  2. What fadeexad?? These Puntlanders are deluded lol. Somaliland is not yet recognised by the international community and the Ethiopian government is just following the international protocol. Silaanyo not being part of the recognised heads of states neither changes Somaliland's status as an independent state nor alters our relationship with Ethiopia.

  4. Aaliyyah;862673 wrote: Lol@ few villages. ma abaha baa casharkan ku dhigey? LOL shame marlabaad bal ku dheh cashar sax ah isii. Khaatumo State is much more than few villages it is probably slightly larger than waqooyi galbeed province. As for the population horta no one counted precisely the population of your clan or mine but walahi no one cares if your clan is more in numbers than reer khaatumo or reer Awdal. So this whole idea of you are 90% or 50% of the population doesn't mean anything. No one gives even if that was even true, athough it is not even a fact and you are exaggerating. Somalis can also apply the same argument as you that other clans are much more than your one clan and therefore your clan should be forced to be part of Somalia. But, that wouldn't settle well with you would it. xoga caqliga ka shaqeesi. Bottom line, everyone has their rightful territories. One that they are entitled to. Yaan la isku xadgudbin As for your argument that if your clan reunites with the rest of Somalis there will be a civil war? let me point out that your claim of independent nation have also caused a civil war and havoc in your neighbors' territories a fact that a lot of you are aware of but simply chose to never discuss. Seriously, this continuous argument of "oh we are waiting for the south to get their s** together" won't sell and has no ground. Waqooyi galbeed province also needs to get its s*** together as well and leave its neighbors alone. People from Khaatumo and Awdal want nothing to do with your secession and support unity. Dulmi diidow dulmi doon ha noqon. Your self-appointed role as the spokeswoman for the people of Awdal makes me laugh. You are truly a comedian. I suggest you talk only for those legendary revellers .i.e., the VIPs of the dance floors in Western cities, the good customers of the land lords who rent out function halls, the notorious arsonists who ruined London's and Toronto's parks by cutting all the branches and leaves off their trees to “honour” countless shady cyber state politicians. Talk for those folks and NOT the Awdalites. That said, it is not us who run around claiming other's territories. The letters SSC are not used by my clan although they live in that area. In Somaliland every village, and town is controlled by its people. Do yourself a favour and go back home for a fact-finding mission. Such a trip might dispel your grand delusions.
  5. ^^ Just because you started to fancy Xamar nowadays does not mean others hate it. It is you who is confused Mr Alpha.
  6. The hunt should start for Al Shabaab's leaders now. They should be brought to justice for their barbaric actions during the great famine last year when they blocked aid agencies from helping the dying people.
  7. Masha Allah, UCID is changing for the better since Faysal's departure.
  8. The ridiculous 4.5 thing was probably devised by someone who does not hold even a high school diploma. It is totally unfair, backward, hinders progress, and entrenches the evil tribalism which plighted our society. Somalia's problems are not difficult to solve once and for all if there is the will to do it. All that is needed to form legitimate political institutions and a government is to take a census of the whole population, issue ID cards for every man, woman, and child; and then the central database to issue ballot papers to all those who are eligible to vote. Let every voter use his/her vote to chose whichever candidate they want instead of an uneducated, unelected, and an unaccountable bunch old self-appointed tribal chiefs deciding for them.

  10. ^^ Could you kindly tell us where our boundary with Somalia lies when it comes to language, literature, and culture as you so gleefully pointed out?

  12. The picture is depicting a typical rural house in India or Pakistan not Sudan. The simple life is hugely desirable when you get tired of the constant stresses and worries of today’s consumerist world but such a simple life comes with its fair share of disadvantages as well. Don't you guys think this scene reeks of sexism? I mean the wife should also be lazing around, doing nothing like the guy.
  13. ^^ I am in agreement with you here.

But what is the use of leaving a whole clan behind when you had already died and forgotten about? Your children and grandchildren may pray for you but honestly how many people remember their great grandfather?

  16. Would you rather have loads of kids who may not become educationally and financially successful, or fewer children to give all your attention and parental love to and as a result who might become very successful? And you have audacity to proclaim to the the world.... Why because of a bunch sheep were herded in a den and you chose one as the new servant of your african master.. Please let those that are free speak for you have none. When grow up and you free yourself from this. Un trusteeship and you have brains to walk on your own two kegs then somaliland will see you as an equal. But till then son dont suffocate in that arm bit that has become your liberty. That is harsh. Lets not insult each other but remind the chap that this time all the Somalilanders are busy praying for Somalia’s success and so have no time for anything else.
  20. If he goes back to Somaliland, I don't think the government or anyone else will have any legal grounds to bring him to justice as the general amnesty which was declared after the liberation of Somaliland applies to him too. But I cannot be sure about his safety as there are just too many victims of his heinous crimes willing to take revenge.

  22. If the Somali children find peace and a caring country like those in the more developed nations, many of them will realise their dreams and ambitions to become world leading scholars and entrepreneurs. They are not any less intelligent than their peers.

And yet you come into these threads with the audacity to discuss Islam!! Discussing about God and religion with you is indeed a waste of time.
  24. I always thought the Arabic script would suite Af Soomaali better as we share a lot of sounds like x, kh, etc with the Arabs. Other major languages like the Farsi and Urdu also use the Arabic script. The adoption of this script would surely increase our literacy rate.
