This story has been in the Middle East media for a while now and many people are angry and upset at the state of affiars. One does'nt which story to believe and there are many conspiracu theories/stories/west/middle east media,,,, End in sight for Libya Aids trial By Paul Wood BBC correspondent in Benghazi, Libya The trial in Libya of five nurses and a doctor from Bulgaria charged with deliberately giving the Aids virus to 400 children may soon be over. The medics are accused by the Libyan leader, Colonel Gaddafi, of taking orders from the CIA and the Israeli secret service, Mossad. The trial has been going on in the city of Benghazi for almost five years. Hopes are high that the medics may be released as early as next month, after Libya's attempts to end its isolation. The idea that the CIA and Mossad paid Bulgarian nurses to murder Libyan children in order to destabilise the country may seem too fantastic for any spy novel. But for the past five years, it has been an accepted fact in Libya - a theory put forward by Colonel Gaddafi himself, and used as the basis for the trial of the six Bulgarians. Torture The nurses have called expert witnesses, including one of the team which discovered the Aids virus, who said this was an epidemic caused by poor hygiene at the hospital, not by any international conspiracy. The nurses are accused of conspiring with foreign agents The Bulgarians did sign confessions, but they told me they were tortured by the police, with daily beatings, sexual assault and electric shocks. The police officers accused of doing this have now been charged themselves - their defence: that they were tortured before signing their confessions too. They now sit at the back of the same courtroom as the Bulgarians. This trial is a sometimes-bizarre affair. Western diplomats say the prosecutions arose because the authorities simply needed someone to blame for a tragedy which has caused outrage in Libya - more than 400 children infected in Benghazi. Now though, with Libya trying to rejoin the international community, there have been hints that the Bulgarians' long nightmare may be about to end. In fact, what happens to them now is being seen by many as a test of just how serious Libya is about ended its long, and sometimes rather paranoid, isolation Link More

I would disagree saxib. I think Rafa will be judged on this one. Hes a great manager but this Crouch is a lemon. He has a 'nice' touch for a tall fella but thats all. Baros was a million times a better striker, faster, stronger and scored a fair few also. Do you notice Crouch goes to the ground too much? another Heskey? We really need Owen/Defoe and not Cisse. Rafas tactics is for attacking football compared to Houlier. Zabi Alonso will prove to be the best buy for him. When Simoa finally arrives things will get better but Gerrard neeed to be playing in the middle.

Lui There are part of Somalia that are safe. Somaliland in the north west is safe and a welcoming hub for tourists. There are many UN workers from Europe/Asia there. Many have internet blogs but check this one out >> Inside Somaliland which has alot of information your looking for and it comes from a non-Somali which will help in making up your mind.

What a nail biting end to the Lpool game, we should have been at least 3 or 4 goals up but Crouch is simply not a CL player, we sell Baros and get Crouch. That is simply not logical no matter how much Rafa tries to justify it. Looks like all the top teams are through, the next round will be interesting.

Any person who commits such crimes deserves what he gets. By not showing 'shock' at a group of Somalis carryingout such an act shows one to be lost and has his/her head in the clouds. Believe it or not but we are peaceful people. By adding fuel to the fire and suggesting this is the norm for Somalis (as Somalia is a violent place) wherever they are, shows a basic lack of comprehending a simple situation. As farax brown mentioned any human being is capable of doing anything, if this is the basis for your argument (Castro and Xibit) then you would probably win your argument (phsycological analysis of individuals would come into contention). But if you are arguing on the basis of Somalis should'nt be shocked on the simple fact that Somalia is a violent place then we have something to debate/argue over. So whats it to be? The simpleton line or do you more to offer? ps they havent been charged yet

Those blue cameras are a nightmare. If your car is not insured/taxed then it will pick you up, track you and inform the traffic police. I have been legal for 3 years (since starting work) but many people are not. Castro, waar ninyho waa inagiiye, heeshis saxib No doubt the Somaliness of the alleged will feature more prominently now.

Going off topic, who saw Ronadhino's display the other night vs Real Madrid??? A great in the making me thinks,,,,,, Since the creater of this leauge has no work to do, i think it only fair for him to start another league after this one. But the season aint over yet, bring on Mauroders spelling). Rocko, Waxaro hav become the laughing stock of the league

I forget, though, the cop was a kuffar lady stopping muslim Somali youth from getting "what's theirs". say whaaaaat? NGONGE are u sure thats not you on the right?
-
Castro We are Somalis, we do not appreciate violence/robberies/killings no matter where when how and what. Why are you agast at one being surprised/shocked by this? Is it because the same is happening back home and that we should not expect any different elsewhere? Are you telling me that you did not atleast raise an eyebrow when u heard about the arrests? But you demonstrate the same on a cruiseliner being hijacked in international waters? My reaction to that thread and your reaction to this are similar. But i wasnt surprised at a cruiseliner warding off Somali boat men in the Indian ocean but i am (surprised) at this latest development. However, you were shocked at the cruisliner hijack attempt (even though you have just mentioned the 'niceties' of Somalia) but here u throw a fit at another's surprise? oh yeah  drinks his luke warm milk
-
Shocked - A severe offense to one's sense of propriety or decency; an outrage. Surprised - Something, such as an unexpected encounter, event, or gift, that surprises. Get that through your effing head,,,,, Somalis are capable of doing such a thing, but in Bradford? how many Somalis do you who live/frequent in Bradford? Eff that do you where Bradford is???? hence the surprise, the level of surprise would have been 'effin' lower if it occured in effin London!
-
They are only suspects but just the fact that they are being questioned is a surprise.

I think the development of schools and hospitals is a 'little' slower than constructing buildings. Plus when u have 5 screaming western raised kids who miss their CBBC/CITV and their freinds you may become a little uncomfortable yourself. I have seen this myself.

Maaaan WinningEleven beat me  I will settle for a CL spot, its getting tight from 3rd to 8th, who will get that 3rd place for the CL spot? Soldiers, you are only one point ahead of 2nd place with 5 games to go, dont count your 'frogs' yet

^^did i mention anything about Ethiopia? The port is a good move for Somaliland in more ways than one. The shipment of future good will now be easier, it call also be a storage port for shipments on there way to Europe, Africa and the Far East. You have ports in Jeddah, Salaala, Muscat and Dubai who are all expanding and raising there tarrifs. Somalialand will hopefully see this and capitalise on it with lower rates for storage and movement. I hope to one day export from Berbera. We all know the Somalia/Ethiopia issue(s) therefore no need to elaborate. Try taking the economist view rather than the political.

LST How will this new venture be certified? Ie what is the general process of moderation? I sujest all audio files be available to yourself or the MOD's for scrutiny before they are aired. Also, a waiting list of recodings on a first come first served basis should be organisaed. Like 1 or 2 recordings a day/week etc but with other recodings waiting in line to be aired. This shall reduce a)any silly stuff being recorded and b) the upkeep of the sight-will the recordings affect the availability of the site in anyway, will my computer take a larger memeory eveytime i log on? do i need download a software? Its a good idea but there needs to be careful consideration to the above issues.
