loool brothers Qanyare is back inspite and despite of the president, but I understand politically speaking why you wish to tarnish the President or rather the Candidate with this particular brush!

In the end the committee could not condemn these men simply because no accusations were brought and decided before a court of law, consequently this was why this matter was sent to the military court as a face saving device for Mahiga and the international community that is so often out manouvered by khat dealers and isbaaro keepers, the questioning might have gone like this :

Q: Why have you rejected their names?

A: Because they are warlords and took part actively in the civil war!

Q: Didn't the president, the speaker as well as others running for different positions also take part in the war why are they not rejected as well? also which court of law proved this....you do not have the remit to prosecute only to approve names submitted by the clan leaders.

and on and on and on.....

That is thing duke they were brought by their people, and even fought for by their people at the risk of missing out on crucial votes, seems like the people have the problem and short comings here.

Sida muuqata Abdiweli daadka ayaa qaadaya sidii Shariif Xasan. Mooge ayaan la hadlayaa oo so far campkiisa ugu macquulsan. Mallaga yaabaa inaad candidate kale raadisaan? Sheekadu waa xun tahay.

War heedhe waan maqnaa labadan bari, ee maxaa soo kordhay, I see both H&D camps are happy with the latest result;) mise xabad joojin aan caga badan ku taagneyn baa meesha ka jirta.

anyway, shiikha teamkiisa waxay u muuqataa inay gudbeen oo loo yeelay.

Maxkamad sare kulahaa, maxkamad maashee.

For the sake of law and order the High Court's decision should be respected. It will set a precedence as way of resolving political disputes. Few warlords here and there will not change anything. It shows some part of our people haven't moved on.

Duke,

How is it "a bad move" for Somalia?

This warlord talk must stop. Witch hunts will not get us anywhere. Reconciliation, forgiveness and genuine magnanimity is the way forward. Just because it might not be in the interest of your chosen candidate does not mean we should harken back to the finger-pointing and blame game that has set back our nation for so many years.

I wonder why they are back after the speaker of the parliament election (ma kuwa wax maqlaya bay aheen). Everything in the somali politics seems so calculated and not taking a natural course.

This is actually a good development ---it does away with what has been shaping up to become a unnecessary grievance from certain community. Such twists to the rules are unwarranted in this late of the game ...

Somalia has moved forward thusly one needs to welcome the political progress taking place in Mogadishu. To witch-hunt now is to miss the big picture.
