AHUN. What is fueling this tahriib epidemic? I know Senile

Silanyo failed the people of Somaliland with unemployment

rates as high as 98% but surely it is not worth risking your lives

over it.

The largest number of the youth risking their lives in the dangerous oceans are from Somaliland. Most of these are probably graduates.

No one can sustain 70-80% unemployment. Hargeisa is filled with three story buildings for useless ministries paid by NGO's. You do not need forty ministries to manage a mere $100 million budget.

There are no jobs and there will not be jobs or any hope to stay their. No incentives to create new industries or youth attracting initiatives. Imagine a budget with no capital projects to build infrastructure. Even villages and towns have yearly capital projects to enhance service and create local jobs.

All you see is " wasaarada xoolaha iyo ta biyaha oo dabaq dhistay". wasaarada biyaha inta ay dabaq u dhisayaan miyey ceel biyood qodaan. The whole system is based in 1970 socialist governing model. I saw few weeks ago during the drought that , " The president donated ambulance van to Lughaya town", in the new. These towns should be collecting their taxes and caring for their people. The worst thing is these ambulances have been also donated by NGO's.

If you can not resolve the youth unemployment or create any hope , then you should tell people that this experiment is failed, and a new economic model and strategy must be created. Even in war torn south Somalia , the unemployment is lower than Somaliland. Somali union and economic integration should be the only way to lift the economy from the stagnation.

The youth can not wait the false hopes of the old guard. They must find their future within the Somali territories rather than die in the high seas. This Somaliland Project can not be sustained any longer. How many more have to die. Syrians fleeing war and Eritreans leaving a despot are risking their lives, but also Somalis from Burco, Borama and Hargeisa are dying in the high sees to get away from the hopeless future Somaliland.

Does anyone from Hargeisa has the answer for this tragedy?, I don't think so.

I think it is to do with the recurring draughts every other year, the unemployed locals are either travelling to EU/US through human traffecking or alshabab use them as suicide bombers in mogadishu sad affairs.majority of the suicide attacks are carried by these brainwashed people.it is time that SL face the reality.

Mr Galbeedi,

Your supposed solution to the economic problems in Somaliland is the same thing that created the problem in the first place, ie the failed union.

The root of the problem is not the secession but bad leadership as you also pointed out. We need to get rid of the tribalism which is the plague in our society and elect visionary leaders if we are to bring about a real change and eeconomic development.

The root of the problem is Global in nature. And it is not just Somali youth looking for better lives abroad. It is all over Africa, Middle East and Central Asia. Just look at any detention centre in your host country and you will find people from all walks of life. In fact, Somalis are not even the top 5 source of migration in many countries. The top is now Syria, Libya, Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan.

For Somalilanders, the drivers are both unemployment and the fact that the Diaspora who return home for holidays are stealing the youth's future both in terms of women and good positions in both government and NGO's. I know this because I have a cousin who is currently stranded in Libya taking his chance to enter Europe. No matter how much you remind him of the danger out there, he has made his mind up. It is the same for all these young men and women.

Unemployement in Somaliland is around 70% not 98% people who do tahriib are not all chanceless in society. I have a nephew who tahriibed via Turkey than went to greece and got a scholarship and is now chilling in Norway and trust me that guy was the deputy chief of dahabshil hargeysa office made around 2000 dollars a month had his own Business on the side but tahriibed at the age 27. And there are many people who have it very good that leave the country the west is glamourized, and there is this understanding among the youth that the west is always better no matter what or how good they have it back home. No matter how good u tell them that its not worth it losing your life to go via boat to Europe. i Always tell them if u wanna leave do it in a very secure way.

Galbeedi doesnt miss a chance to attack Somaliland his solution is lets join war torn mogadishu and xassan culusow who is selling somali woman to arabs its always better in that god forsaken somalia eeh dadku silic ku noolyihin. Allow kuwaas ilma amisom iyo ilma mamuul goboleed waligay wax noogu darin.

any way allah ha u naxariisto dhaliyarada allow u naxariiso and the govt needs to create more awareness laakin hadana qof raba inu tahriibu u cant stop him. There is not always an economic problem but a social problem to

Tahriibtu waxay salka ku haysaa Rajo go, dad very ambtion, ah oo rajo beelay. Dadka aan hammiga lahayn are happy with status quo.

what is the difference of under Somali Republic in 1986 and in Somaliland in 2016?

Health, education, freedom, employment, you do the maths! and do careful analyse with objectivity.

.

Qabyaaladii indhaha la ayd, markii HOOS usoo degtay, oo tii aad SOMALIWEYN, uga carartey , mid ka xumi reerkii reer SHIEKH isxaaq ka dhex qaraxdey, maxaa kuu baxay?

Somali Republic laftigeeda musuqmaasaqii uga tagtey , cadaalad xumidii, baa qaab qabiil uga tagtey, isagii baana hada ku daba socda.

