Today its national flags tomorrow its no Eid celebrations at all. But thats not the point. They talk about a free country etc etc but then things like this make you think, why is this not the case when the Sihks are celebrating Divali and Indian flags are all over Southall??? Oh i forgot, because its 'different' right? English flags were everywhere during Euro 2004, there was no protest against that, which is probably the most hate fuelled and offensive flag in the world.

maybe because a woman wouldn't be negligent enough to fall into the tracks Careful now,

^^are you? This decision by the police and council is rediculous in my view. Why can you not celebrate eid by waving a flag, i may just get S/land flag out and drive through the place .

Religious leaders have hit out at a ban on flags at a Muslim festival. Police claim waving flags during the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations in Southall, west London, on 21 and 22 January could provoke violence and racial tensions. The Met said anyone who persisted in ignoring the ban could be arrested for breaching the peace. Sadiq Khan, of the Muslim Council of Britain, said he failed to see "how the carrying of national flags causes anti-social behaviour". 'Faith celebrations' Mr Khan, chairman of the council's legal affairs committee, said: "This is the first time I can recall someone being prohibited from waving a national flag in a public place, other than a sports occasion, in the mainland UK. "I can't see the legal justification for this. Whether you agree or disagree with the way people celebrate a festival they are not doing anything against the law." Ealing police, who made the request for people not to take flags, said the celebrations were faith celebrations and therefore had no link to any national flag. A police spokesman said that in the past waving flags has "sometimes led to the incitement of violence, racial tension and breaches of peace between groups in the Southall area". "Local community representatives have been consulted on our policing strategy. They fully support our tackling of anti-social behaviour to help preserve the dignity of this religious occasion," he said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4167765.stm

^^^ability skill and acheivements is whats defines a great player. Abede Pele had both whereas Jey Jey only had the skills. Abede had an eye for an opening and threaded the ball through more often than not. Jay Jay is great to watch, but you only watch for a step over or a shimmy here and there. Abede Pele was magnificent saxib, Ngonge you can deny that. I will always remeber a goal he scored in the 91 African Cup of nation, he was near the by-line and managed to bend it in using the outside of his foot fooling the defense and the goal keeper. Roger Miller raised the profile of african football during his times at 90 and 94 world cups respectively. That goal he made for a team mate who then dinked the ball over peter shilton in Italia 90 quater final was nice. But who is the best TODAY??? Kolo Toure Drogba Apiah Jay Jay El Haji Diouf etc etc

Liverpool to land Real Madrid out-of-favour striker Morientes
N.O.R.F replied to Keyz 1-8-7's topic in General
^^^You have seen Liverpool this year, we are playing very well, most of the games we lost, we should have won but only due to poor finishing we didnt. I think Mori will provide the finishing we need to get that CL position in the league and beat Bayer Leverkusen in the CL. Go the Reds -
So who voted?

I see nice progress is being made, maybe i should go and get in on the act. The construction process is very slow when it comes to large scale buildings, many of the workers work slow to maximise the time it takes in order to get their 'mushahar'. I dont really blames them. Materials take forever to arrive from the gulf states, but with possible new links between the gulf and Barbera port, this may be reduced. Thinking of going and cornering the market

Like Nas says, who you gone vote for? Satan or Satan? I prefer the greens
