  1. ^^ Stop with the dividing tactics, sxb. Personally though i believe Ethiopia deserves a share, since its mostly their natural recources. But looking at it the other way it would be devastating for Egypt if it lost it which practically lives off on the nile.
  2. He was resisting saying it was in Ethiopias sole interests or that Ethiopia was pushing the hardest for the Nile water share. He claimed that it was in the equal interests of all the African countries which isnt true. Ethiopia needs it more and has been pursuing for it more historically than any other African Nile country. Let me say that Egypt and Ethiopia, two one of the most largest millitaries in Africa clashing is in the interests of greater Somalia folks here.
  3. Cowke wii kaa taalaa sxb your losing it, how could the North western Somalia army reach there if there if their seperated by the Puntland border It must have been an terrorist attack.
  4. This warlord is a clanist, The deal between Asgaard and Darman, a member of the powerful Hawiyes clan is Somalia, is especially explosive because the European Union has been training Somali security forces of the interim government in Uganda. Thirteen Bundeswehr soldiers are also participation in the European Union training mission (EUTM) in Somalia http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,5601271,00.html This clanist and his millitia will be nothing but trouble to the TFG and Somalia as a whole.
  5. The soldiers are Ethnic Somalis from the North western region, dont worry its not a war between Ethiopia and Puntland. But this has already been discussed to death yaa Ailamos Head to the politics section.
  6. Serbia should retelliate by recognizing Somaliland
  7. My opinion about the hotel bombing is that whether they did it or not is speculative and there isnt enough evidence that they were directly involved, but the strategy used was Alqaeda" and is also similar to the one where a suicide bombers blowed himself up in that graduate ceremony. These strategies and killings are foreign and came with Alshabaab. That much we know.
  8. Almaqaan@ Ofcourse being Muslim would dictate that there is nothing wrong with using the verses from the quran, but the reason i told you wasnt because there was anything wrong with it but because of its use, its futile to use against these folks especially when it comes to talking about a specific actions relating to events like this. Whole threads were killed off when talking about whether the tfg or Alshabaab is islamic, their is no convincing them that way. If you have political knowledge it wont be difficult to debate with them. Mr Somalia@ the answer you require is found in the two threads Maadey posted, he disclaims Alshabaab involvement it in the 2nd answer.
  9. Allmagan@ THeres no use bringing Quranic verses in, your thinking emotionally when you do this keep it political as it should be, since this is a ICU civil war or you could call it a Muslim civil waR. Both want to establish an state ruled by the shariah, but both are affliated with different entities. This is where they mainly differ and why their fighting today. Hypocrisy doesnt come from Shariif but comes from the folks that support Alshabaab in this thread. They supported the man who created the ICU in 2006 and created the Islamic fighters you see today, captured and fought against the warlords to establish an Islamic Somalia state and now theyve turned their back against him for what exactly? because he used the United nations or is it because he is affliated with non-Muslim countries. In that case who is Alshabaab affliated with the exception of terrorist organizations. Also for those who have little knowledge of what might happen and the future prospect of our nation is to take a look at and research 1990s Afghanistan, this is all remisicient of the situation over there.
  10. It looks we have a couple of scientist inventors in the midst mashallah, thanks for posting this Prince.
  11. The only reason why Amisom is there is because Alshabaab decided to wage war against the Tfg and not sit down and negotiate Hes a "moderate" because hes not affliated to the Taliban and Alqaeda. The ICU was broken into these lines in the first place, an Alqaeda camp which consisted of Alshabaab leaders and a Non alqaeda one which was Shariif. So Shariif is not a hypocrite in this regard as he doesnt want Somalia to fall into the alqaeda camp.
  12. In terms of beatiful football, no team in the Prem League can beat Barcelona in that department. But the truth is only the top 2 in the La Liga could be considered superpowers in football which could compete alongside the likes of the top 4 in the Prem league. Valencia is worse off without their star player now, Athletico Madrid has an aging team, Villareal is no good either and Real Madrids new signings havent really proven themselfes to be the top notches their supposed to be. 1. Liverpool just had a bad year, like Arsenal did in 2006-07, they can spring back to their old form easily. 2. Man city isnt a complete team yet in all areas in play, but they will only get stronger with the new signings 3. Man u with the looks of it will only weak but they will still to contend for the Prem league. 4. Arsenal still have Van Persie.
  13. ^^ Stop it with twisting our religion YOU, its well known and a common knowledge even among those with little knowledge of the religion that female Muslim are not allowed to marry gaals. If Sherban wants to marry a Somali woman, then he needs to search for a christian one. Im sure that he ll find some out there.
  14. ^^ Lol at the irony, what on earth did your pathetic enclave amount to? Somalia may be broken but atleast it exist and the tfg has full jurisdiction over your recognition. I was expecting such an emotional outburst when confronted with the truth and that is that your part of Somalia and your enclave is stuck within that. It wont be long laakin until Alshabaab or a Somalia state come knocking at your door. We wont leave our North western region alone and so far havent. Until then do your keep sucking off to melez (who willl never acknowledge you existance) and killing ssc citizens over your sad state offairs continue with the desperate yet futile attempts in getting any sort of recognition. Its been 20 pathetic years but do keep on.
