Since, you clearly stated how the two theories interplay, as one exists and the other steps aside, in different phases of building a logical trace of lifes origin. In addition, you surprise me when you said I think you misinterpreted my last post or I did a crappy job of explaining myself. Would you mix water and oil? Of course not. Why not? Cause you know that they don't mix. The same with religion and Science. What I was trying to say was that there are subject areas that science should leave to religion. Such subjects as the nature of God, afterlife, ontology, metaphysical...science has nothing to say about these subject. Religion should do the same thing and leave science related subjects to science. Think of religion and science as two trains heading in the same direction, on two parallel tracks that zigzag each other many times. Both trains are doing good service, providing transportation. Both are working for the same subject -- Humanity. Both must remain aware of each other so as to yeild right of way to the other for the inevitable intersections that lay ahead and avoid collisions. But it would unwise, nigh, irresponsible for both trains to ignore and not give the right of way to the other where the two parallel tracks they're on intersect. Otherwise you got a problem, a BIG problem! Science and religion shouldn't be mixed just like oil and water. Both science and religion are working and competing for the same audience but are selling different messages. Why enmesh the two? It makes no sense to me. ID is NOT a science theory, it is theological theory. Which is fine. I only wonder why lace it with psuedoscience and hogwash arguements. Why not come out and say I'm selling a different message from Evolution theory and here is what it is? Examine for yourself.
  2. Originally posted by NomadicQueen: First off there is no clear scientific explanation for how we came to be, I think we all agree on this, otherwise we wouldn't be typing. Wrong! There IS scientific explanation how we came to be. It is called Evolution Theory. How the first living organism came into existance is explained by Abiogenesis theory, look it up. Secondly, WE ARE MUSLIM! We understand and most importantly ACCEPT! that there are always going to be questions that will NEVER! be answered, at least not in life. What questions? If we don't know the answer to a question, it means we don't know the answer for the time being. We might discover the answer in some future date or not. But can we say this or that question will never have an answer? I don't think so. You will find your predecessors there debating over things they do nothing about. You can sit at there feet with a cappuccino and soak up the plethora of knowledge they have to offer. Dont have a ride home? No worries, an army of taxis await you in the parking lot, just one of the many perks of being such a smart Faarax. Lol! I rarely go starbucks (we have Tim Hortans here in Canada but hate the place ). I don't know about others but this Nomad knows Evolution Theory inside out.

It is only your opinion, which counts for nothing. According to the UN and international community, Isreal exists. Get over it! BTW, you haven't presented coherent arguement why 'Isreal' doesn't exist.
  4. Modesty, What? maxaa dhahthey  Sharmarkee, You can catalogue all the countries the US invaded, regimes it overthrew, coup detats it orchestrated, people it enslaved, displaced, disenfranchised...but what is that prove? That america is no different from all the other empires that pre-dated it? Or are you suggesting the US is special case? I like to know what your reasoning was behind your post.

So the question is how to reconcile the evolution of humans and that of other animals. We aren't descendents of Neanderthals cuz they are side group that splintered off from our ancestors. All modern humans have a single, common ancestor. According to Evolution Theory, the evolution of humans and animals are one and the same.
  7. Originally posted by IGaDaaRiwaaYada: Creationism theory shouldn’t compare with Darwin's theory "Evolution theory". It shouldn’t be said if this is right the other one is wrong or vase versa. However, I believe they can go hand on hand. Salaam, I disagree, they can NEVER go hand in hand. The two theories provide two mutually exclusive, irreconcilable explanations for the history of man and living organisms. Where is the middle ground? One theory makes falsifiable predictions and hypothesis, the other (Creation) doesn't even have a hypothesis or make any predictions. It is not theory in the traditional sense with hypothesis and testable, falsifiable predictions. Science, relying on the Scientific Method, has done wonders in the last few hundreds years, why enmesh religion now? Why the sudden doubt of science? Do ppl doubt science when they flick a light switch, dail their cell phones, drive their cars, take an NMR Scan or the gazillion other science related modern devices they use on daily basis? I doubt it, so what is the justification for this doubt of science and calls to bring religion into the fray? The simple truth is, as far as science theories go, Evolution Theory is well supported. Not only that Evolution is a FACT -- an observable, predictable, testable fact. I believe science and religion can and MUST co-exist in harmony but only if each is kept in its rightful place. Religion IS a private matter -- for the individual --, science is for all (if science discovers the cure to cancer tomorrow, every1 benefits regardless of faith). There will certainly be frictions, this Creation vs Evolution debate is a good example. But all those involved in the debate and those watching on the sidelines must keep an open mind, look at the all the evidence, the objective, unadulterated historical record, eschew all pre-concieved convictions...then come to a decision. In my view, too many ppl are dismissing Evolution Theory as false on the premise it doesn't have God in the picture or dismissing Creation theory because it is not 'scientific.' I think each theory has its strengths and weaknesses. It is about knowing what those strengths and weaknesses are and finding out what mirrors your believes the best. When the debate becomes about the metaphysical, ontological, creation of first living organism and similar topics...Evolution Theory must -- rightfully -- exist the ring. Conversely, when the debate is about the biology of living organisms, Creation Theory must step aside. It is not one or the other, which is right or which is wrong, it is about knowing when not to step on the other's toe. It is about avoiding unnecessary and undesired friction. That is what this Creation vs Evolution debate should be about. Not which is right or wrong. Such debate will never come to an end for the simple and self-evident reason that the two sides are like blind man talking to a deaf man. One is armed with facts, demonstrable facts and testable predictions. The other has the word of God. A recipe for endless circular debate.

