1. "Baroortu orgiga ka wayn", the real problem is not police killing unarmed civilians, its about civilians owning guns!...If I was a policeman in the states I will not take any chances for I could be easily shot, access to weaponry made the law enforcement vulnerable and their 'over-exaggerated' use of deadly force is justifiable. Just put yourself in their shoes. Compare it to countries where guns are strictly controlled, The UK for instance, police officers enjoy some sense of security, thus police shootings are rare. The other thing with black communities (not African-immigrant community to some extent) in the states is the use of "race card" in every situation.....A murderer is shot by a white policeman, the black community will only see a 'black brother shot by whites', I condone stereotyping and undoubtedly there are many cases with race as a motive, but, not every case is about race....Same goes for us Somalis and tribe!
2. "Khilaafo-Sheegatada, Islam-Ku qadhaabatada" who terrorize every human, Muslim or non Muslim, Every animal and Tree. They need certain conditions to flourish, same conditions that leads to anarchy in every place where order goes awry. full of Badouin Arabs with sub-standard education (if any) and outdated mentality. Empowered by political vacuum left by the Americans have rendered Iraq weak for such predators. I see him just as our naive Ina-Godane or Adam cayrow or even to some Sheikh sharif...having no background and suddenly rising to fame and becoming world wide figure, Lucky victories due to favorable circumstances or manipulated victories whatever it is, Baghdadi is just Another naive, Power-hungry Islamim-sheegato with much more wealth and power than previously known but as history taught us, just wait till all that starts crumbling by its weight from the inside.
3. Ahleen Mr. NGONGE, I thought many of the old lot retired, But they were just lurking (waxaad barato waa baaskaa, After decade of being on SOL you always find a way)...ku soo dhawaw Madasha cusub.
4. The kid showed signs of extremism and should have been handled gently by encouraging him to be more "Somali"....I have noticed that tough treatment of young men with extremist tendencies just lead to more hardened extremists.....Somaliland have chosen the lean approach against al-qaida sympathizers since Rayale's presidency and the results were favorable. Most Somali fathers don't know their children thus they are always surprised with the paths they choose. Arabs on the other hand are actively involved in their kid's lives, hence, children most of time end up emulating their parents. .... I am not blaming the gentleman, but the lifestyle he have been living the past years is catching up with him.

6. I don't usually feed on Conspiracy theories, but Considering the immense evidence I start to believe that many of the so called foreign Jihadists are bunch of CIA/MOSAD operatives...Our subject in the above is suspiciously unstable. First thing to do is change your name to ... Abuu-Someone(that don't exist)-Al-Soomaali..and commit every crime anonymously. A true Jihadist who is willing to be a martyr and left his home to foreign land will never go to the limits to hide his identity. The remaining bunch are lost souls who by joining a cult have the feeling of belonging. Jihaadka cayaarta ka daaya...
7. @Xabad ha igu awr kacsan. my little banter was aimed to Muslims, not Heathens. I am grateful we are not pagans. Waaq, Tiniiqi, Tincawsle iyo magacyada faraha badan ee loo bixiyaaba, waa barigii dadku ahaayeen cawaanta.. Islam is not a religion for specific communities, and Arabic simply happens to be the liturgical language (and its a beautiful one for that matter)....What some people argue is Arabization of Islam. Confusing between Arabic custom and Religion is common. Even for that matter, Islam has encouraged good customs Arabs had in the time of revelation. Same goes for every community, if they have good customs that are not religiously contradicting then that community can retain it. Don't confuse the misconception of Some people with the true religion.
