  1. Hey everyone, i think it is time to name and shame moti for violating basic FEMALE rights. And adeer moti , all i can say is "ha igu fiiqin fartaada iyo ciridkaaga faruuran".....
  2. Happiness, in my opinion, is found in the simple things in life (like tricking a dooro moti, not sheep)... People that are happy are those who accept the things allah grants them, both the good with the bad. And true happiness can only be found in janah, allah willing.
  3. "let's get it on" indeed(!) Hey adeer, glad to see ur alive n kickin! And ur turn of phrase is as intresting as ever.... I have to agree with u on this one o.g. it is good to have sol back.
  4. Hi everyone, I have seen many somalian parents making their children wear xijaab and go to saturday dugsii, and yet those same kids are encouraged to disregard our traditions. Some parents seem to take pride from the fact that their children don't speak our language. Why do we blame the society we live in, when we have given our youngsters no alternative to the western "civilization"? I remember how it was back home. Every night, my father used to tell me stories, that doens't happen for many children. Their only companion is the t.v. and their parents are usually too involved with themselves to give the young ones the attention they need. Many children have no one to turn to for silly chit-chats, let alone their problems. How can we easily turn our backs on what we are, when we can't be anything else? And how can our offsprings relate to the religion, if they can't understand the concepts of our tradition? We can't expect our children to be well behaved and good muslims if we aren't willing to work hard on it...
  5. What is your opinion of that article Gediid? I'm am so sick of these westerners using the suffering that has touched us all as a way to degrade us. Even when the article seems sympathetic to the Somalian cause, they manage to depict us in an uncivilized manner. And why is that damn helicopter going down always mentioned?! what about all those killed by the americans? Or are american lives worth more than those of the somalians?! These kind of articles always make me angry....

  10. To people like juxa, be controversial and go with the time. The best way of action is not by saying no and sending girls back home, but by letting them find out on their own whether this western way of life actually carries any weight. Let young girl form a conclusion on their own, see for themselves how currupting and unreal that way of life really is. I don't mind bellybuttons and piercings as such, but prancing around half naked is a big no no in my books,,,,,,,mind you, babis iyo qaranjuufo every once in a while does wonders for the fresh mind Moti, sorry to disappoint you by dashing your self afflicted image of the disfunctional somali siblings in Europe, but hooyo is the one with the leather suun, not juxa

  16. Hey bambina, great taste in films....Have you seen "dilwale dulhania le jayenge"? If you liked kuch kuch, u'll love this. It stars kajol and shahrukh...Thats a fave of mine sis. Also "mein prem ki diwani hoon" is a must see. Tell me what you think, if you get a chance to see those films!!
  17. Enjoy will it lasts sister mine.... You had me opressed. Always knowing the trouble i was brewing. And putting full stop to the things i was doing. If a guy looked my way, you chased him away. Why couldn't you just let me play? If i went out you were there. I couldn't go anywhere! But then, as our realtionship progressed. I started to appreciate your eccentricness. You did it with such finess. You thought me tricks i didn't know. You dusted me off, you let me grow. I learned that you were well ahead of me. And had once been everything i was aiming to be. We now put our differences to rest. As ambiguous as sibling rivalry goes. We have been through our willfull youths passionate throes. And though minor disagreements still occur. Denouncements have lost their once attractive lures. An ode to you on this day i bring. My somewhat older sister, it's your very profounded praise that i sing...
  18. Considering the fact that even frogs can't find peace from these "dellicatesse" appreciaters, isn't this an ironic case of the pot calling the kettle....? I AM DISGUSTED
