  2. To justify jihad in the name of god you would have to fight aggressors and disbelievers to create peace for the oprressed or even spread Islam to a region. But saaxib its a civil war between the former ICU, quarelling over nothing; both sides want to establish shariah law. One side is backed by terrorists their leader supposedly hiding in a cave in tora bora and the other side is backed every single state who has engaged in the Somalia conflict in the world. One side wants to establish peace through peaceful talks and negotiations and the other wants to continue the conflict. So would i be wrong if i chose the side which has the best chance of uniting all of Former Somalia and establishing a state which is recognized by the rest of the world and not some facke delusioned crazies from Afghanistan. Simply put by choosing the TFG youll be choosing peace and a new state with Puntland and quite possibly Somaliland joining and inshallah the country finally having a growing economy but choosing youll be choosing Alshabaab the other side of the bandwagon which is more war, more invasions ( Puntland, Somaliland next), more Ethiopian interventions, more deaths and before that happens the South becoming a base for Alqaeda and assosciates and the Horn spiraling out of control and having with US interventions like in Afghanistans; now i ask you who wants that? i dont think even the most dellusioned from the diaspora would wish for that; cause they can clearly see whats been happening in Afghanisan for the past 30 years.
  3. At least, 500, 000 civilians were massacred. In 1991, . [/qb] Who writ this qashin, how the hell did half a million people die. I thought you seccionists were claiming 50,000 and now this. Waa cajiib that statement, It would logitically impossible for a third world nation with a dozen planes to kill that many people; i mean the bombing of Dresden and Tokyo didnt do that. In fact never has it happened in history before. "The bombing and subsequent raids of government troops claimed tens of thousands of casualties." http://www.unpo.org/content/view/3570/142/ Notice it says casualties and not lifes. I suggest you change it Edit: Plus you cant start a thread by copying and pasting from another site; thats generally not allowed on forums. The administrators should look into this.
  4. ^ Somali woman need them to keep their hair from becoming nappy. If its not that theyd be hiding behind a veil.
  5. "So that also applies to Somali women with "nappy" hair as well?" Somalis are black right? so it applies to them as well, but we are not African American and we dont have the same issues when it comes to marriage. I would say that the reason has to do more with educated African American men marrying outside their race. I think the educated black woman should do exactly the same and hook up with white men which would make theme even. I know that Somalis dont have the same issues, but i hear of marriage problems and woman not able to find a man especially in the United states; i wonder why this is? any Haxalimo or Farah care to explain why they face problems in marrying and in marriages.

  8. Originally posted by peasant: I think the word sounds very sexy if it is only used by couples in the bedroom but outside world i find it to be very suggestive. spanking her in the buttock before s houting naaaaaayaaa!
  9. Ok how about Old lady, senior, older female relative = dumar Younger woman or girls = Halimo or Gabar
  10. Originally posted by Neumann: quote:Are there any reasons why Girls dislike the the word "naaya"? Because of its usage in a pejorative context, I'm sure. Its not supposedto be pejorative, whoever invented the word im sure meant it be used in the same context as that of Waryaa; its the equivalent and synymous with that word. I mean i wonder what happened in the past that made these word become distatefull to woman. I mean its not like youll object to being called nin or waryaa. Heck i even remember a girl objecting to the usage of the word gabar.lol.

  12. Originally posted by UZTAAD: what about naag, it is also rude, i think , polite words for women is Islaan, haweeney, gabar. but if you say naa xaliimo is ok lool, I remembered Naag is also distasteful, Queen Arrawello probably hijacked these words. Islaan or Islaamod are meant for Dumars or guests out of respects but you wont use it in school or college.
  13. I just remembered a Dugsi teacher used to call everyone regardless of gender Waryaa. And then he flopped one day and he called a girl Naaya; thats when things went bad for both. Some girls apparently prefer to get beaten then be called naaya, just shows how much they like that word.
  14. I always thought it was Synynomous with the word "waryaa" and its perfectly ok to call guys that.
  15. I see your a dreamer than worse than me I have a similar vision for Mogadishu but on a smaller scale but thats only when the war stops. To have anthing that remotely looks like that would at best need to be recognised by the UN and the states and develop trade relations; on top that it would need to have a rapidly growing economy. And when then ward of the demon club Alshabaab whatever they do manage to build .
  16. Originally posted by Queen Arawello: That woman doesnt look somali! maybe there has been a confusion. I think shes a Somali Bantu (Gosha or Jareer) Most of them have been sent to Somalia in the 19th century by "wretched" Zanzibarian Arab slave traders. With the exception of one article ive mostly heard good things about them i know that anii dadka somaalida cunsurii ku ahaanigireyn and that the lived in the Jubba and Shabelle rivers. Theres like a couple of hundred thousand in Somalia left (3000,000 - 400,000). Many have been taking back to Tanzania and extriated to the U.s. I notice that those who have been Somalized tend to know the Somali culture much better than the average Somali. You can see how shes embraces Michelle Obama; the average Somali woman would be too proud or upstruck to do that. p.s. Is it me or do Somali Jareers look more Somali than other non - Cushitic Africans; that woman has the fat cheaks and motherly look. I dont know why but i think its either the clothes or contact with Somali Rahanweynn people.

Probably because Mohammed (pbuh) said "Bells are the musical instruments of the Shaytaan." He didn't say anything about blackboards. Don't know about Chess. Thus, the whole prohibition on bells is Islamically sound. There are no religious arguments against this ban. Al-Shabaab are merely obeying the commands and examples of the prophet of Islam. Then i agree with it ofcourse, i always thought they sounded unislamic.

  20. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/100418/world/international_us_somalia_conflict_330 "All the mortar rounds missed the airport but landed in civilian areas," Ali Muse, coordinator of ambulance services, told Reuters. "They have massacred our people, they don't care for our people, our flag and sovereignty," wept Fadumo Abdi, whose son was killed in the blast. Somalia's parliament had been expected to convene Sunday for the first time since December after repeated setbacks, but the meeting was postponed for four days for "technical reasons."
  21. All these celebrations are nothing but pathetic.
  22. Dont let your emotions get the better of you saaxib, wed like to see some shiikh attitude next time. So much so that youd be unrecognisable. And change that Avatar, it has a Somaliland flag on it; highly confrontational.
  23. Ye gotta wonder where he learned how to speak like that , still its not as funny as it used to be at first; kinda repettitive and becoming childish; qahshin is the word for it.
  24. LOOOL did you know that the president is a Tutsi and Tutsis are of "Cushitic" origin. Look at the expression of the Somali ambassadors face hes probably aware that he looks like him.