8. Nin ayaa wadaad idaacad ka waydiiyay "Sheekh findhicilku ma xaaraan baa misa waa xalaal"...Sheekhii waxa uu ku jawaabay "Findhicil waxa uu yahayba soo hadal qaadkiisaa ka xun" WARNING: This thread is the same... Nowadays, Islam is transforming to a set of rituals rather than spiritual guidance for Muslims in this life and hereafter. The definition of a pious Muslim have been secluded in a narrow fence. Wearing khamis, Calling your self Abu-Hebel, excessive use of Arabic in your normal conversations, Meeting in Wadaad-approved restaurants, Hanging with a group of same religious denomination....Etc. .. Wear a suit (even white suit!) hangout with muslim brothers of another islamic denomination, attend scientific conference! that have the word evolution in its pamphlet, and words will start flying around in your own cult "Ninka baryahan looma bogin", "Wuu diga rogtay" etc. The prophet (NNKH) Used camels for transportation, and was called by nickname by eldest son (Abuu Al-qaasim). So did the people who lived in MAkkah or Madinah at that time, Muslims and Non-Muslims Alike. Its not sunnah to imitate the Prophet in such things, but Sunnah is to imitate him in things that he was distinguished from others. Allah did not praise our prophet (NNKH) by what type of clothes he wore or what type of camels he rode, but by his vitreous character. "[68:5]And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character." Hence, we should imitate the prophet by his characters of truthfulness, honesty, patience, love for justice and abhorring prejudice. ... its either we embrace the values that our beloved prophet was praised upon or exhaust ourselves in arguments about his clothing. Blind imitation is what we have, don't imitate Sheekh hebel or certain group, Quran and sunnah are open source, Think and contemplate upon them, thinking is more than a Sunnah ..[3:192] Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and ponder over the creation of the heavens and the earth Once me and a friend attended a Jumca ceremony and the Imam was wearing a shirt and trouser. My friend did not like it. did the prophet wear the same clothes that our imams are dressed upon when on minbar, praying in the extravagant mosques we have now (In fact the prophet warned about it) .... its a perception we have when something defies the norm that we usually know, it should be wrong, my Advice think about it. Finally isn't the ritualization of certain tasks that are not performed by the prophet and his companions called bidca. ... That is for another day ...
9. @Galbeedi... In the case of Somaliland. For now, I believe we should totally avoid the talk about Pan-Somalism... let the wounds heal..Some people still are sensitive about any project of Somali-Somaliland collaboration. Those might be personally inflicted by the Civil war on some individuals or in others who through second-hand account unconsciously picked up large doses of animosity to the idea from their parents and communities. The young generation currently view the Pan-Somalism project unfavorably. Somalilanders need to be left alone for a while and Somalia should first become stable and presentable.Any dialogue of Pan-Somalism is refuted simply by mentioning "Ma dadkaas dantoodii garan la'a baad noo wadaa". The idea of Somaliland nationalism is becoming stronger and stronger, from merely a political platform in the 90s to nonnegotiable sacred thing. Future leaders when working on Pan-Somalism should never persuade somalilanders to a Single centralized government but Somalilanders should keep their identity and first gradually merge into superficial unity. For the case of Regional states in Somalia... I really really don't know...Puntland is an exception, but , on contrary to Somaliland, They still retain the sense of belonging to the rest of Somalia. Therefore, Things are easier...For the rest of Somalia, its not an issue of identity its issue of trust and ignorance. I will lying if I say I can propose a clear road-map to make conditions better, what I usually do is pray for a savior conditions and people...Inta aan midaw laga hadlin yaan lala midoobaa oo lala shaqeeya.. Finally the Case of occupied Somali Territories and DJibouti. Ethiopia and Kenya should not be viewed as potential enemies...1/3 of Ethiopa is Somali region and Half the population are muslim, by Empowering the Somali people to take more initiatives in Ethiopian administration and forging strong political ties and Trade ties. We can have mutual relations, Our people living in dignity inside ethiopia and providing them with access to neutral trade routes....For kenya don't make a sweat, It might be short sighted of me, but bribe the government and things will be way better for us,,,same again, trade and political ties..Djibouti will easily join a healthy somali union. ..... We can be movers and shakers in Both Ethiopia and Kenya if we play our cards right. If zionists had our resources and land, They would have made the horn one of the strongest regional and global powers, Ethiopia and Kenya being puppet banana states they control...considering they have not been Somalisized to the self-destroying habits we have...
