  1. First of all, let us hope that the developments of this incident subsides, and then give a chance the General to respond what his motives are for achieving his elusive, concealed agenda?, above all, I wonder if that is feasible in the context of PL's social fabric
  2. Allamagan, The experiment entity known Somaliland administration needs more time to realize its scope and power of influence
  3. Indeed it put smile on my face, I liked it!
  4. Indeed it was newsworthy article, Suldaan thanks for the piece.
  5. Jewish lobbyists in DC are well established and will not be easily silenced in the foreseeable future regardless how hard some may try.

  7. Jeylaani If Garoowe radio station was invited and was forced to use Somaliland’s name than I can understand but Las Caanood is disputed region so coming to Hargeisa and utilizing Puntland’s name is total uncalled for and very disrespectful to our existence. That is why they need to go. If that is the case, doesn't that ring a bell in your head if your existence is based on where Sool, Sanaag, and Ayn people see their destiny is? I think your point is yet another reason why you guys can't have both ways, and an exhibition of your groundless arguments towards the residents of these regions' destiny. Moreover, Mr. Jeylaani, if this reporters go, where will they go, their homeland Puntland or your beloved Somaliland?. I believe what are not call for, not Somali norm, and very disrespectful are what SL administration did to their guests, above all to their countrymen. amankaag
  8. MR.Talker, That is what they call the freedom of expression down in Hargeisa, get it
  9. Mr. Oodweyne well Put. G. Duke, Talker, Maakhir. I said it before and I will say it again!. If PL wants to survive this time and age, it has to treat equally to all its co-founders (sub clans), more importantly it also has to abide its very neutral constitution, of course it itself requires continuous, gradual amendments as new challenges surface along the time line. Having said that, so far the PL constitution is the sole entity available for referral for all conflict of interests that may emerge amongst the PL citizens, be it between government institutions or sub clans. I can’t read President Adde’s mind but his actions attest that he is a weak, corrupt leader. Couldn’t he just suck long time ago Xaabsade, Faroole who is de facto ruler of the capital Garowe, Gaagaab and the likes. Who all happened to be those who are sending Adde’s performance Deep South and paralyzing the over all output of PL. I guess the bug stops on Adde’s desk. Furthermore, I am sensing that he is maximizing his sub clan’s political and economical dominance over the others, If I am right that will pose a great danger to all stakeholders of PL, and be reminded, including perpetuators. In the case in point, natural resources should be explored in any given area only and only after proper and legal ways are satisfied.
  10. Maakhir, give the General enough time for digestion of the unfolding saga.
  11. Is it visible that arms embargo of somalia be exhausted?
  12. Siyaasadda Naca ku Qotonta ee Hoggaanka Xisbiga UCID Yuusuf Waaberi [16/03/06] Tan iyo intii dagaalada sokeeye ka bilaabmeen Soomaaliya waxa xalaaloobay waxa loo yaqaanno naca (Hate). Waxa shacabka la dhex dhigay qabyaalad aan hore loo arag. Mudadaas waxa soo baxay niman isku sheegga siyaasiyiin, hase yeeshee, waxa keliya ee malaha ay yaqaannaan uu yahay anaggoo reer hebel ah iyo in Soomaalida kale faraha ay ku fiiqaan. Waa tii hore loo yidhi: “wixii kalaa lagaa caawiyaa cidi ku siisaaye, calankaa jeb waa hoggaankoo caajis kaa galaye. Maqaalkan waxa aan jecelahay in aan si kooban ugu soo qaato xisbiga Ucid oo ah xisbiga 3aad ee Somaliland oo qiyaastayda safka koowaad kaga jira beerista, buunbuuninta iyo kala geynta qabaa’ilka Soomaaliyeed. Xisbigaas waxa hogaamiya Faysal Cali Waraabe, waxaana xoghaye ka ah Axmed M. Geeddi (Sanjab). Qoraalkan oo dhan ka daalaco halkan
  13. Somalipride, I guess you missed the essence of Mr. Maakhir's point. Neither you nor I need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that Mr. Adde has been a weak leader from the get, go who failed miserably his people and region(PL). It is such times, when the defenseless is defended, I go mad. Suldaan sxb sheekadaadu ma kud ka guur oo qanjo u guur baa, Ilaahay ha idiin barakeeyo maamulka aad samaysateen, dadka Puntland dhisay si open ah bay uga hadlaan wixii ay dhibaato u arkaan ee milil dushii ma dhayaan sidii noo kale, waynu ognahay reeraha dega xagga galbeedka ee maamulkiina inay ku tagri falaan awooda maamulkiina, xikmad badanise kuma jirto inaan kula tirsado ee bal horta intaa qabso. Back to the case in point, Sanaag people have the intellectual capacity and the resource to mobilize their strength and energy for the well being of their citizens. Furthermore, they have to safeguard and protect the divinely entrusted natural resources in their habitat. Apparently, PL is on the brick of disintegration on due course IF Adde's egocentrism, and clannish politic are not tackled in a timely manner, co-founders of PL should share the wealth and the power of PL evenly and in proportion, wixii intaa ka soo hadha waxay i xasuusinaysaa heestii ahayd; shimbirayahow heesa, heesa heesa heeesa, hees wanaagsan heesa, halkan soo fadhiista, kaalaya hortayda
  14. Castro thanks for the piece, let it be remembered that the so-called international institutions, be it IMF or World Bank, it is a doctrine in which its genesis was to sustain infinitely the dominance of the developed world over the developing nations, that is why Argentine had struck a deal with IMF of paying back all its depth in relatively short time, Brazil is also pursuing the same kind of deal. I believe the developing nations will never be free as long as they owe so much to the developed world. Regarding on this issue, inaction is not an option.
