  1. I know its too difficult to imagine a Dumar version of Siad barre. But SOmalia is in a desperate state and we need to have strong folks to lead it. Woman honestly cant pull Somalia out of the hellish situation it currently is in (3Million displaced, 2 Million in camps outside the country or as War refugees) And lastly the issue of seccession in the Northwest and dealing with Ethiopia and the OGD. Stoic@ your kind of thinking is why Somalis in Somalia cant agree with eachother.
  2. learn your history sxb, bringing the 5 regions in the horn together was opposed by 3 Nations, USA, Soviet Union and Ethiopia. Ofcourse it was initially supported by the SYL, it was in the interests of all the Somali parties and the representatives that were with the Brits. In fact even when the idea was confronted by those nations unlike the Britain and the other Somali parties who stopped caring; SYL pursued it. The idea to bring the 5 regions together ultimately collapsed because 1) Three influential nations were opposed to it 2) THe British werent interested enough and didnt want to risk Damaging relations with Haille Selassies Ethiopia who helped them against the Fascists. I must admit the British were better at state building then the Italians, but at the time who couldve trusted after they betrayed the ******is, fought the Darwish, Betrayed the NEP citizens and prioritized relations with Commonwealth Kenya rather than the act on the interests and welfare of the Somali citizens in those regions. The early 1960s Somalia was supposed to be a greatly difficult time as we had adapt to industrial world, but despite all the obstacles and dirty politics that surrounded these men guuided the nation through and acted on the interests of the Somali people and while most of our famillies were nomads.
  3. Nice comparison Jacayl-Baro, just shows how far the degradedation in society went. Somalia was in a very sucular yet very politically early age. The civil war is just a transitional stage
  4. ^^ If his melanin is truely identical to that of a Sub saharan African and not Arab 1) He cant be Bantu or Nilotic 2) which leaves the North East Africans 3) Amharas and Tigrays are speculated to have originated from South Arabia which is present day Yemen and speak a Semitic language 3) Somalis originate from Upper Egypt on the other hand 4) hes potentially either Somali, Beja, Afar or Oromo.a Sax?
  5. Sacad Ducaalay Maxaa isku waalowsaa maanta waryaa, isdaji haye!

  7. Faroole looks like a Somali version of Kim Jong il in this picture. lol. The health minister looks like hes about to kill someone in the last picture.
  8. Former desert colony who only survives with the port and being a modern-day colony of france I agree that it behaves like a dead colony but dont you stop and think before making such an ironic statement about your own situation; that the pseudo state you whos seccionsist agenda you embrace bases its whole partitioning and vigorous conquests from Somalia on a century meaningless colony; and constantly tries to appease them by making outrageous statements for the queen and desperation to join the commonwealth. The pathetic thing they did was sign a defence treaty with France, we couldnt invade and annex back then and Somaliweyn died along with NEP in Kenya in those regions.
  9. this is breach of Serbias sovereignty. Djibouti is also desperately poor a bit like the rest of the Horn. Djibouti has a chance to grow and prosper, where unlike their neighbours their not held down by war. They should make the most of it, their gdp growth yearly was only around 3% much of the 90s like war torn Somalia. Only recently did they put in 5% growth.
  10. ^^^ Well said. That mans one of the main catalysts for the never-ending Muslim civil war.
  11. ^^ In 1985, Farole completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Commerce from the Somali National University in Mogadishu. He followed that five years later with a Master of Business Administration (Major in Financial Management) from a joint partnership between the Somali National University-SOMTAD and the State University of New York at Albany. In 2005, he added to his resume a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Politics) from La Trobe University in Australia.[1]
  12. Raamsades anology of David Cameron and a revered person such as Prophet (SAW) is laughable, and shows how little he understands about the sensitivity of the matter.# Ibtisam@ those who reacted violently towards the postings were a few in comparison in those affected and were mainly from politically sensitive regions. Most Muslims reacted peacefully towards it by protesting.
  13. In a report to the Security Council circulated Wednesday, Ban said the overall security situation in Somalia "remains highly volatile and unpredictable." Are the so called liberators (alshabaab) doing anything about this catastrophe? where is the regional government they should establish to counter this. What are they doing for those suffering and imploding in the overcrowded refugee camps. In another article it says that the UN estimates 350,000 more Somalis will flee. This is truely a population and economic drain a disaster for those who want peace for the region to say the least.
  14. How will you behave when she throws you out of the house on the first day of the world cu.p