Xal ku waxa weeye, reer reer Ma soconeeyso, it does not matter what state you live in , as long as you follow the ideology of tribe , waa same disease, marka Xal ma jiro.

The solution, is dod daacad ah, oo wax aan Somalinimo dhaafsiisaneeyd in meel walba laga helo, hadii taas jirin, at least in Somalialnd , waa in aan hoos looga daadegin, nationalistic SOMALILANDER only. waxa intaa dhaafsiisan, sidii basashii baa reer reer la isku haysan.

Waxa kaloo ku cadaan, in waxa aad Somali Republic uga tagteey, dadkaa qabiilka ku dhaqmaaye, ama victim ka dhigey people of the North, iyagina weli is haysta, hadeey meesha ka baxaan, in wax aad kaga maqnaato jirin.

Soomali inta badan waa wada bugtaa, waa isku dawo!

The biggest issue is bad governance not because of tribalism.

A lot of the people who tahriibed are from Silanyo community.

Somali politicians only care about their belly (calool uu

shaqaystayaal), same way Culusow doesn't care about his

people that are bombed daily. The solution is politicians that

work for daanta guud(the needs of the general population) not

self interest.

Just this week the clown Vice President of Silanyo (Seylici)

and several ministers opened a shop owned by a private

individual while neglecting their jobs many people died in the

floods of Gabiley since there is no bridges there. Somali

politicians don't even know their job description.

Unfortunately Somaliland is led by the lowest of the low in the

society, the khat addicts, crack heads, alcohol addicts etc.

Allaha u naxariisto ugana meel bixiyo ma banana inaad naftaada haligto, meel walba ilaahay waa joogaa, yurub keliya ma joogo.

Tahriibka shaqo abuur laguma joojin karo aragtidayda, dadka tahriiba inta badan waa dadka ugu ladan bulshada iyo meelaha ugu nabdoon.

Waa sawir qabow oo dhalinyarada maskaxdooda si sahlan u gala waxaana dhiiri geliya qurba joogta faanfaanka noogu timaada iyo meeshaan lama joogi karo biyaheeda lama cabbi karo, calaacashaa kaneeco iga qaniintay, khatar waaye iwm.

Odayaashii vitamin D’gu kusoo yaraadayna barlamaankaa lagusoo dhaweeyay mar hadduu basoboor ajnabiya wato shahaado loogama baahna wasiirka iyo shaqaalahana asagu ha keeno.

Dal joog waxba looma habyn runtii aan ka ahyn dameer jiran, waa in lagu mudaahaaradaa qurba joogta oo loo sheegaa inaysan waxba nagusoo kordhin jahwareer dhaqan mid siyaasadeed, laab la’kac yaa laga dhaxlay.

Dad badan baa ku andocooda masaariif badan bay soo diraan, ilmihii masaariiftooda ku koray soo oran maayo markuu weynaado maxaa adiga curyaan kaa dhigay oo bad iyo beriba jiiri maayo?

Allaha na asturo.

This is what happens when you destract the people with secessionist nonsense instead of actually working hard to improve the people's lives.

To Silanyo and all his secessionist pipe dreamers who got nothing for the people but bullshit:

This incident, once again, bestows upon your shoulders a degree of mocking infamy and ridicule which will be very hard to escape from!

Shame on you , dimwits!

You are either taking an immoral advantage of a sad situation or your logic is dictated by the raw emotion of the moment. Whichever it is, you will be wiser to avoid making any comments lest you make yourself look like a fool.

Tallaabo, saaxiib, calling me a fool for rightfully pointing the finger at the corrupt and ineffectual Silanyo administration for this disaster, is entirely disingenuous and unfortunate on your part.

I, like the poor mothers in that video who were mourning, fully lay the blame solely at the feet of Silanyo and his "waanu go'aynaa" administration for the tragic loss of lives in the Medeterranian.

Be that as it may, sxb, if you still wish to further engage me directly on this thread about this particular disaster, then I will have to insist that you first grasp your ears firmly and pull; maybe then you just might be able to wrench your head free from your withered rear end and see how hapless, helpless and hopeless the youth of Somaliland have become because of the brigands in charge in Hargaysa who have nothing better to offer the people besides the usual diversionary claptrap of ..."waanu go'aynaa...iyo wey duushay bahashii... iyo May18 baa soo dhow ee aanu hudheelo lagu niikiyo, afarta beeni-jiho adduunka, ka kireysano".

For fcuks sake, when will this misery for the people of Somaliland end?

Tallaabo, sxb, the youth need good jobs and opportunities. The youth need hope. The youth must made to love their homeland and lives in Somalia, again.

Somaliland deserves a better government than the current useless and out-of-touch Silanyo. Somaliland deserves better than Muse Bixi and Faisal Waraabe.

Somaliland CAN do better!
