That is me which is why i've resorted to the pill popping, lol. Aaliyah- castor oil is supposed to be great for hair but how do you deal with the excessive greasiness? Raula- I too was in the health field and i would forever put a health spin on abbreviations, lool. That said though i didn't make the connection with the MSM,lool. Waves@ Lily and Serenity.

I was chuffed with myself (as i'm sure most kids would be) and took it to my father expecting that i would at least get a congrats. Nope, not my math genius father- his response "what happened to the other 1%" - in english too, lool.
  3. Chubacka thanks for sharing- interesting read. Blessed, You're right- quality does not always mean pricey but in most cases it does. I recently bought shoes for my children and despite the small size of their feet, their shoes were essentially the same price as adult shoes. The other thing is that clothes made of quality fabrics such as pure cotton, pure wool, linen etc always cost more so despite wanting to save you find yourself spending more because you're looking for quality. The other thing i find which is problematic is that because you don't want your children to be left out, you find yourself feeling the pressure that way and buying items you wouldn't otherwise buy.
  4. ^ 300 mcg of biotin is a very conservative dose- no chance of toxicity at this level. But yes you are right- healthy hair and nails is best achieved by a healthy lifestyle which is often easier said than done. Sometimes popping a few pills with no real side effects at those doses makes it easier.
  5. Fact: Amongst other health issues Khat can lead to impotence.
  6. Great ideas guys- thanks for sharing. That said though initial stages of concentration should be Education (first and foremost) and primary health care.
  7. ^Going by our track record (i.e. how we have allowed the pollution of our seas)- i doubt it. We might as well get ready for the second wave of colonialism.
  8. May Allah have mercy upon those who lost their lives. May He bring peace to the area. Oba- you should be ashamed of yourself mate, this isn't a school yard fight, fellow muslims lost their lives. As for the cyber warlords- ilaahay ha idiin soo hadeeyo.
  9. ^ I couldn't find any evidence of long term side effects. I always take them now along with my Vitamin D. Blessed- I feel you walaahi but for me it was after the kids, my hair became brittle but alhamdullilah i've noticed a significant difference with these two. I take 300mcg of biotin and 3000mg of MSM per day- they are separate.
  10. NG- i'm in a line of work where i have to deal with hound dogs from the Federal Government so no place for mistakes.....at least not until i buy myself a house after which i'll definitely put your tips into action. Do you bark at them for the mistakes?
  11. NG- As a control freak i hate delegating, any tips? Juxa- as a fellow Somali sujui i think my counterpart Khayr meant to say ku lahaa. Why do i feel that i've just embarrassed myself?

    Today I....

And here i was thinking that they were a bollywood like affair. As for the uncertain times- hopefully it all pans out just the way you want it to. Today i got yelled at by a real estate agent, I'm going to visit her tomorrow.

  17. Salaams Ladies, I've discovered the secrets to strong nails and hair: 1. MSM 2. Biotin Combine the two and it is a miracle- tested it myself and in six weeks my nails and hair are in the best condition since children.

Sayid*Somal;920019 wrote: Rahima - that post wasn't directed at you - I already know qalanjo qabiil ma leh That question was directed at Stoic (of the useless sujui clan) and Ngonge (casiir drinking carab) Oh my Sayid did you really have to go there? I've had a very long day but i tell you mate if it was a weekend you would have to start preparing for all out war.
  20. NG, In the absence of empirical evidence i have no choice but to go by my experiences. The people of Somalia, not necessarily the decision makers but the average person trying to live cares little for clan- at least that is what i noticed. Generally, way naga qalbi fiican yihiin on this matter. As for the use of clan it should stop with what Allah intended for it. As soon as it goes beyond its intended purpose of identity and to achieve collective good it should be abandoned.
  21. ^ Alhamdullilah yes, if i could erase it i would- true story. As a young child watching another sad news clip of the Somali civil war i remember asking my mother if i could become Quraish because there was something wrong with Somali clans.
  22. Xiin, This article is full of double standards and the author holds a very specific viewpoint (and not about the lifting of the arms embargo). So yes, you did do more than just posting an article. To top it all off you post this article on the back of some very strong opinions in the other thread thereby creating a specific picture of where you stand (or at least seemingly). As for the political culture of our people, oppose it in its entirety and stop being biased if you want others to see your objections as genuine. Demand the return of looted properties because it is just and oppose the lifting of the arms embargo because it is not in the national interest. As for the rest of it you should clean your hands from it- it isn’t a good look. Finally, waxaan ka xanaaqay Xiin is that someone such as yourself (someone that I would generally describe as intelligent and Islamically conscious) would express the views that you did- your clan and the clan you oppose matter not- and you also know that I mean that. NG, I acknowledge that national reconciliation needs to happen, but it must be in the form of creating a sense of Somalinimo in our people- not stroking the bald patches of the clan elders. As for the people of Somalia, most people who have been to Somalia in the last ten or so years will tell you that from Boosaaso to Kismaayo people are fed up with clan and qof walba dantiisa ayuu wataa. I’m sure that sick individuals who have been living comfortably for the last 20 years coined this 4.5 BS.
  23. ^ You learn something new every day, Geenya- that is a first.
  24. Day 2: Fire out, weather cold to the point that i now have the heater on. Melbourne is confusing my inner thermostat. AfricaOwn- believe you me the freeze of the northern hemisphere is better than the hot summers of down under. Thanks for the duas fellow nomads.
  25. ^ I do get it Blessed , just making an observation about that particular animal. I mean honestly, of all the animals possible, an elephant?
