Nin-Yaaban. Most black people (I am assuming you are talking about African Americans) wouldn't go to Africa simply their home is these United States, not Africa. Ayan is reaping the benefits of African American struggle. She didn't go through slavery, Jim Crow, civil rights, war on drugs, etc. In fact, if she was here 50 years ago, she wouldn't have been served at a restaurant or get room at hotel. We are here because African Americans made price for freedoms minorities enjoy. African Americans were not given anything, they TOOK IT! BTW, the idea that African Americans will not go back to Africa was a way to justify slavery. In fact, whites of the past and some in the present argue blacks should be grateful that were brought here in chains. P.s.
