  1. http://allafrica.com/stories/201701190274.html The ethiopian line was obvious, they want CULUSOOW desperately. I think SHarif Ahmed and Farmajo both have a good chance.
  2. Haatu, there is no silver bullet to these global issues, not easy fix, and most of those talks are HOT air, sound very promising, but very unpractical!
  3. ElPunto, you are right about the current mob, the main thing I believe is complete loss of system, which will take ages, whereas people in 1960s, have not faced anything like that happen in last 30 years, it is like REAL Mad Max. Also, a lot of good and talented people are not tempted to join the dirty It will happen but will take time to get where we were in 1960s, specially with young people coming, it is small changes, but there is a hope, and Insha Allah, the biggest hope and change, an enabler, maybe who comes to office next. It is like one step forward, two step back ward..
  4. A lot of Money, and no doubt in mind Dahabshil is involved shady business, but this ALasow is millions times worse! But Alasow is worse kinda human, unbelievable low character, he is by product of Moryaan/Qaaduc Dariiq/Jiri, and and bit of IT/ a small bit of Journalism, a bit of fake nationalism, and all the DAHABSHIL issue was extort money, nothing less. Orodoo shaqa tag dheh! Is Moryaan Journalism. He is like Dayniile news, I am not sure if it still operates, zero ethics, and very rotten QABIILIST! Another one, that many don't suspect is Amir Amir, what kinda artists, gets paid to paint a political satire, to destroy politically someone he does not know, because someone pays him? and I have contacted Amir, to ask him , how much he takes to paint anything, and he was willing to do anything, it was just test! all he cares is money, zero ethics, and disguises himself with few maybe honest cartoons. most of it is pay for play.
  5. Seriously, Canada is a great place. Well done and Congrats Ahmed, it is great news for Somalis, agreat acheivement, and next target First minister/Prime Minister, which is possible!
  6. Waxba yaan la inoo buun buunin, bahashu, xaga hore bay ka qaloocatey, yeelkeeda ha iska soo gurguuratee sida wada ma badan, meel fiican bay iman lahayd hadaan inqilaabkii dhicin, iyo jabhadii ku kacay oo khaayimul wadan wada ahaa!
  7. It should be tried, and Welcome it, but am bit sceptical, for one I know in SOMALIA we have way too many camels, which danger the environment. This study I reckon does not the address overpopulation and overgrazing!!
  8. OMG, that is cheap, really, what is going on? It should be worth billions!! what is the desperation?
  9. With Abdiweli Gas, and many somali Leaders, the answer is not that he is educated with PhD, and harvard Educated, that is part of the puzzle, but , we need people with experience, and learned, and has strong leadership qualities, not just education. This guy he got rid off, was very unique, and would say to Gas, Candhoofada dib u leg, Qabka iska dhaaf, nikaasna booskiisii ku soo celi. As for the Nomads, the bigger problem is realising the problem, and then looking for solution, and this can be done with orientation, training, Siyad Barre attempted but failed . During similar draught in 1970s, government moved many families and introduced fishing/farming in South, but after the rain came, majority run away back to the rural life. Some even resisted thought government was uprooting from their land and depopulating them, and may have contributed to the civil war. These people are very uneducated and very scared of change. China recently moved 320 million rural by force, to urban centres, they built for them.
  10. RIP, Never heard of him, Thousands of these Somalis were given citizenship by Tanzania, few years ago. Somalis should self reflect, they are as racist as white supremacy, and don't know about it
  11. 1000s of these water catchment could be built, without corruption, and with good leaders who care for their people, The only catch is continues rain, else more water will get evaporated by sun, than used by people. I also believe the nomadic/rural people, which are majority of Somalis, need a change, complete change of way of life, and don't need being always at the mercy of good grazing grounds, rain. The answer is simple, we don't need t re-invent the wheel, urbanization, and job creation,or staying put one place, and farming. This is not easy, a radical change the way people live, very hard to establish a change like this, with climate change, desertification, and less rain, governments should focus on making sure these people don't chase all their lives rain, but settle some where, and form communities, groundwater, water catchment, schools, educations, basic veterinary and healthcare, upskiling.
  12. A bunch of idiots, with sense of entitlements, they forget what makes America superpower is multi ethnics, as some you pointed, with Jewish people, Indians, Africans , Hispanics etc It is true, America is changing demographically, and this will scare the hell out of some.