  15. The current piece of WDN's editorial is worth reading because it brings to the surface the complexity of Somali tragedy that stricken particularly on the weak, defenseless, children, women and the orphans. Furthermore, it challenges the TFG’s weak position of not taking care of its subjects and the negligence of the international goverments and NGOs. Somalis are not the first people who failed in human annals but they must be the first homogeneous people who may have a hard time, a such a long time, of sorting out their differences in a peaceful manner. 16. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out, halka ay doqonimadu inaga gaadhay, indha la'aan aynu kaaba qabiiladeena iskaga daba dhimano, Qabiilkii oo aynu diin ka dhiganay, In all account we are truely failed people, yet some of us are ignoring the reality, Rabbow noo sahal.
  17. The President's days are numbered, unfortunately as long as Mohamed Dheere, Yalaxow and the likes are in his government nothing significant I do expect from him.
  18. I am tempting to explain briefly about the article dubbed Land of Punt: after I read this article I noticed that Mr. Dholey is an experienced figure about the region and he has been observing quite sometime the deteriorating situation of the autonomous state of Puntland, be it in terms of corruption or malfunctioning economies. The author stresses that, regardless of how hard people try them(clan systems) or how long they survive, clan based systems will eventually crumble on due course. However, clan based systems can be a good catalyst in the transient period of the formation of national government I think if handled it carefully. Puntland has to be competitive I mean, it has to reconsider and re-examine its failures of not delivering its promises, not improving the life standards of its citizens, lacking of being transparent. The author alludes sincerely that Puntland has the resource and the qualified people who are capable of squaring all outstanding issues of the State if the opportunity is given to them. Enjoy reading the below article Land of Punt: Grassroots factor to security and economic development approach Mohammed Elmi (Dholey) March 16, 2006 Designated as the land of primal trading ties with the ancient civilization of Egypt, Land of Punt still keeps its distinctive characterization of trade in the Red Sea. Here in Sanaag and Bari regions of Somalia the Pharaohs used to come and purchase a variety of commodities such as frankincense and myrrh that were sold to them by the local dynasties. Until today, frankincense and myrrh yield more returns for the economic sector of Puntland state. Exports of livestock earnings, remittances, humanitarian aid, and small subsistence farming around Galgala district have also proved to be the principal sources of income. With its vibrant emporium, Bossaso, Puntand, in its de facto state power, has been able to raise taxes (Real Estate, and Private Businesses) and charge levies on imported goods thus swelling its reserve for the treasury. This has afforded it to create public services (limited only to few districts) and maintain instruments for security provision, thereby improving the relationship between the regional state and the people. 19. It has to get worse before it gets better.
  20. Thanks Sophist, The good news is that Islam has more new converts than departures, therefore if you put these so-called rebellions’ into the equation, it becomes apparent that they are harmless and should not be given an awareness that they don't deserve.
  21. The sort of peace, self-governing, serenity achieved by Hargeisa administration thus far are not in question in my opinion because they are something that the deaf can hear and the blind can see but what is beyond imagination is what kind of benefit expected from this fruitless, elusive recognition, heavily invested with human life and material wealth
