Carafaat - No one is against Unuka having Mogadishu, it's the status of capital that is in question because how can Unuka be Unuka yet have that status, I am afraid that is just not logical. So I propose along with others to have the South African system of 3 different capitals based on the branches of government. And then they can remain their Unuka forever, it's their right to be Unuka, I like Unuka, it's all about Unuka, you Unuka me?

Carafaat;878690 wrote: Give up clan federalism and everyone can share every place. That doesn't even make sense, how would that change anything discussed in this thread? I repeat again, Muqdisho has 16 districts, all governed by 1 clan, that is not a capital for all Somalis, and I am afraid your unitary bullcrap wouldn't change that 1 iota! Also may I remind you what happens to people who reclaim their properties....

Good call my man, exactly, give the status to another town and we will built that up for all Somalis.

Tan kale dikes mala dhisi karo miyaa preventing fatahaado? No one can afford desalination plants and you shouldn't expect irrigation to change anything since Ethiopia is putting up dams on its rivers, even the small ones like Omo_river, what makes you think Jubba and Shabelle will be spared? It will take decades to make up for that, and more droughts are coming..

The difference is in Jubboyinka they will be given their position and included in discussions unlike in Hiiraan, that's my point to Raamsade! They aren't killed and prosecuted in Jubboyinka, and they will be an integral part of Jubbaland/Azania State of Somalia, the second state to fulfil the 2 region criteria thus technically making them the second state!

Of course what anybody who has a deep knowledge of Somali culture can glean from the article is that the SNM gang is reinvigorating itself as an offshoot of Alshabaan and Alqaacida after the recognition mission failure. The media has the sound bites, and in video, of your so-called internal minister in which, a couple of weeks ago, he invited the defeated remnants of Alshaab to Hargeisa. Naturally, they have accepted the invitation. I'm coming back - General Freaking Morgan

Raamsade;877792 wrote: As long as the locals are consulted with, those spearheading this Jubbaland entity are actually from the region and the new government in Mogadishu gives Jubbaland its blessings no one will/should be against it. But we know none of that holds true. The locals are side-stepped as evidenced by the 1001 different groups sprining up everywhere all claiming to be "true natives/owners" of Kismaayo. You have foreign government, Kenya, pushing some obscure clan outfits like Ras Kamboni to enforce their Jubbaland agenda against the expressed wishes of the new federal government in Xamar. And finally, just about everyone championing this fictitious entity, Jubbaland, including many here on SOL weren't even born in Jubbooyinka. Why should someone who wasn't born there have more say about the region's future than those who were and live there now? Hey, hey, you say you are from Hiiraan, but in Hiiraan you sideline the same people you want to have an input in Jubbaland/Azania project, and you are creating a state without their input while Ethiopians guard you, what's up with that mate?

Look at what " SomalilandPress" posted yesterday; Reports from the self-clan (?) regional administration of Puntland in Somalia say plans are underway to deploy 2000 militants from *****ten clan to Kismayo to help the ******i militants, who recently captured the city with the support of ****** men in Kenyan army. Following an emergency cabinet meeting chaired by Puntland President, Abdirahman Mohamed Farole, the administration decided to implement the deployment plans as soon as possible. Farole told the meeting that the *****teh clan interest in Kismayo cannot be protected fully by the ****** militants in Kismayo, so the suitable way will be military involvement. The cabinet has unanimously agreed the military operation in Kismayo , which will be followed by another programme of settling thousands fof *****ten clan members from Boosaaso, Garow, Gaalkacyo and other towns to Kismayo. The *****ten clan is among the clans that claim the ownership pf Jubbaland, despite the fact their number in Kismayo city does not exceed 20 to 30 families. Jubbaland has been in crisis in since 1960, when some Somali leaders launched programs to settle their clan members in the region, and displacing the indigenous people. In 1991 the ***** clan members led by their warlords committed genocide against the indigenous people that killed thousands of people and displaced many of them. Every degmo in Mogadishu is governed by 1 clan, even the mayor position, so no, it is not a capital for all Somalis, unlike Mogadishu, federal states do not purport to be for all Somalis but for all the indigenous clans. So shove your innuendos people.

Xaaji is right, and they are all in support of the Jubbaland State which will join Galmudug and Puntland States in becoming the 3rd Republic in the Federal Republic of Somalia, this will ensure a smoother end to this horrible civil war which has been going on for over 2 decades.