Originally posted by Nassir: All I can say with perceptive aforethought is that the current leadership of Puntland has done a great job in countering the hostility and colonial designs of the West and its allies. They have shown that they are very resilient, well-prepared, politically savvy, and Somali unionists to the core. It's almost an unsurmountable obstacle to deal with the anarchist South and their al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Shabaab and the secessionist North when direct funds are daily coming from external forces opposed to Somalia's full restoration. God-willing, we will.. Keep your faith strong. I agree and would also admit that we may have produced infamous people such as A.Yusuf from that region and clan, but looking at the bigger picture and future of Somalias stake Puntland is what has been what has been holding Somalia together from the seccessionists who wish to partition our land and and the violence produced from the anarchic SOuth, which we actively engage in and send Soldiers to (Unlike the North-west) and also host large number of somalis fleeing violence from the South which we welcome and treat respectivelly call IDP and not Refugees We kept both the bad elements of South and N.West at bay and engage diplomatically and fight on both fronts, with this Puntland and the TFG are the only ones creating a chance and vision for a future Somalia state and subsequently giving light to Somalia (greater) galbeed.
  16. Horta, does (British) Somaliland even exist and if it does since when did it successfully seccede from Italian Somaliland region.
  17. maca sokor caleyk. Lazy G " Islam is the only religion remaining in the world with special privileges " , Who gives a damn what that she-devil disgrace thinks, if you wanna make a point across quote someone else. As a Muslim you cant always be at selfcriticsm. As for him not being safe, tough! he shouldve known the sensitive things he was involving himself in the first place. To potray someone as revered as the Prophet (SAW) as a dog is beyond free speach and posting constantly in the name of so called free speach (not once) after decent Muslims protested is just bullying and hurting the feeling of normal people. Im sure free speach wasnt created to protect these sort of actions.
  18. Ive never head of a Nothwestern Somali find it offensive but i would speculate its because it would somehow be alligned with the days of Siad Barre. A Djiboutian? you pulled this out of nowhere probably just to give credibillity and further the nonsence you wrote in the first place. The Islamists are trouble though  I think theyve already replaced it and banned it in the South, if you take it out youll probably get a Taliban style beheading Muxuu yiri ninkaas qabiildiid manaloo sharxii karaa. It seems hes been banned for it. Im guessing it was a knee jerk reaction.

The last part implies that Somaliland is a clan state, so im saying it would be justifiable if a Somalia state played the clan card against them to take large swathes of these regions.
  20. ^ Does it also include Those from the NFD and ******, because they rightfully arent recognized and dont recognize themselfes to be from Somalia. Why should the land south from Jubaland until north to Caloole represent Somalia when it never has in the past. That land always use to be a part of a colonial administration and like you lot was also known as "Somaliland" the masters were just from a different country, thats all. SOmalia has never existed without the North-west region, without the North The South and North will always be known as Somaliland. So the SOuth cannot claim the name and country Somalia because it never was Somalia. First step to curing the civil war is if all the lands of "not" Italian Somaliland but Somalia is united. Cajiib, 20 years and the division is still ongoing, the Somali people are divided among colonial lines and thinking, clanism, application of shariah. I mean Somalis are shedding blood for every single trivial thing. If the North West seccede, Sool and Sanaag is staying and a future Somalia state will take in these regions. Do you know why? because of the clan.
  21. Originally posted by Mr. Somalia: LOL..@ this thread!~ Somalis all want to be president, but no one wants to be follower. So who will staff your new hospitals and schools, Haatu? From the Diaspora and within SOmalia nooh (there are loads), he will train new doctors and give them nurses good pay. Also open up new universities and expand existing ones, fund high school education and wolaa thats the basis for building up your healthcare.
