than four years and the players will be the same. He should keep the N&N coalition and look to the future. He is wounded ,yet he must face the election as alternative to others. His main weakness is he never addressed these issues during his term. You can not rule Somalia behind the curtain and blame others for your failures. -

In Somalia, those who came to work on time and worked hard were even called Guulwade. Supporting Farmaajo and wishing his success doesn't mean Guulwadeyn. Still I accept that adjective, but don't even again accuse me of taking illegal money from anyone/ Billa edeb baad tahay aan akhlaaq lahayn. Naga xishood oo wax walba afka ha soo marin. -

Farmaajo should know that the horse has left the barn. He just kept repeating what he said six weeks ago. The best quote in the article was this: " Many of the remaining challenges of Somalia’s state-building processes stem from exclusionary elite demands centered on patriarchal clan identity. This does not serve the Somali people’s democratic or developmental interests for the long term". Let us see what Rooble has for us. -
That is a good reminder. Kud ka guur oo qanjo u guur. I would back my initial town: Garacad. I do believe that those people whobuilt the port will be proud to host the Somali capital. Anagana way noo dhawdahay. From Burco it could be less than seven hours.

That is good academic analysis. Nin Geelsoo dhici jiray iyo nin beera falanaya isku aragti ma ahan. -
As long as war monger Netanyahu is in charge, there will not be peace in that region. The guy is obsessed with power. This was the fourth Israeli election in two years, yet he doesn't want to quit.

Duufaan. This Biden guy is doing belter we expected. For the first time billions of dollars are being given to help black farmers, entrepreneurs and schools. For years hundreds of billions were thrown to white farmers and other especial interest groups for many different reasons. For the last two years of Obama and four years of Trump ,America didn't build anything. They have been arguing for the last six years , and Biden is trying to catch up in terms of infrastructure and new technology. If these generals think the election was stolen, as the above article mentioned, it might definitely lead to fragmentation of America. As long as he doesn't mess with Turkey ,I am Ok with Biden. France is totally a different animal. They are nostalgic of past glory and empires of years gone. If you put aside their FrancAfrica colonial thing, soon they could be just like Italy or even Greece. Everyone in France want to be paid handsomely without working hard. They work 35 hours a week and one moth vocation a year, with that kind of attitude, you can't compete with America or China. Rather than look in the mirror, they blame Muslim immigrants for their decline.

PM Abiy Ahmed Declares War on Tigray: First bullets fired
galbeedi replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
This lady had traveled hundreds of miles, and so far she couldn't find one single mass grave. Just one wounded lady. They should travel to Gaza -
good point. Baraawe it is.

Che, The debate about the relocation of the capital from Mogadishu has started among Somalis. yesterday I was talking to some people about the relocating the capital and many people said Baraawe or Baydhabo. The northern guys said, " we are already 2000 km away from Mogadishu, and we need a central location". I suggested Garacad since it is brand new town, with Indian ocean type with mild climate. I guess those of us from the north and those from Mogadishu should meet in the middle, and this new town could fit the bill.

The Amhara and Tigray showed up in Ethiopia as early as 1887. They are northern tribes who populated northern highlands. They used to occupy 20% or less of the current Ethiopian map.
