  1. ^^^other words such as "brainwashed" and "enslaved" come to mind, but whipped certaintly can be used to discribe the situation As for nomination, all nomads have their good sides, which compensates for their many atrocious tendencies. So i would nominate all my fellow nomads

    Shisha

It is very surprising to see the liberal views most seem to have on smoking shiisha. I would have guessed that most would be against it, never mind admitting to trying it out. I feel like i have been left behind in the century when walking past such cafe's were considered a risk to one's reputation, let alone going inside it. What is the allure of shiisha?
  3. ^^serves you right, giving us a half story! Don't you know how curious we somalis are? Seriously though, i'm still not sure why he would want to find his family whilest his in jail, i mean didnt he know where they were b4 going 2 jail? I know you don't have that sort of information, but those questions arose after reading this. Anyway wiilka la sheegaayo Allah cidiisa u sahlo, xabsi gaal ha lauugu xero adoo cidaada meel ku ogeen waa habaar ee. I'm sure word will spread within the somali communities, now that it is out.
  4. ^^ondankbare kind, waad is mahadisay soo ma aha  I'm sure i wanted something from you when i penned those rhymes down, so don't go diva on me now Checkmate, that was very nice bro, better than my original, and sooo truthful..in particular the bit where u state that Juxa is a Goat That was soo accurate, u sure u don't know my sister in person?
  5. Allah u naxariisto nimaki dhintay familkooda neh Allah samir iyo iimaan ka siiyo. Whether they were guilty or innocent or to what degree doesn't matter for they will be held acountable by thier maker, Allah. Now such a protest will not bring the men back, will not undo what has been done, whether it was right or wrong. But maybe, just maybe it will be useful to somalis in that curropt country, to know that although there is no fully functional government speaking for them, they have walaalo dhibka ku fiirsaneeyn, oo na dantooda ka raaceheeyn. That they have ppl who they share nothing with besides soomaalinimo who would make an effort on their behalves. Caamir thnx for posting. As for us nomads, pls let's not start an insult match, it won't do anyone any good.
  6. Am i the only one who finds it disturbing that so many of you want to find your sexual identity throught the first letter of your names? Now, hypothetically speaking, does one use the somali spelling or the english one to apply this "identification system" to ones life?
  7. Rendezvous, bro you lead by example, not by angery words you say because you feel someone is doubting our religion. Remember, the religion is above petty insults and doubts (not that i think any1 here is insulting our religion) never the less, somethings aren't for us to question, dembi lee naga soo raacaayo, that's why i posted earlier bro, and i hope you took it as a sisterly concern and not a random attack on your person I still feel in aad walaasheen ka qaldantahay, laakinse i can understand why you feel justified in your opinion. But it doesn't matter what i say. Just remember, we all need a lil bit of cafis sometimes right?
  8. muslim/Sellout like Lazie girl Rendezvous, you are the worst hypocrite I have ever seen, here you are suposedly defending the religion and at the same time you would call a sister in Islam a sell-out. What right have you to question her faith? You don't know her, nor do you know how committed she is to her creator, OUR creator who sees all, nor have you the right to decide who is a worthy muslim/muslimah, only Allah can do that. I am not part of this argument nor do i side with anyone here, laakinse i think you are in the wrong here, I hope you go back on what you said and apologise to the sister. It is a dangerous teritory, questioning certain aspects of the religion, i am ignorant of that and won't comment on the on-going discussion, laakinse it is definately wrong to question someone's faith when you only know them through a screen, me thinks.

    Tips

^^firstly wlc to the site. I can see how the whole gender bashing would seem alien to you, but it is normal. Every three months we have male-hate week followed by 23 days of rest period and then the guys start their war on women and start playing the "wixi xun xaliimaa leh" game in which they pin-point faults in society and blame it on women. After that there is a period in which all negative energy has been released and both the sexes live alongside one another in peace.... ..Until the whole gender-bashing cycle can be repeated. Also, this "i hate you because you are a wo/man" game is a way to flirt and find like minded nomads, so don't just sit there, pick a faarax and attack his skinny spagetie-legged assets
  10. lool@X, girl i bet you check whether the older men are eligable for life insurance before even considering them as "future prospectives" Nafta, meid iedereen houdt van doekoe iedereen houdt van geld ma maqli jirtay Ben blij om je weer in de buurt te zien, meiske
  11. I saw a thread with my name on it, my heart jumped in my chest. And then i thought to myself must be a new dawoco on the block, cos no way i would write a whole topic dedicated to that she-man And then i opened the thread and had a real cringe moment. What was i thinking? But then again, those WERE my prozac days, discussing things like shiny kastuumooyin with carneval attending sujus were the norm. At least that is my excuse and i STAND by it

Funny test, weird questions, but here's my result.. "Men notice you light years before you notice them You take a selective approach to dating, and you can afford to be picky You aren't looking for a quick flirt - but a memorable encounter It may take men a while to ask you out, but it's worth the wait"

