WHAT WAS THE PRIME REASONS FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF SOMALIA?

Recommended Posts

GAAROODI

I think it was due to minority rule, lack of justice and equality and a wrong concept of superiority of a few on the masses.

If history has taught us anything somali's, it has taught us that no one can force anyone to do something they dont wanna do. So live and let live. If you check out the loss on etheir side:

Somaliland:

the bombardment of hargaisa,Burco,Berbe ra

the murder of 100,000 innocent civilian

the displacement of 2 million people

Somalia:

The fall of a government

the total collapes of the army

The total collapes of the bank

The death of an estimated 150,000 army personal

the destruction of Mugdisho

the death toll of warlords, islamic radicals, Ethipian occupation and TFG presence : 200,000

high super inflation

This all started because of injustice, and ended up destroying an entire nation, and giving rise to a new one. The only solution is 2 countries. There is no other option. You could pretend there are other options but there really isnt or else we could see alot more of this:

Walahi you got to hand it to these guys, 15,000 rebels destroyed and took on successfully africa's 3 largest army and destroyed it.

That was 1988, imagine what Somaliland can do now with its own army. Third after Ethiopia and Eriteria. Thats what these little kids don't know.

Those who go to Somaliland can see old tanks everywhere, rounds of used ammunition everywhere. Its Somalia's graveyard, where it went to die the honoust truth is that all that is left is the corpse and people have been fighting over this ever since but it really died in 1991. When these little kids were learning how to be potty trained.

Another Hawish Somalilander on SOL. Mashallah. Send me a PM sxb so we can finish what the SNM started.

There are just too many difference for a united somalia so maha? the facts are on the ground. Political realism is the dominant school of thought in this day and age. I don't think many of those who regulaly post on SOL with their delusional posts like Xiiny et al realise what politics in the 21st century is all about.

USC so maha?, but if the SNM was waging its campaign in this part of South Somalia, I think we can all agree its superior military would have almost certainly overthrew the barre regime without too much difficult. And more importantly it would have convened a political campagin to establish a new government rather than what we witnessed in the early 90s. The lesson to be learnt here is to use the political process as opposed to military campaign which has limited uses.

Adam your tendency of concentrating at the subject matter and not the content is all too obvious for all to see.

The man asked what is the prime reason for the destruction of somalia?

You attack Somaliland and deny historical facts.

Again, let me put the question to you. what is the prime reason for the destruction of somalia??

Give it a rest boys. Those days are over. There is abject poverty, malnutrition, war, maryoole, droughts, lack of food, women and children suffering in Somalia AND Somaliland.

lets get to the root causes sxb, instead of beating around the bush with the consequences.

I believe there are big difference between the causes and consequences of the Somali problem.