10. @Holac...if it comes to War crimes...Most of our politicians and security heads had their hands stained by innocent blood..If we start mentioning names, Presidents, Ministers, MPs, Generals, Sheikhs, Businessmen Etc will top the list...Markaa ninkan just got stuck like General Samatar...one of the few who made it to western courts. I feel relieved to know that within the next two decades we might have a considerable number of leaders and state-heads who are free of the sin of Human blood....and I feel nauseated when I see masses chanting for a known warlord....Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.
11. @smartlander said: Gabiley people hate Mogadishu for some reason. They hate the name. They always say Mogadishu people killed them. But they like Bosaso and Kismayo people. They should hate all or hate none. Gabiley people are also very emotional. They never did SNM fighting. They were in London hiding. Gabiley people cant name even one of their own SNM heroes Us Salaxley and Burco people don't hate anyone though and we still produced SNM heroes. I dont like the mentality Gabiley people Gabiley people are kind of like poison.they are not good as leaders. Only good for administration and civil servants. We need Salaxley or Burco people as leaders Silanyo I support. We dont need that guy muse bixi. Gabiley people always have to embarass Somalilanders on tv and in public being so extreme. Stop it please. They are the biggest british lovers. Please stop embarassing us. You can be pro somaliland and nationalist without exhibiting such behavior Are you serious.... In western countries this has many names, Stereotyping, Bigotry, etc...In islam we have only one word for it...Qudhmiso...دَعُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا مُنْتِنَةٌ I would expect that from a grand mother/father...or any Somali person who is not enlightened...but for someone who live in the 21st century its abhorring to see what you just said.. 13. considering his sinister motives...Also for the case of Somalis and to deter blame I would say "Ninku waa nin xun"..... Otherwise,With discretion- I believe Soomaali badan they just dress blame wrong. Men and women alike. Being a somali raised in Somalia, I found many diaspora somalis dress in depressing attire, giving the impression that someone is homeless sometimes (I know they are not homeless). Its not religion nor culture...
14. Pan-Somalism needs to re-emerge in a new form. Mistrust have grown and Nationalism in post civil war countries (somalia &Somalia) and regions (Puntland, Galmudug etc) is high. We simply need to understand inaan lakala maarmin, then gradually create free markets, may be shared security, unified foreign policy and similar initiatives. during which each federal state or country (In case of Somaliland) retain their national identity and elected administrations....through continuous desensitization the mistrust between Somalis is outgrown......places like Djibouti, Somali regions of Ethiopia and Kenya should also be included , first by involving the free market (this may involve the whole occupying country as ethiopia or Kenya)... Careful and well-thought ideas that are free of sentiment are needed to erect a healthy Pan-Somalism....Shanta Soomaaliyeed is a dead dream (for now) ... "Far yari togdheer bay kugu ridaa" or as reer muqdisho say, "luuq luuq maraw laasim laamiga imaan"
15. @Adam & @Xabad ...First, as a muslim its your duty to care for the Ummah wholly...Second, as a citizen of the world, we all effect each other, especially in the contemporary globalization. its that same type of narrow thinking will lead you to say...Maxaa muqdisho iga galay, reer hargeisa xaalkood, Reer jabuuti waa dad kale... @Cidansultan, I thought we covered the ignorance and extremity of the so called Islamic state. Nothing has changed in the middle east, just new civil wars between brothers. its a sectarian war, large scale sectarian war and one would expect it to expand involving countries with considerable Shii'te population such as Lebanon, Bahrain, yemen and with a distant guess Saudi Arabia. .... the animosity towards shiites is growing in the middle east, fueled by Iranian intervention in Iraq and Lebanon and partly by the Gulf kings who subjugate shiite citizens to different forms of prejudice and discrimination. Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi arabian Shiites are treated as second class citizens. Reiteration....Islamic world will rise when we come in terms with our religion. through Knowledge and understanding of the true teaching of Islam...Not through "Qori-caaradii" iyo guerrilla warfare. .... Arabs are the least I expect to start the Islamic rise....Good example in all Religious and national ceremonies they congratulate the ARABIC and ISLAMIC nations....."The king Congratulates the Arabic and Islamic nations for Eid"...Such phrases are common and is a simple example of Arab nationalism (and similar nationalists) being the big hindrance to islamic unity. Sheekadu waa sheeko dheer, Laakiin inaar nimankaa Argagixisada ah ee muslimka dhameeyay naga daa xayaysiiskooda.