Is this your ambition..Dawoco...?QB]Why rendezvous, u proposing?! Well, my dear, ehm, rightious brother. I'm deeply, ehm ehm, saddened to inform you, that your person and my person would never, eeeeeeehm, have any sort of affection. Though, *fingers crossed*, i'm veeeeeery, ehm, honored by ur intrest  alas it is not to be. Of course, don't feel saddened, there is a girl somewhere insane enough, sorry i mean mdly inlove, enough to want a lecherous, sorry i mean luscious "mali man" as ur self. Having said all of that, pls, oh please please puulease don't feel that it is because of ur future career ambitions, or lack there of. It is merely that i find your whole presence repulsive, oh sorry i meant repugnant, no no not that either, the word is challenging. Yes that it is, i find your whole personality too challenging....Laakin don't worry, it isn't u, it is me...
  14. oh now now now. Nuune, of sorry i mean mr maskax Halahaasba ilaaheey aa og saan ugu soo dhibtooday, laakinse waan ka xumahay in aan biladi qumbaha ku heli waaye, mayb i can get mid sisin laga sameeye, like silver's second best?
  15. Tuujiye u always a victim miyaa, horta what was that maahmaah, wixi farta la iigu fiiqaaye ileen anigaa gardarnaay, (excuse me for butchering the language ) War just cos u old doesn't mean u have 2 become bitter n attack wixi kaa yaraay Btw, Maskax huh, how intresting. Hadii miir-laawe iyo tuur-dheere lala soo bixi lahaay i would use those new nicks laakinse maskax maba kari, qoriytaankiisa aa igu dhib ah. Now i'm just wondering magaca maskaxleey yaa lasoo hor mari doono and further more maskaxlaay Ps:Waranle wlc hee, tho it seems in aan lasoo daahay...What keeps me in sol is that there isn't a real substitute for it on the net, not in somali anywayz. And most of the nomads are fantastico, even the evil eyed ones are great in their own eccentric ways.
  16. sista if u r indeed as fine as ur nick suggests, look no further Just joking sis, laakinse aren't u highly ambitious? 22 with a job? maybe if u set ur goals a bit lower, like a 32 who just moved out of his mother's/sister's/cousin's house and who has been promoted 2 be manager of the local cash n carry? maybe that is a more atainable goal Third option, wait for ur calaf and spend some time around mom, b4 u know it she will be listing names of all highly desirable males in the area. Mohers have connections, and i mean internationally, so it might b an idea 2 bear that in mind
  17. Abaayo dnt be surprised, some time ago i was at my sister's house when jahova's witnesses came 2 visit looking for my brother-inlaw. It was soo funny, he was jst walking down the stairs, literally turned around and went back up. It was no problem for me of course, i really love having discussions with jahova's witnesses they r so surprised 2 have some1 actually willing to talk to them. It is so easy 2 disagree with them in a manner that isn't hostile, they get all confused, bless them. Laakin that's besides the point, let me get on topic. The two ladies had come to visit b4 and wanted 2 learn the somali language some more because they could already say subax wanaagsan/galab wanaagsan, see la yahay. They wanted 2 get to the though bit so that they could have chats with somalis that mayb were isolated from the rest of society because of language bariere. They wanted not only to be sociable, but to spread the good word. I could just imagine an elderly somali cursing them down the street walle, sayin some jini taught them somali 2 corrupt muslimiinta. They were nice, laakin their motive was highly dubious. And i cnt help but wonder how many other "linguist lovers" have some sort of twisted goal behind the learn somali motivation.
  18. Abaayo i dnt wanna b rude 2 u laakin ur story doesnt make sense. Some aspects of it are quite personal and shouldn't be mulled over with complete strangers. Having said that, maybe u can contact him and have a serious "make or break" discussion followed by a xalaal union of the two of you, that way u can make up for the time lost and mayb even start on that "would have been three year old" Allah willing
  19. Rendezvous, I think it is very awkward of you to try and instigate some sort of heated discussion in a topic that is congratulating one of our nomads, so with that in mind i will try and retain some sort of peaceful stance with a rock-headed, hypocritical brother such as yourself. you said There was nothing like HAPPY BIRTHDAY...in our calendars.. To which i disagreed, the bday bit not the valentines bit. But i know how you love to indulge in rantings and how you thrive in confrontations. so my brother, take it easy and read my response before feeling attacked. If you trully want something to feel insulted about, i would happily oblige, but lets not ruin besbaaso thread for now, deal? *my apologies besbaaso and Msword.
  20. Rendezvous, how wrong you are, we even have our own version of the happy-bday song, and it isn't a costum we encountered in europe... Laakin let me not get side tracked by a stuborn faarax Msword, happy bday, albeit a bit late. May the coming year b full of happiness, adventures and of course, poetry!
  21. To be quite honest sis, it is a bit of a grey area. I mean, although non of us are innocent as a new born babe, we shouldn't actually have a past. does that make sense? I know that dating has become a medium thru which to find a life mate, but whenever one relationship ends it means that you have to repeat the whole cycle and it adds to ur mileage and u reach a point when u have been around the block more often than you would have thought (the dating block that is). So the more "failed relationships" one goes thru, the more ones history becomes shady and the less likely it becomes, in some cases, to have some succes. The reason those questions keep popping up are cos people no longer have the gaurantee of exclusivity with their chosen partner, so i guess they become paranoid and want to know everything that happened before they were in the picture. Or so i would think...But then again, with humans, who knows.
  22. I never felt the need to sneak out, im very anti-social that way. Laakin why, have you?

    I Have Stalker

Abaayo, does you mother own kal iyo mooy? Preferably mid bir ah? If not a neighbour will have it for sure. Just say u need it to hammer something, not some1 mind u...Next time u see the mr darcy gone wrong faarax, it is better to make sure u have some type of protection to fall back on, in case he turns nasty. And yeah, what the sisters before me said holds much truth, make sure u speak to ur family and friends about him, maybe maskiinka si aa wax uga dhiman yihiin, suggest quraan aqris. And if all fails, get his details and report him to the police. Good luck sis.
  24. I think that if she is a friend she will be open to the discussion and understand the reasons behind any decisions made regarding the living arrangements. A girl's rep is valued more than her life by some. Our girls can't afford to risk damaging it, not even for our friends, cos we will b the ones that are scorned for it. Specially having tongues wagging because of what a friend did and ppl questioning a character on that term, just not worth the hassle me thinks.
  25. Salaams and wlc mo, nice 2 see some new blood Make urself at home bro, gacmo furan kusoo dhawaaw, as they say. Mac salaama.
