They'll claim for freedom and democracy..but they sure wouldn't tell you it's about oil and world domination. You just anwered your own previous question! And if you think people being burned to death is amusing...then may Allah(swt) grant you a qalbi. He didnt die, Its a picture which illustrates what is happening today. In case you hadnt realised its a 'war'. They invaded, occupied, killed, maimed, stole, destroyed IRAQ! IRAQ saxib, IRAQ! How can someone destroy IRAQ and think ppl wont care?
-
I hope saxib, the time is fast approaching and i hope there are no mishaps.

I am but posting something thats on the BBC website, why dont you ask them why they are reporting it??? Most of the soldiers in this territory don't even know why they are there in the first place. If only i was as naive as you life would be rosy through those purple glasses. They all know why they are there and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. They are there to occupy and steal, just as they (the Brits) have been doing for many years. The news was very interesting last night.

Its a peaceful, stable and 'independent' country, with or without recognition, with or without Somalia, Somaliland is here to stay, hence the parliamentary elections, there is no talk of war, nobody carries a gun, there are no road blocks taxing ppl, the ppl are secure and do not feel they are about experience another war, etc etc etc etc Why turn you attentions to Somaliland all of a sudden? Tired of chearleading a warlord's cause, tired of talking of possble wars? tired of analysing skirmishes? Somaliland is way ahead of Somaia both in terms of politics & security, i hope it works out in Somalia, good luck with Mr Yeey

Very disturbing but i'm not surprised after the last elections where won by '82' votes found in a box in a misterious location somewhere in Hargaisa  A repeat parhaps? good that this was highlighted early.

The road between Barbera and ethiopia is bearly complete, this vital link will bring need trade bothways. It is very important for the Somaliland officials to control what passing through its borders and out of the country. I just hope we are not undercharging them for the use of the port. Ethopia is developing with the help of countries such as Isreal. Many members of their govnt are British Educated. I just hope S/land gets its act together before long and implement a recognised structure with respect to Economy/Development.

Football is about strategy. One has to understand its tactics to enjoy real football on Sunday afternoon. That very true,,,, 'American Football' is absolute cr*p, 4 hrs of stoppages, 1st downs and yellow hankies popping up everywhere, the tactical plays are called by someone sat in the stands via a radio? is this game played by players or coaches? plus i cant stand the american accent, Rugby is a much better sport!

Now, now, speaking to strangers doesnt prove anything, why speak to someone on a bus or train? Just to be able to say your not shy? Speak to who you need to speak to, at home, work, post office, bank, shops etc etc but ask them how there day is, be polite, strike a conversation, have a joke wherever possible, thank them then move on, life is a bliss Just yesterday i saw someone wearing a Juventus Football (soccer) shirt (Italian team), he happened to from Turin, Italy. We talked about football (as you do) i told him i was a LIverpool fan , he acknowledged our win against them (he was at Anfield) and their arch rivals AC Milan, then the topic went onto what hes doing in the ME (network engineer for telecom firm) and there you have it, a quick conversation in a shop while we were waiting for the Idian shop keeper to get something from the store.

Looking at this holistically, does a speach at the UN 60th Anniversary constitute optimism with the ever metioning of war in Somalia? Do we overlook the situation back home just for a speach intended to appease and to end poverty but members of your own cabinet are back home plotting another war? Do we forget Yeey's history? I never trust politicians and warlords. Call me an eternal cynic but this speach will probaly pass by as Somalia is not a 'priority' right now for the rest of the world. How can the UN trust a man his own ppl dont trust?

Ya usheega Fahmima that the money is being used to build a Villa for each minister and to purchase the 1st Lady's new home in a diffent country altogether. I love her efforts and may we all be rewarded for our perseverance IA. ameen

You deserve a gold star for that comment Norf. Seriously, this is probably the only time you mentioned arsenal and didnt say something bad. Maybe this is the start of a non anti arsenal northener. I shall pray for you!! Amin! Just saying it like it is, the arrogance Arsenal players and fans had, has gone, hence my change in tact! Do you remeber wen you all thought you could beat REal Madrid based on being unbeaten for the 1st 7 games or so against team like Leed et al? Anyway, a bit of a disappointing game today, at least Owen is off the mark.

Ma waxa laga dhigey mod inaad meesha qastid? lol i actaully thought of starting a prem thread but didnt bother, threads always get mixed up on here anyway,,, Chelsea fans lack passion, they may be able to buy trophies but they will never buy passionate fans, you remember how quiet it was for a CL semi back in May? Arsenal are still not playing at full throttle, they are playing ok, but are missing a midfield boss

The BIGGEST game in the Premiership!!!! By Peter Hooton If Man United didn't exist you'd have to invent them. Basically, we need clubs like United because everyone loves a fierce rivalry. It's healthy and I think if it weren't there you'd miss it. There has always been a municipal jealousy between the cities of Liverpool and Manchester, and given their close proximity it is not surprising. But I don't think this is the main reason for the rivalry between Liverpool and United. Manchester City, for example, have never been big rivals of ours. Liverpool fans have never deemed City a threat, even when they were doing well in the late sixties/early seventies. Manchester United have always been the benchmark. And I'm sure United would say the same about Everton. At the start of every season there are only two fixtures that Liverpudlians really look out for and they are Manchester United and Everton. Talk of any rivalry with Arsenal or Chelsea is rubbish. That is all media manufactured. Locally, Liverpool and Everton will always be a big deal, but on a global scale Liverpool versus Manchester United is still THE biggest fixture in English football calendar. What other game will get fans from all corners of the world out of their beds and in front of their television screens at some godforsaken hour in the morning? Hooton on LFC v MUFC At the start of every season there are only two fixtures that Liverpudlians really look out for and they are Manchester United and Everton. Talk of any rivalry with Arsenal or Chelsea is rubbish. That is all media manufactured. Locally, Liverpool and Everton will always be a big deal, but on a global scale Liverpool versus Manchester United is still THE biggest fixture in English football calendar. Given the recent success of Chelsea some people may say I am deluded but I honestly believe this. There is just so much more to Liverpool versus Manchester United, it's not only about the 90 minutes of football. Source At the start of every season, the 1st team i games i look for are Man Utd vs Liverpool, yes as a scouse fan 1st but i'm sure many others also. I just found out the game is at 12pm gmt  i'm at work, i thought it was a 4.05pm kick-off, it would have suited me to a T, but now i need to find an excuse

Thanx Aeronwen (what does that mean anyway, is it another Sci-Fi character?) and the rest, i didnt even realise Soma, Rahima and Mojam had all been made members aswell, but its a nice surprise and a refreshing sprinkle of new mods. The sports section is a well behaved forum with some good banter, but Rahima may have her hands full at times good luck.
