A group of Sikhs were recently arrested in New York and handcuffed in the middle of the street. The Americans can't even tell the difference between a Sikh and a Muslim. looooooool

When will The Somaliland Night Dream come true????
N.O.R.F replied to Garyaqaan2's topic in Politics
An exhuasted topic. Its only natural for one to post smething on Somaliland with the intension of creating yet another negative topic with all that is going on in Somalia right now not being of a positive nature. Whats this, balancing the books Wiil Duco? -
Quiet Storm It has been a really strange atmosphere on the tube lately, alot of worried faces who seem to check who is carrying a rucksack, who is waring a beard, who is not white basically. But your a Londoner, so just get on with it. I have'nt carried a bag since 7/7, I dont need the hassle, i dont need the looks, i dont need the paranoia. Bisinka qabso each morning and start from the back page

No, but reer Burco in Hargeisa jeex ayaga dhisteen maanad ogayn? Specialy the Red Sea and Jigjigayar suburbs. I know saxib, didnt think we was gonna miss all the action did you . You mean at the bottom of hill that leads up to cidaacada? The area is also knows as burcaan ka-imi Brings back gr8 memories, i remeber watching a Liverpool vs Arsenal one January night in the Somaliland Cinema, what an atmosphere, the support was split 50-50, Liverpool made it 2-2 in the last minute Stoic, you a very right, there is not enough of an alround tourist scene and ppl who go to visit will stay with family 99% of the time unless they UN associated staying for a few days/weeks. If i had that sort of money i would think twice about building a hotel. One thing i have noticed is the thrivin building industry (with a few hik-ups when the dollar is down) even though otel building is mostly where the money s spent. This keeps general labourers/engineers employed.

Ma reer Burco ayaad ahayd? They build mostly in that area Oo ma rear Burcaa disey? I like the red, green and white colours not sure what the external facade is but those black lines reduce its aesthetic-ness some what. I like the canopies over the entrance areas and the Juliet varandas. The locals will be glad if a number of their jobless fella get something to make their hads busy there. And who knows they might even one day afford a night there too True

I oppose the occupation of Iraq. I opposed the Iraq war and thought it an imperialistic war to further the interests of the United States. However, my opposition to that war, my anger at the treatment of the Iraqis and my total fury at the impotence of the Islamic world shall not cloud my judgment and lead me to compromise my own principles,

Kashafa, on the point about listening to our Imams/Sheiks, i take it you actually go to Friday prayers and listen? Seems as though we going in circles here. We have one who is justifying the attacks based on an electoral system of democracy (which is not a Sheria) and condones the killing of innocents (again wrong according to Sheria/Islamic Laws) and thinks ppl will actually take him seriously  Then there is the debate of War Rules vs Terrorism Rules. Again, the jutification of the killing of innocents on a transport system is being compared to that of a 'known' attack (ie war). Yes both are wrong. But one is/was aimed at Govnt buildings/milatary targets/strategic infrastructure with aim of bringing the Iraqi govnt down and trying to avoid the deaths of civlians (yes at least they tried to avoid the deaths) and the other was aimed the London tranport system aiming to kill innocent ppl. Thought i would just like to highlight the basics/developments of this thread. My debating is done! goes to bang his head on another brick wall

The mis-education of our yourth today ey  Killing civilians is wrong and can not be excused away by the nature of the ‘struggle’ Simply put for simple ppl! Haddad and Kashafa, i just cant see you two packing your bags and fighting in Iraq for some reason  Save us your misinformed 'palava' and take your views to Iraq if all you do is justify/excuse and condone innocents dying (spelling). The UK govnt is to blame for Iraq, not the majority of ppl who were against it. These are facts you should before posting your 'illness' here. One wonders if you actually listen to our Imams/shieks at all  If so, then why do you have these views? Do you believe your views are correct under Islamic/Sheria laws? If so, how??? Please answer the questions above in as much detail as possible and do not avoid it. If you do (avoid them), i will no longer engage in any discussion with yourself due to the 'simple' fact that you are arguing for the sake of it!

there is likely to be a lengthy enquiry in due course, those found guilty will be punished and justice will be seen to have been fulfilled The inquest will last no longer than a week, the officer(s) who did the shooting will NOT be punished due to the basic facts that he followed protocol of shooting suicide bombers in the head when there is a threat (due to the current circumstaces, the officer shot him because he ran away when told to stop and that he was wearing a puffer jacket in the middle of summer)that enough to shoot someone by The Met Police Rules(however unfortunate), allah yarxama to the diceased. I dont blame the police, they did not create this period of tense un-certainty, they did not create this environment we all have to live in, they did not create the suspicion of all muslims in the capital. It is all down the cowardly attacks 2 weeks agon and the failed attempts this weak. We have had muslims killed in bombs, killed by the po-po and many arrests. Those who sypathise/support must review their stance. True it was expected to happen but that doesnt make it a war against a govnt who invaded Iraq. Just look at Sharm Al Sheik today, is this a war against a Govnt or innocent ppl? Bl**dy cowards!

Man shot dead by police on Tube Police have cordoned off a 200-metre area around the station A man has been shot dead by armed officers at Stockwell Tube station, as police hunt four would-be bombers. Passenger Mark Whitby told BBC News he had seen a man of Asian appearance shot five times by "plain-clothes police officers" with a handgun. "I saw the gun being fired five times into the guy - he is dead," he said. Passengers were evacuated from the Northern Line station in south London. The incident followed four minor explosions in the capital on Thursday. Police have cordoned off a 200-metre area around Stockwell station. Services on the Victoria and Northern lines have been suspended following a request by the police, London Underground said. Ambulances including an air ambulance have been sent to the scene at Stockwell. They pushed him to the floor, bundled on top of him and unloaded five shots into him Witness Mark Whitby 'They unloaded five shots' Mr Whitby, told BBC News: "I was sitting on the train reading my paper. "I heard a load of noise, people saying, 'Get out, get down'! "I saw an Asian guy run onto the train hotly pursued by three plain-clothes police officers. "One of them was carrying a black handgun - it looked like an automatic - they pushed him to the floor, bundled on top of him and unloaded five shots into him." Passenger Alison Bowditch told BBC News: "The tube pulled into the station and we were sitting there, you know, as you do and then there was just a lot of shouting and the sound of gunfire and then people were saying, 'Get off, get off!' "Somebody definitely went to the ground and as they went to the ground I heard gun fire and assumed they had been shot." People on my train started banging on the doors, saying, 'Let us off, let us off! Passenger Jason Dines Jason Dines, of Brixton, south London, was on a train that pulled in to Stockwell station at about 1000 BST. He told BBC News: "I suddenly became aware there was a real sense of panic. "I could see people running down the platform to the exit. "People on my train started banging on the doors, saying, 'Let us off, let us off!' "They were making so much noise, it was impossible to hear the driver's announcements. "The fear was contagious - I felt my heart racing. "The doors of the train opened - but the driver was trying to get everyone to get back on the train. "The PA system on the platform was clearer. "Once people got the message they got back onto my train, and we continued on our way. "At that point people were saying they had seen armed police shoot a man on the opposite platform. "People were very scared. I was very angry." After Thursday's London blasts, the bombers fled after detonators went off, causing small blasts, but failed to detonate the bombs themselves.