Explain to me whats happening, werent you supposed to not lose a single game whole season? Isn't your second string, with the likes of robben and gudjohnson supposed to take care of struggling minnows such as betis. This is all too predictable, if you ask me. oh look what we have here. A hater! Chelsea are invisibles even if they lose every game from now on. Why? Cause Allah said so, they're God's chosen team. Get over it, whatever team you support will definitely have fewer trophies at the end of the season. Every team goes through rough patches but chelsea are in different domain -- they're divine carried on the wings of God's angels to withering heights that dazzle and razzle onlookers. Be greatful that you live in such time as now! BTW, stick around till the end of the season if you're man enough. I dare you, I wanna see if you still got that snicker on your face.

FYI, I'm long time card carrying, die-hard neo-con veteran. I have the wounds to prove it. I'm as real as they come. I guess you could say I'm somalia's first neo-con. I was a neo-con before I was born! Bush should have invaded that Ayatollacry (Ooops Iran ) after he overthrew Saddam 'the Butcher of Baghdad.' I think this is just a short respite, ya know time to heal the wounds, strengthen forces and allies. Rest assured we WILL overthrow that autocracy and free the Iranian ppl from the clutches of tyranny. Our Holy Crusade is still on the march albeit to different beat. It's chic to be neo-can nowdays Afterwards, we'll get rid of the UN and replace it with UD -- United democracy. We intend to build a world of democracies where the non-democratic nations will be our NATURAL enemies. Which side are you on?

Don't ask me why.
  14. Isn't this haram? Where are the Sharia ppl when you need them? Foxy, edab yeelo...don't bring such thoughts to our xalimos. We love them as they are, they're God's chosen women. They're flawless, perfect. The epitome of beauty. Besides we faraxs don't want them at the gym 60 hr a week.

I found the British people are more educated in their knowledge of other cultures and religions than Americans, thanks to the British Media. Don't pretend you just fell from the sky. Americans didn't become 'unfriendly' to Islam and muslims for no reason. Things don't happen in a vacuum. Strong emotions like 'hate' or extreme dislike of others don't take hold overnight for no reason. Three thousand of their ppl including many muslims were massacred in NYC in 2001, did you forget? Personally, I don't think americans hate Islam for religious or other reasons. They don't understand Islam and muslims. Just like they don't understand much of the world. This is what drives their ignorant and hostile attitude towards Islam -- its veracity open to debate. But the problem is further compounded by the Islamic terrorists like Al Quida and others who repeatedly vowed to bring woe to americans. They are afraid and naturally aren't as welcoming or understanding of muslims and Islam. And their media doesn't help given their propensity for sensationalism and lack of prioritization and contextualization of stories. Lets put things in perspective and in proper context, shall we? I can rationalise american attitudes vis-a-vis Islam and muslims but I can't understand why some muslims pretend they just fell from the sky, totally oblivious of recent world history and claim to be bemused and dumbfounded by america's beef with Islam. To me it seems such ppl are not only lying to themselve but perhaps lack firm grip on reality.

  18. Kaat should never be banned! It is rite of passage for most somali males anyways and taking away this inharent, wonderous, life enriching, God given right is to take away life itself. Literally! I say Kaat should be legalized and even go step further and make it mandatory (well...not strictly, lose enforcement will do) for every somali male that reachs puberty to chew the magical plant at least once. I don't chew qaat (not regularly) but I have friends and relatives who do. I've seen the smile and happiness in their faces in stark contrast to the dour and glum faces when not chewing qaat. Now, why would you wanna make ppl unhappy? After qaat is legalized, alcohol should be next. I haven't decided on brothels yet. I don't think strumpets will cause too much harm
  19. What is the subject of this thread?
  20. Acuudu billah! This is the kind of filth that must be barred for good from SOLnet For heaven's sake, we got kids browsing! Don't you have no shame you opprobrious one?
  21. Not a smart move by a leader of a major nation. World leaders -- unless they wanna commit diplomatic suicide -- don't make public statements calling for the annahilation another country AND its ppl. It is not the sort of talk you expect to hear from 'responsible' leaders. What has his talk achieved but attract unwanted attention to his country in addition to raising doubts about his judgement in the minds of those who still aren't sure what to make of him(if he's making blunders like this, can he be trusted to preside over a nuclear nation -- assuming Iran acquires nukes within the next couple of years?).
  22. My condolences Zu. May Allah grant him jannah.
  23. Alla-ubaahne (you certainly do ), Who runs SOLnet? Me and my cabal. Fickle my hackles and I'll unleash my very loyal army (the jaajuus) on you. Now, when are you gonna answer my questions. You know...about the cockfighting and midget throwing as halal sports. I still haven't recieved satisfactory reply.
