One opportunist, Samatar and a confessed thief Khaliif, along with Indhacade described by Jeremy Scahill of The Nation. JEREMY SCAHILL: Right. In my piece, "Blowback in Somalia," I sort of profile four different warlords that have played a major role in both Somali history and in the current situation . Indha Adde was the defense minister of the Islamic Courts Union and, prior to that, was basically just a ruthless, run-of-the-mill, thuggish warlord who controlled a number of territories and a port called the Merca port, and was accused of drug running and weapons trafficking, and then he sort of remade himself as an Islamic sheikh as the Islamic courts started to gain popularity. And he was—you know, he was one of the people that was leading the fight against the U.S.-backed Ethiopian invasion. And he realized, after the Islamic Courts Union had been overthrown, that he either needed to cast his lot with al-Shabab and join the insurgency against the U.S.-backed Ethiopian invasion and the U.S.-backed government, or he needed to flip sides. And so, what he did was he flipped sides, and he is now a three-star general in the Somali military. Miskiin, your kind have produced the best men in Somali history. http://www.democracynow.org/2011/10/5/somalia_blowback_after_deadly_mogadishu_bombing Constitution is going to get passed, good job PM.

Somaliland: Cigaal international airport gets massive uprgrade+PICTURES
Somalia replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
This isn't even a major expansion, can't even be defined as an expansion, this is more fail than the one about potholes and roads in Bosaso. Chimera;815437 wrote: As for our neighbours, they are well ahead of us, only Aden Adde International Airport's 150 million expansion will put us back on the regional aviation map. There was also an exciting announcement made in the past, that would see the Chinese completely modernize the Egal International Airport, but nothing was heard of this plan since That never happened. -
NGONGE;825720 wrote: PL will indeed try to seek independence the minute SL gets its recognition. They can't help themselves. You won't get recognition while Puntland is in Mogadishu, your realists have discovered this. However the road map fails then Puntland will meet you in the UN. @Qandalaawi, Xaaji think Puntland is in Mogadishu for the environment and money..

Qandalawi;825711 wrote: How so, and why do you think Somaliland can survive without. Also don't you think Puntland has survived without Mogadishu in the last two decades and have actually grown from little insignificant villages to big and booming cities. Do not introduce him to logic.

The dynamics of Galmudug politics is in my interest as a citizen of Galkacyo Puntland, it is also in my interest that it expands and becomes a fully fledged state and I believe a man like Qeybdiid has the experience to make it happen. He seems like a man who's the voice of reasoning all of a sudden. This leaves me to believe he wants to leave with a good legacy. That's the man needed.

AUN. This is a devastating blow to the Republic of Somaliland and the unification of the great central regions of Somalia. May they continue to prosper.

Xaaji Xunjuf;825583 wrote: Professor cali khalif galaydh is one of the best educated somali politicians, just because he rejects the garowe clan enclave that doesn't give you the right to insult him that goes for the ilma faroole. Sorry if we point out that this educated thief, is indeed ... a thief, a serial one at that.

Aaliyyah;825567 wrote: Somalia, No puntlanders talk about khaatumo? day in and day out those in the forum are insulting Cali Khalif and Khaatumo. No one needs the leaders of puntland to recognize khaatumo. Who gave them that power. Faroole needs to stop insulting khaatumo and concern himself with his piracy issues. Now I understand that you are seriously bipolar. We insult Khaliif. As for Faroole, is your hate that he hasn't recognized the movement or that he hasn't helped to regain Laascaanood? That's the real question here. If Faroole was to do either, it wouldn't be in anyone's long term interest.

Range Resources (RRL) and Red Emperor Resources (RMP) were two of the most popular buys for Interactive Investor's traders as the companies confirmed their drilling programme in Puntland remained on schedule. The drilling of Shabeel-1 was progressing as planned with a target depth (TD) of 3,800 metres, expected to be reached by mid-May. Sands in the Upper Cretaceous exhibited oil and gas shows, although attempts to sample formation fluids using a wire line formation tester were not successful. The zone will require cased hole testing to confirm whether they are oil bearing. Preparations to spud the next well, Shabeel-North, are on track. Range has also entered into an agreement with the Puntland government to acquire a 100% working interest in a "highly prospective" Nugaal Basin Offshore Block. "It is Range's intention to offer a participation interest to Red Emperor on terms to be agreed," the companies stated.

Aaliyyah;825561 wrote: Once every clan becomes politically aware and builds a state representative of itself then I assure you Puntland will no longer consider itself "good at politics", albeit this arrogant notion developed from free rides to the PM position with no strong challenges. Apparently you eat propaganda for breakfast so there is no point in trying to logically stem your rant. This story about Cali Khalif is easy for you to swallow given that thievery and piracy is an everyday occurrence in your region. Aaliyyah, no one from Puntland talks about Khaatumo, why do you feel the need to be obsessed with Puntland? What has Puntland done to you, because the leadership doesn't recognize your movement, why do you feel the need to somehow blame them for your failures? I don't care about Khaliif Galayr, I only responded to the fact that Faroole is purer than him, something you can't even object to. If your whole movement is lead by a self-confessed theif, cause remember it was one of those things he said when he was running for the TNG position, then good for you. As for your anti-Puntland threats, yes, Puntland is fearing Khaatumo's assistance cause Khaatumo movement must be the greatest one ever to have crossed Puntland's path! Get a grip, no one cares.

Aaliyyah;825556 wrote: your folks are always pointing a finger at Prof. Cali Khalif. Do you notice that four fingers are pointing back at you? You had several prime ministers who hailed from Puntland in the Somali government and have one presently. Are you insinuating that so much could have developed in Somalia's infrastructure if those prime ministers from Puntland were not crooks who are more in numbers than one man that held that position for one year. Now it is clear that the PM position is a money making revenue for thieves no wonder the Puntlanders are outraged that Cali Khlif was PM for one year you must have been deprived of one year's opportunity for more thieving. I now understand why Puntlanders are against Khaatumo's legitimacy you must think it will jeopardize Puntland's continued business in the swiping of Somali people's wealth. Now, everything adds up. Shekadu ma qodno , Ileen waxaad la wada karkarasaan. I don't care how many are from Puntland, are you blaming Puntland for being good at politics? I saw your previous comment as well, it's "please let us rule", who is stopping you? The problem with Khaliif the Thief has to do with how he tried to ruin the Puntland economy, a reason for which he tried to apologize to Abdullahi Yusuf a couple of months ago. He also stole in the 1980s, he's stolen his whole life. He's one of a kind. Puntland hasn't gained any money from the TFG illicitly, but Khalif Galaydh has, because again, he is a certified thief.

Traditional Elders Pouring Into Mogadishu To End the Transition
Somalia replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
Carafaat;825544 wrote: Transition will end anyway in august, irrelevent of what elders say. But the Tradtional elders have been flown in to approve a constitution that has not been published yet. I hope they get some time to read it or atleast someone reads it to the illiterate elders. You haven't even read it yourself.