  13. Yeah, btw I think if you get an opportunity, to make a difference, even it is small, You should go, and join like minded minority people there. Changing the culture will take time. Sadik Warfaa is in! we need more people like him
  14. ^You forget KSA, 70% of livestock goes there! I doubt this would be highly possible, Russia is a myth, is shadow of what it used to be, can never return, nor does it have the financial strength. China, may be!
  15. Update!!! 1-DNA kit received 2-Mailed back and on the way back to the lab!
  16. I agree on most of the things you wrote, and you are on the mark. People like Sharif Sakin should never be trusted with public office, and I believe since people like him are around, TUUG dhacaayey oo Hogaaminaaya, things will not improve. He is kinda DON of mafia, I thought in 2012, in la hoos dhigay Jawaare, if he could get consensus from his community not to run for Speaker, he has a chance as anyone else, in other full blocks, and very possible he becomes the new president or Prime Minister. Somalia is a country where the frauders and bad apples leading the herd, where Afmishaar, Tuug, Imaan laawe are preferred over decent people who want to make changes. Farmaajo I seriously believe , along with Abdiweli YUULKA were one the few men who make small victories, small changes against BIG tasks, almost impossible issues, systemic Corruption, cultural and moral erosion. And again the only people who will change SOMALIA are those who still want to make change , however difficult. I was watching an interview of SHarif Ahmed, the former SOMALI president , and thought maybe this can learned something, while he was away in America studying English, and maybe a bit of governance, A young man asked him, "if you become again a president , what will you do with those who are very corrupt and stealing the national assets" his response was very naive, "He said, iLLaah aa la xisaabtami, aakhirona waa ka danbeeysa? This made me think this dude has not learnt anything. He is the the same, very incompetent. with strong rule of law, and strong judicial system that enforces the law, with punishment, deterrent, jail term, for those convicted, that should be the way, Aakhiro hadeey garanayaan ma wax beey dhaci lahaayeen markii hore!! SOMALI sharci shaqeeynaaya iyo SHANta bay ka danbeeyaan. Somalia needs those who can deliver with small incremental victories, si ay wadada usoo fuusho, and this selection in 2016 is another opportunity but very small chance, good will out of it, and if turns to be like 2012, then another 4 years wasted, Jug JUg meesha joog!
  17. It is because when people are blinded by tribalism, that they can't realise they are all victims , even those protecting them and following them with blind faith. DHibanaha dhacan oo aan is ogeeyn!! waxaan xusuusta reporta aan ka Akhriyey, noocyada corruption ka, from UN, ka ugu xumi, waa when corruption becomes systemic, and unrecognisable, the norm, Kuwa dhacani aynaba gareeyn waxan lagu sameeynaayo in uu yahay musuqmaasaq, iyagoo dhacan iska dhoola cadeeynayaan.
  18. Thanks Blue that is great. I also think it would be great not test only living DNA, but have those people buried in SOMALIA, , those like 1000s years ago, if DNA is preserved, that way you map their movement. It is done a lot in Europe, from Vikings, to Neanderthals. For security reasons, that is not possible in Somalia now.
  19. Blue, got your message. Test is underway! Will post the result soon!!!!!
  20. Hmm! no surprise, no middle eastern grandma, maybe Paternal DNA and Maternal is different, and ofcourse different lineage. Since only boys can get Y chromosome, the North African gene, is Paternal, will only be found in Somali Males. 21. Blue, I have received the kit, not one, but ordered two, with 20% discount, but not sent my saliva specimen yet. There is a problem, a legal problem, where I am , I have to fully disclosure my full health report to health and life insurer!! I wish I knew this before I ordered the kit, or 23and advised me about this, It is a problematic, and no matter what is in the report, could discriminated against!!
  22. UNBELIEVABLE! For years , people will wonder how this happen, and maybe many PhD thesis, I reckon, there are unknown factors, on human emotions, when people feel threatened, insecure, no matter how good they were, they resort back to their animalistic, selfish nature. Imagine 20% precent of Hispanics voting for him? One factor is for sure, Hillary was very uninspiring, and very corrupt, But if Trump delivers quarter of his promises, America is heading completely different direction.