16. @Che -Guevara said: Coofle, Tribalism is everywhere and it is not any less stinky than tribalism in Mogadishu. One will be fooling himself if he thinks people in Mogadishu are more tribalistic than those in other parts of Somalia. Due to its unique role in Somalia, Mogadishu's problems are far more complex than say those of Hargeisa, Garowe, Baydhabo, etc. This multi-layered complexity is what magnifies tribalism in Mogadishu. True Waa loo simanyahay Tribalism-ka .... But every Somali clan have succeeded in establishing a considerable peace in their regions. Reer muqdisho, Ironically aspiring to be the center of united Ummad, yet failed in making it a stable..... Runta aan isku sheegno, Nothing is complicated, its Pure unadulterated tribalism by certain individuals (madaxda iyo ganacstada) .... Al-shabab and similar factions are feeding on pre-existing division and chaos....Muqadishians abhor tribalism and talk relating to it, contrary to their Somali kins, And I believe waa reer magaalnimo ay dadka dheeryihiin, yet they are the first to succumb to it...
17. I don't see any bird droppings...I thought that Jaziirada rabshiga was famous for being a resting point for migrating birds. The birds left a considerable droppings that was used as manure....Anyways...I am not sure All of that is just information in my head..
18. Galbeedi is being misunderstood here. We rarely see a cosmopolitan university in Somalia. Students from south and central Somalia target Amoud university for Security reasons and good name . undoubtedly, Amoud university is leading (post-civil war somali) university in Somali inhabited lands. Many Somali cities might provide the same opportunities, but I guess they still don't enjoy the popularity. on another note...I wish to see a Somali city where Somalis live side by side, not claimed by a certain group or clan. A city that has infrastructure instead of the disabled clan-based towns. A city led by youth who genuinely think about well being of their city. A Somali utopia with Civilized Somalis.....I am a dreamer, but some cities have that potential....places like Jigjiga, Djibouti, Hargeisa, Borama and Bosaso are showing healthy signs of development both socially and otherwise. integration is easy, people are understanding and accepting other fellow somalis....on the other hand,Mogadisho is submitting more and more to become a tribal cesspool, after being a beacon for Umadda Soomaaliyeed. one can blame the civil war, but civil war has erupted in all of Somalia, yet some decided to move on, other failed to outgrow the stinking tribalism.

