  2. It is our chance to finally get a central government, and just because it was Abdulahi Yusuf that came out as president does not mean we declare the government null and void. [/QB] Exactly, but you also need reminding not to cout your chickens untill they hatch, after all it is 'wax ay dad isku dhobdhobeen'

  5. Originally posted by SmithNwestern: Rahima, he was born in Galkacyu to a well off family who kept the date of his birth. Maybe your parents dont know when they where born but his did. yeah, you forgot to mention they also had a satelite-dish hanging by the 'waab' so they could watch latest blockbusters movies...
  6. Originally posted by Rahima: Brother do you not understand that there is more to this than CY? Irrespective of what anyone might think of him, this is a chance for Somalia and all Somalis. Let’s keep this in mind and be hopeful......... At this point in time, a true Somali will hope for the best and not let their views of any leader cloud their judgment, to do so will only highlight that which may seem as obvious. Why is it a chance now and never before Rahima? And this is a question for Rahima not for the fanatic supporters of Colonel Yeey, ok. How do you come to such conclussions Rahima? Or you endorsing the fact that it is only Coloneel yeey who can do something for Somalia while the rest are incapable? Could it not be possible that there are those who could oppose his presidency same wa as he opposed the outcome of Arta? And Rahiima... I very much doubt that CY or any MP will sell out their fellow Somalis- not because they’re decent god-fearing individuals but because they know of the consequences if they do. please sis spare us this cheap patronising of the Colonel and his supporters. Above anything we know he was never 'decent God fearing individual', but now since being elected we hope he has changed colours.
  7. I think JB was clear on his point regarding C/llahi, in his opening text to this thread JB said : The wrong person was picked by currupt and illiterate MPs? what do you THINK? Now which part of above did you not understand Muraad? Or is it may you cannot envisage an opposition to the 'elected' president..?
  8. ^^Lets just hope they welcome him, for the sake of sanity.

Thanks in Advance Please accept his appeal and delete it...cause it simply does not make a sense at all. I'm trying to figure out where the poem is heading to and the underlying meaning but it comes to nothing and goes no where. Na wewe Raula am still waiting since last ramadan and you are dishing out offers left and right, and dont forget no garisa for me , afadali Bungoma, Kitale or Busia. Wenye gamia mi si fahamu.
  10. For Kibaki to give a Benz he must have made a 'big ugali' along the way. Genorousity is not in the vocabularly of a 'atarere' president.
  11. It will entirely depend on the approach and tact President C/llahi makes and chooses as the seat of his government and parliament. I hope his tact is as good as the one he used to win the presidency. His speech yesterday at the Kenya State House in the presence of President Kibaki and others who vied with him the position, President C/llahi was very reconcialiatory. And it was good. Cause if anyone, it is him who does not want his government to face the same as those previous than him.he obviously does not want his government to be supported in some corners and not others.Hence in his speech he reached out to all and that is the approach he will take. There is nothing called 'pay-back' or revenge I assume. The government is one of reconciliation, am sure he is capable of fulfilling the task with the enormus experience he has.
  12. Originally posted by HornAfrique: I mean why do they call him beer-laawe ? How did he lose his beer ? He refused to hang the Ethiopian flag over Goldogob, and instead hanged the Somali one, although he was in the most vulnerable position at that time. I remember during Barre's regime that he was made part of history as being named the 14th member of the the youths who created the SYL....now why did I come up with this? As for the Ethiopia and its connection with the President C/llahi Yusuf we will see how it develops and reacts, but we can never deny it exists.
  13. ^^^ And I dont remember asking you...but let me clarify something to you, I was one of the sore loosers last nite, but I accept the result and hope for the best Inshallah. What is the difference between you and me?
  14. Originally posted by SmithNwestern: Hobyonet are sore at the loss of the election. It shows a sense of claiming victory solely, doesn't it? Or are you implying that since the final looser was Addow and thus his clan relation with Hobyoney calssifies them as being sore loosers and should not have a glimer of hope. Am sory if I misunderstood you but you came across in such a way. Please dont spoil the mood of the outcome of Nairobi and dont associate it with only one corner but as a first step of better things to come for all Somalis whether from Hobyo, Hargeisa, Mogadishu..etc.
  15. Some of you thought I will come back here bitter, but am happy tonite tonite though not the happiest . The difference between sanity and insane, the difference between civilised and uncivilised is accepting a popular and majority decission even if it was not your ideal. Hence with deep appreciation of the birth of a Somali nation tonite I sincerley and with high esteem congratulate our new President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed. I pray to Allah SWT to grant him the wisdom and ability to steer our Nation from disarray and anarchy to peaceful and stability..amiin! It is a new era that requires if anything our utmost support. Somalis now need to unite behind the new legislative council and the new president and put aside their differences and squabbles for the betterment of the Nation. Anyone who is not hopeful tonite is by nature pessimistic. So cheer and gracefully accept the blessings and prepare for the long struggle ahead. I pray that the feelings am feeling tonite are shared mostly by my compatriots. Manta Manta wa malin weyne Manta

  18. Og-Moti sxb I can see the Syria syndrome has reached you. You dont need to go Via Syria to get to Kuwait from Cambodia saxiib, and we are not buying cheap tickets excuse. It is common nowdays that men from our folk go to Syria to get hitched to our woman folks who have all of a sudden appeared in Syria and are more receptive and obedient than our westernised girls. The planes to Syria from London, Amsterdam, Toronto, USA name it anywhere in the western World is full and u need to book it in advance, I did not know it was the same from cambodia to Damuscuss. Wish you luck mate am still trying my luck through correspondence....
  19. You are right, but the question is are the American people moderate? NO.
