  1. ^^^Rest assure you will be waiting a very longtime. Somalia is all that the world recognises at the moment.

Poor abdiladiif My doctor thought I was depressed too (tiredness a sign of depression), seriously laakin check your vitamin D levels. You need to start taking Vitamin D tablets as soon as possible. Like yourself I would sleep for 10 hours and still be tired. My mother diagnosed me, she insisted I was vitamin D deficient. My iron levels were fine, I was not anaemic. Anaemia can lead to tiredness. I went to the doctor I asked him to check my vitamin D levels and the result was shocking it was below 'detectable' levels. I have been on vitamin D levels for 2 months and I feel fully-charged. I sleep for 6 hours and I am not tired. I highly recommend you see a doctor. Majority of Somali men and Women are Vitamin D deficient. The Somali community in general have a high birth rate of Autism especially those in America and studies are linking this with Vitamin D deficiency. So its worth the check aboowe.
  3. Scary, I actually know someone that looks exactly like him, oh wait his name is also Abdi. He looks funky, a painter you say? I have a couple jobs that needs to be done in my house. I will be assisting him I am sure he will not mind at all
  4. I don't like angeelo....more of a malawax person ^.^
  5. Mzanzi lol, Couple years ago , I visited family in tanzania. It was a horrible experience, there I picked up a couple of swAhili words.(*SMILES*).
  6. Ngonge-Sure, sure, Embarrassed are we??? I would be too. Its a natural thing, to feel ashamed if you were once a jakoromabiibo. No hard feelings dee, the truth might be hard to swallow at times.
  7. ^^^Odayahow, Ofcourse you would now you grew up in the outback of Somalia. I will leave it to the experts. You are right laakiin, SA is far superior to the region you hail from in Somalia. If I must admit.
  8. Ngonge, The world is watching. When did Africa ever host an event this big? Never. Therefore its upon South Africa to put on a show. I am upset still no progress in Africa still stuck in dark ages still lagging behind the civilised world. Norsky,LOL, I am not an expert in African insects, perhaps you could shade some light on this subject. I am more than sure you had to chase away numerous types in your life in Africa, I grew up using insect repellent. Never paid attention to the type, and I don't intend to.
  9. I am currently watching the ceremony, I am embarrassed to be an African, oh my lord what has a cockroach got to do with the world game??? what are the white- south africans trying to say? africa is infested with cockroaches?? akhaas ufeey. The whole ceremony so far is so primitive with their zulu dancing. Perhaps, Africa should have waited atleast 20 years before thinking of hosting an event as huge as the world soccer cup. The seats are empty, ofcourse the poor south africans cant afford a ticket. Yes, its true, poverty in Africa is so rampant. I am watching this pathetic ceremony to see Knaan wave my flag. I spotted Naomi campbell in the crowd, she should have donated to South Africa. I would if I was her.
  10. I could never see myself with a jareer man, the only african I could see myself is with a somali-man. Marrying outside the race is something I wish never to do. I can't imagine falling for a non-Somali. I wish for someone that can share my values and culture with me. I would like my spouse to appreciate a koob of shaah with me, understand the meaning of khaaraan. Tolerate all the night calls. And yes understand everyone in my clan is my cousin by definition. He has to comment on my new dirac and most of all appreciate bariis isku dhax karis.
  11. What a sight, I have witnessed watching the world cup pre-ceremonoy. Knaan bless his heart and soul came on stage with our beautiful flag he waved it high up in the air with soooo much pride, I nearly burst in tears! Never in my 19 years of existence have I witnessed anything remotely close to such a scene. It was not the so called Puntland, Somaliland nor was it OG ADEENIA flag. Rather the one flag that has been recognised by all our forefathers. The one flag that has been present before my arrival in this world and will continue to be present with the will of All-Mighty, Insha'Allah. I am still dazzed in an emotional state. To see our flag soaring high was a symbol of hope that though crippled we are not dead. I pray for the recovery of the disarray crippling our mother country. Oh and I would like to make a shout out to the tall light coloured Somali brother at the front row , waving our flag so high. You made me PROUD as a SOMALI

  18. Any pointers would be appreciated with more emphasis made on ways to improve vocabulary. I tried reading news articles in Somali and that does not work. Too sophisticated and the news is always depressing. Are there any Somali books I can read? The only thing I found in my house is the Qur'aan translation. Surely, a lenthy stay in Somalia is not the only way!
  19. Maxaa toobikyaasha old-ka'ah la soo kufiyaa? Wax laga sheekeyay maala waaya?
  20. I need to vent but my introvert self will not allow me to divulge such a matter to anyone. Hmm, I could rant online to strangers but typing my current thought processes would require some effort.

  22. Walaal Amna, insha'Allah mid khair qabo Allah ha ku siiya. Qof kasta is tested in their own way, insha'Allah we're among the saabiruun. Perhaps you can visit your local imaam for advise. By the way, do not worry about too much about these lot. I am sure they are not this insensitive in real life. Rather, the forums are dry and they have nothing better to do with their time than complain. (Honestly, time to log off folks) ~Macsalama
