  1. I know you two are pro-establishment infiltrators. The protest will continue unabated.

  3. With 'made in Kulmiye HQ' political crisis in Somaliland, Qoslaaye's bad start with the D-block, and Faroole's increasing dictatorial tendencies, its time the spring revolution reached SOL. So dear nomads, whatever your grievances just march into this thread, let loose your inner ape, and make you voice(or your script's voice) heard loud and clear.
  4. ^^ Mooge may not be a popular member in SOL but the man was very dignified through out the campaign period and did not resort to name calling. Indeed, I nearly voted for him too only for Abtigiis to snatch my vote in the last minute with his outrageous stories. Congratulations Mooge.

The European union gave Somaliland this year 28 million for water development which the government allocated to Hargeisa, Berbera and wajaale. how about some water wells for these coastal communities. Finally no body can use as a bribe to geele for the Zaylac people. waar indha adagaa reer barigu , dad doorasho ku soo baxay buu leeyahay kuwa kale u daaya. maxaad berbera in aad mayor ka noqotaan aad u samayn waydeen. ku xigeenkii xataa dadkii ayaa qatay oo weliba governarkii saaxilna la siiyey. Ilaahay nama joojiyo maalinta uu kaasi madaxweyne noqdo. Muuse Biixi has no chance of becoming a president. He has too many opponents and few friends it seems. In order to become the president of Somaliland, one has to thread a fine line and please all the tribes, an important characteristic absent in Muuse Biixi's CV.
  6. ^^ The whole country should oppose and protest against any interference by the government in the democratic process. If the president undermines the will of the people in Saylac today, tomorrow, Hargeisa, Berbera, Burco, and Ceerigaabo will follow and Somaliland's democracy will be effectively dead. The president should better concentrate on how to make the system work well for everyone.

But cigaal had balls he could care less about what any one thinks of his Somaliland., Ismaciil cumar geele firing his ministers and ambassadors from the non jesus clan is just absurd. The government of Somaliland should accept democracy the people of Seylac elected a mayor and deputy mayor and that's fine. It is unacceptable for the government to interfere and abstract the democratic process. The majority won in this election and their rights should be respected. President Silaanyo should tell the Djibouti tyrant not to interfere in our internal affairs.
  8. With the end of hostilities in Somalia, the Somalis will return to their homeland, the UN will leave Nairobi, the numerous relocated embassies will re-relocate to Mogadishu, the aid agencies will follow, the dollar will say its goodbyes and leave, and the Kikuyu will be left scratching his head and wondering whether his rather short golden age is about to come to an abrupt end.
  9. ^^ I did not say you lack values as everyone has values of some sort. But the truth is, without the Islamic faith a lot of the values you hold however sophisticated become irrelevant in the Somali perspective.

Borame clan won 10 out of 17 seats in Saylac which makes them the righteous ones for Mayor and deputy mayor positions. for 21 years the djibouti clan was mayor of Saylac and governonr of Salel no one said nothing to them, today when they lost they b!tch about it !! Borama clan got more votes in Both Lughaya and Saylac so they have the right to take everything. The problem is djibouti clan got the back up of Ismacii Cumar geele who told Silaanyo to give his clan Saylac or else he will be sorry.. IOG has huge influence in SL remember last year when he called the Somaliland cause a case of "putting the cart before the horse" ? Somalilanders couldn't say anything about it. there are also important ministers in djibouti from the Hargaysa clan so if IOG dont get Saylac he will fire those ministers. on the other hand if Silanyo attempts to take Saylac from Borama clan the ppl of Awdal will not allow that to happen and those demonstrations are only the start. If that was the only consequence of defying the Djibouti dictator and I wish it was, Silaayo would gladly show him the middle finger. But the biggest challenge for the government of Somaliland is not to alienate the Jesus clan in Somaliland and turn them into rebels. We don’t want another Khaatumo in the west of our country.

It is a government elected by the people and for the people and is guided by the constitution, at least in theory.

  14. What has Hadraawi got to do with the useless tribal politics going on in Somaliland. I am damn sure he does not give a rat’s @ss about Kulmiye or even the clan he hails from. Apparently I was right to compare Somali tribalism with football hooliganism. Both are just raw emotions with no rationale behind it.

Times like these, my soul reluctantly longs for the rule of YOU-KNOW-WHO! I don't mean to take a higher moral ground, and I know this sort of thing does occur, after all we are all human, but we are not and we DONT want to be (through culture and deen) the sort of society that publishes and distributes these sort of stories. That is my view. We don't need Al Shabaab. But definately we need Somaliwayne's version of Jeremy Kyle.

Several days I have to abandon writing stories because a curious daughter who now learned how to read just likes to sit next to me and starts to read each line I type. Can I read that one kulahaa? No, aabo, that one is for the office, I say embaraased. :D I see your daughter inherited the intelligence gene from you. Encourage her to read more by giving her some interesting child literature every fortnight or so. Give her the kick start to become Somaliwayne's next J K Rowling. I sincerely hope you consider professional writing at least to enlighten the Somalis about the issues they rather not talk about.
  18. ^ Yeah, the same folks who would have waved the SL flag are now waving the blue flag for her. Do the average Somalis actually have any political convictions beyond the blind support of their clan?
  19. Wadani;902962 wrote: SNM, SSDF and USC have ruined my life and the life of every single Somali on the face of this earth. We are a people best described by the title of Franz Fanon's book 'The Wretched of the Earth'. The storming of Villa Somalia in 1991 by the USC hordes was equivalent to the destruction of the temple in jerusalem by the Romans in 70 A.D; both events led an indigenous people to scatter around the far reaches of the earth and start from scratch amongst alien and often times antagonistic cultures. But the Jews are a more sophisticated people than the somalis, and have not allowed their dispersal to lead to social and cultural disintegration, as is occuring at a dizzying rate among the Somali diaspora, and to a lesser extent back home. The Kacaan/M.O.D regime was far from perfect....but it gave us our rightful place in this God forsaken world. It gave us dignity, pride and faith in ourselves and our nation; things that r a requisite for the survival and success of any people, and unfortunately such sentiments among the Somalis have taken fatal blows. You have no idea about the history of the former Somali Republic. It was not the rebel movements who destroyed the country, it was Siyaad Barre and his tyrannical regime. The rebels were just reacting to the oppression, corruption, nepotism, and the constant appropriation of the nation's meagre resources for personal use by the ruling elite. I don’t think Somaliland and Puntland are worst off now than when they were under the tyranny. But I do despair for the suffering of our brethren in the South, Kililka, and NFD.
  20. My vote goes to: Abtigiis Citation: Despite his Jurassic age, the insurgent is unrivalled in his positive contribution to this forum. His stories are imaginative and filled with humour although a warning sign must come with some of them to aid the easily excitable teens using public computers.

I don't know much about poems but yes Northerners are the worst culprits when it comes to discrimination. At some point they were almost Pharaohnic in their treatment of our laangaab brothers. And Siyaad was right to empower the laangaab. [Laangaab: tribes with short lineages .i.e., minorities. Laandheer has the opposite meaning.(translation is for Apo)].
