  1. ^ they are also known as barbarians haha . I wonder who these Somalis will look down upon.
  2. UK/ London bashing is so predictable and boring, yes the houses are small, it's a small island with millions of people. The weather isn't great for much of the year, but it gives us something to talk about and be happy about when it's good. If you came to the UK and hated it, fair enough, feel free never to return but please stop moaning about your weeks visit. *yawn* Che, what did I write to make you laugh?
  3. That child ain't mine, haha, let's hope not. Somalis are the same everywhere they go.

  5. ^hahaha. one of your better posts Marx. Misunderstood.
  6. ^ Sweet. (I am just here looking for a compliment, haye)
  7. If you are a married teacher and you find yourself dating a pupil, don't `run away` to the closest country, sparking a massive media circus, who WILL track you down as it's the stuff of editors dreams. Not-thought-out-not-worth-it.com btw I love this off topic thread.
  8. Some woman told me today "idiga lugadah kugu yaar" excuse the spelling. Now if I say my somali is crap that's one thing but if a random stranger tells me that, its very annoying.
  9. Its hard to guess someone's taste in perfume so its most likely you would choose something that she would not like. Really fancy pen and notebook? watch? Depends what kind of person she is.
  10. Good morning all, iam after an easy day today and a fruitful shopping trip. Say Ameen
  11. ^ Hahaha, he was probably afraid you would marry the kiwi, probably had one of his relatives in mind for you.
  12. Ibz perhaps he means since you are different from the average cadaan person at work and can't easily socialise with them. I find that it depends on the person rather than any other factor, some ppl are just there to do the job as painlessly as possible, get on with everyone and go home. Others seem to think its their job to gossip about EVERYONE they come into contact with and spend most of the day moaning to some poor person to make themselves feel better. I had an old somali man in my old work place who knew everything about everyone, miss him!
  13. SubhanAlllah. May Allah grant the family peace and patience, especially the sister. Sometimes things happen that defy words or understanding.
  14. My first job during college was in a coffee shop. Learnt to make great cappuccino there! Can't remember why I left, really enjoyed it. The longer you're there Nah, the better you will get and the easier the job will be, stick with it. And blow your wages on something really ******, just coz you can.

  16. ^Hehe. May not make too many comments on the society but this woman is hilarious and my favourite tv programme by far. Heard a lot of good things about the wire and madmen too, hmmm.
  17. Probably not, better the devil you know as they say.

^ Big brother syndrome heh? It might sound ironic but it seems its much safer for a somali girl to be out walking on her own at night on the streets of London, than for a somali boy. Adam alhamdulliah nothing happened, sounded terrifying.
  19. The nerve of this man, to go snooping around ppl's private stuff and then to complain about what he has found!
  20. Looks really interesting. J Ph is a great actor.
  21. ^ Can you please go and let us know. Thanks
  22. ^ I am also notoriously late, esp for my long suffering friends. Apparently it helps if you aim to get there 10 mins before your appointment. That way you have some time to play with, haven't tried this yet. Strangely I HATE waiting for people who are late. haha. I just hate it when they get inside the room and all one can do for the next 5 or 10 minutes is to try to get it out or throw something at it. The only reason I can explain the invention of the tea towel.
  23. Its like when one too many people try to be "cool" they ruin everything. (Marx, I am so glad you remembered, I was getting quite anxious but still to the thread pls)