20. Gabdhaha yaryar qiiro Jabaan iyo cadaadis raganimo (Patriarchal) ayaa eryaday .... If one is going to a war, Especially that between two muslims, one should at least do an extensive research. Killing a muslim (or human) is a big thing, no matter what the reason is. I would like bring a hadith that is rarely quoted by ISIL and the likes. إذا التقى المسلمان بسيفيهما فالقاتل والمقتول في النار IF two muslims meet with their swords[with intention of fighting to death] both of them will face hell fire.. If someone is willing to go to Jihad then its his responsibility to check the legitimacy of such Jihad. What is going on in Iraq is not by any means Jihad, its a sectarian war, You have Arab tribes, Former Ba'this, and few alqaeda insurgents combined for the single agenda of fending off the injustice committed by Shiites. The father of the girls being IMAM should have at least understood the nature of conflict, and talked about it to his children. They definitely showed signs of support and even willing to go to syria/Iraq while at the presence of their parents. They showed not subtle but strong signals that are hard to ignore. The Illusion[Madness] that few Kalashnikov will erect strong Islamic state is ....disgusting. Muslims need to work on themselves, we need to cleanse our souls, and sins... لا تدخلوا الجنة حتى تؤمنوا، ولا تؤمنوا حتى تحابوا. You[muslims] won't enter Jannah until you believe, and you won't believe until you love each other. Do we muslims like each other today?.... brotherhood(Muhajirin & Ansar) is a fundamental essence in Islam. Personally I would like to die 1000000 times than to spill the blood of a muslim. Finally, for those who harbor hatred for Shiites, calling to beheading them ....Dagaalka ciraaq waa qabyaalad la diimeeyay...Just remember the following incidents.. When USAMA binu ZAYD (RAC) Killed a man after he pleaded the shahada, the prophet was heartbroken about that and kept repeatin...did you kill him after shahada?...
21. وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلَاقٍ ۖ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ Many people argue that, Increasing world population will cause widespread shortage in food, water, and other necessities. China and India are living proof to refute that claim, combined, they almost contain one third of the planet's population. Despite that, the food prices is record low in both countries. On the other hand, certain countries with small populations tend to have high price tags when it comes to food. At the same time, that does not mean our produce should remain the same. We need to proportionally increase food production with population growth. Technological and scientific development have had huge impact on the methods and ways we produce food and provide water. Nowadays, one hectare produces 10 times more what it did centuries ago. seasonal change is no more a factor in farming due to greenhouse farming. Globalized greed remains the single most driving factor behind the calls for population control. countries that propagate such fears remains to be those with highest food security. Somalia, our beloved place!...Albeit having no population problems, but food insecurity is constant threat. Famine breaking out every now and then (annually). drought and in some cases too much rainfall are the focus of scrutiny and blame. I believe that Somalia is good case study to the disproportionate population growth to food availability. our country tries to sustain a quadrupled population with the same farming and herding methods. Modernizing agriculture sector in somalia (& Africa) will make food shortage a thing of the past.
22. carabta qaar baa tidhaa...من لم يكن له شيخ فشيخه شيطانه Waxaan uga gol leeyahay "A simple google search" can not make you well versed in anything. Such facilitators as google made things easier for us. We can understand something superficially. Swallowing watermelon seeds (without chewing) is generally safe. The seed will safely pass through the digestive tract or surrender to the mechanical and chemical digestion that continuously going on in the gut. That is the outcome for most cases. At the same time, no doctor will completely rule out the possibility of swallowed seed causing a problem. In some unfortunate individuals, there has been recorded isolated cases of "Intestinal obstruction" caused by ingestion of watermelon seeds. As Holac mentioned, dry undigested seeds may injure the intestine and even may cause perforation in individuals with certain Gastrointestinal conditions. In young children and even adults with swallowing difficulties. dry Seeds may take the wrong exit and end up going to the lungs. Any foreign body in the lungs might cause lung collapse or create haven for infection (pneumonia). These are all possible scenarios. Fortunately, We all swallow a Watermelon seed without chewing it from time to time, and the vast majority don't have any problem with it. Educating the public about the rare complications of watermelon seeds during the month of Ramadan is a wise move by the doctor. Ramadan always comes with raising consumption of Watermelons, and Some people intentionally swallow seeds without chewing.

24. VIDEO IS ARABIC. The fact that he selectively portrayed a positive picture of Somaliland is powerful enough to cause a ruckus in a yemeni Qat mijilis for 15 minutes. Media is powerful, Imagine Certain channels broadcasting our developments and concealing our shortcomings...that is media for you...giving a blind shoulder to our abundant vices and only hand picking enough to entice his yemeni viewers was a good move....That is how TV programs work anyways.
