I see that there is a lot of wise people that have abandoned SOL, for no obvious reasons. It's interesting isn't it. There are alternative versions of it where the non blind man wishes the other man dead but simply goes to sleep to find him dead the next morning and gone and some where he does not wish him dead but just becomes annoyed with him. There are some versions he just wishes he can get to the window really badly and thinks no evil thoughts of the other man but after his death finds the above out. In whichever version is told, the inspirational theme as I have presented is the same and it is food for thought reminding you not to envy others and to remember all we do as humans can have positive or negative effects not just on us but others.
