Sorry I don't want to bring anything apart from the current debate to the discussion here but I've to note that people like Abwaan who are supporters of the court movement are now advertising love films to us?

Can you see something wrong with it? I certainly can do.

As if I have no right to do this. Toloow wax la sheegaa la waayey, ka hor imow hadde marka filinkaan illeen anigaa ka hadlee. Sxb orod fiirso cashar hakuu noqdee aadna aragtid dhibaatada quursiga. If not MKA you can start another topic if you want inaad Abwaan wax ka sheegtid and tough luck haddaad fikirkayga dhibsanaysid. Once more my thinking is not shaped by Qabyaalad sxb, if you want proof check my comments on SOL, balse dacaayadaha raqiiskaa intaad iska dhaaftid meeshaan filin baa looga hadlayaa ee ku darso fikirkaaga haddii kale KA BUL DHEH OO BADDA KA CAB.

Who said the supporters of Maxkamadaha can not talk about or advertise a film?

^ The Courts would have banned Movies. Bank on it. If they banned soccer matches, and cinemas and khat why not, unhajibified women and men seeking them?

However, what killed me is the director's choice of title. Bloody hell. For God's sake if you can't re-tell a beautiful story like 'Cali iyo Cawrala' in the way it deserves to be told, do not even attempt to compare it to a shabby story manufactored in Mombasa. I believe the only move that can do justice and materialise 'Cali iyo Cawrala' is a professionally made movie. As it is the case with all attempts at moving making, this director's attempts still remains constant 'shouts', 'bangs' and 'walks in the beach'. No decent dialogues and no good story line.

Well, there is a project going on, which is producing a film, that will reflect the true story of Cali Maax and Cawrala. The fund rise is already on move, and the sites like Xiis Xarrago, Calmadow Mountains and the beautifull green mountains of Sanaag are spoted. Im sure, its gonna be a super hit movie. God Bless the Somali Author of this Story (Faarax M Jamac nick named "Faarax Cadde" ) indeed, he was a hero!

Incorrect. The ICU would ban porn movies, or movies that contain indecent scenes like semi-nudeness (especially with dirac), kissing, hugging, iwm. The soccer ban was a TFG propaganda, just like the one alleging those who don't pray would have their necks cut off.

The ICU, did not only ban movies. But, even the soccer footbal games. You are indeed a true "attention seeker" as I mentioned years ago. Tell us something else!

:D It amazes me too.

Waraa Hunguri, that would be great but the story must be directly set to the one in the book. Supplemental addition that would peg the movie to a contemporary trend would help also.

Paragon, I have listened to the director's interview. The story is totally different, but he chose the names for publicity purposes. What is bad about the director is that he did not give credit to the names except being obstinate with the selection of these names as natural and Somali, which again contradicts his former view point of publicity.