  15. Sacad Since when did you give a Sh*t about the people in the scc, you only want to get those colonial borders completed. Edit: The situation in Somalia is all wrong, Ethiopian troops, id rather have Alshabaab take over Puntland then for us to succumb so low. They would take over Somaliland, no doubt
  16. Who the hell is gonna replace him if he is. No vision Duke but empty talk, nothing sxb; Faroole isnt cut for the job so you might aswell forget about him.
  17. ^ And when we do the North western region which styles itself with the colonial name Somaliland will be part of it. But until the South gets its act together do keep desperately trying.
  18. Xajji Xunjuf these "hotel" boys are stopping you from getting your recognizing and the international community by and large consults and takes their policies towards you lot much more seriously, that is that your part of Somalia. But dont give up yet folks in your recogniztion, its been "hard" desperate 20 years with that, but do keep on with your attempts.
  19. Whenever i read about violence in Somalia, one of the first things that always comes to my mind is the Dabaab refugee camp. The videos ive watched off it are really sad. Glad some of the people in this site are also concerned of it and doing something about it.
  20. Its a 2 team contest in the la liga sxb, even the third, fourth and fifth strongest teams in the La liga have nothing against Man city and Tottenham. These spanish teams are only expirementing, you can see it wasnt so successful for Real madrid.
  21. Ibt. This clanisation of charity are one the many symptons of the civil war and the division in Somali people, and you could constantly see that when you go to the politics section. I responded to the example Canjeex gave which was prioritizin other peoples problems, which seems to be quite widespread. And i pointed out (in the last line) that theres nothing wrong with organizing charities for other Muslim problems, such as sending money during the time when Gaza was under siege, but i was simply talking about priotizing Somalia and how politics divides Somalis. Charity doesnt have politics in an area like Bangladesh or India, where society and economy is a problem and not conflict. but you cant avoid taking politics into account when dealing with regions such as SOmalia which has conflict within the people. So politics by default. ^^Walahi everytime I come across waxan I get a severe one sided headache and my eye itches. I promised myself so many times never to do a Somali charity thing again. Wallahi you sound like you lost your mind here, shaah cab like Norfsky said. Somalis are a messed up in many ways , i already know this which is why i havent already lost my mind.
  22. Originally posted by *Ibtisam: Canjeex people like you do my head in walahi. I don't have the energy right now to put you in your place, but your kind of thinking is why we (Both as Somali and Muslims) are so messed up. I asked these young Somalis to come to the charity event on the 5th June. They asked where the money is going, I said an orphanage center in Hargisa, one of them said, my own people are burning in Moqdisho, I might as well give the £50 to them, maxa Hargisa iga shan iyo toban ah. So you think you have a valid point, but the people with that level of thinking never end up doing anything for anyone, not even their own brothers, excuses, excuses, please. I’ve worked in this area long enough to know, such people send all the their time saying, why is she raising funds for Palestine, Iraq, instead of Somalis, then it is why not people for X place or X clan. **Rant Mode off* P.s. By the way I do have “stand up for Gaza” as profile picture, and “close G-bay”, “Islamaphobia watch,” “Somali IDP” among other things. It is impossible to care for the suffering of Somalis, without feeling or caring for the suffering of OTHERS. I will bet my bottom dollar anyone who claims to care about Somalis and no one else really cares about NO ONE but them and their family. Sheego ciid leeh diis. Canjeex made a good point, how often will you see a Palestinian or Arabs contributing to or prioritizing the Somali cause and situation? When our problems are far worse and we have far less help from the world by and large. And about the Muqdishu and Hargeisa thing, whoever uses that as an excuse for not donating at all to any region in Somalia is selfish. "But" if they have a choice of donating to Muqdishu simply because its in a worse situation and use such an reason is right and you have no right to object to it. I believe from what i see that its actually Hargeisans that have this problem and would rather donate to their region for regional reasons and believing the issues are seperate (since they think its a seperate country) when the truth is both are a collective Somali problem and Muqdishu is in a far far far worse situation. You shouldnt even compare the two. Canjeex is simply talking about priorities here, no ones talking about not caring about or donating to other Muslim causes.

  24. Naxariis darantihiin, this kid doesnt deserve 27 years, he didnt kill anyone!! They should take factors such as extreme poverty and instabillity in the nation into account when sentencing him, plus hes young and clearly regretss his actions.
  25. http://news.therecord.com/article/713766 NAIROBI, Kenya - The mother of a Somali pirate who pleaded guilty to charges of hijacking a U.S.-flagged ship and kidnapping its captain appealed to President Barack Obama on Wednesday to pardon her son and grant him citizenship. Abdiwali Abdiqadir Muse pleaded guilty in a U.S. federal court on Tuesday to several charges, including hostage-taking and conspiracy. He faces a minimum 27 years in prison. Sentencing is set for Oct. 19. Reached by phone in the central Somali town where she lives, Muse's mother asked President Obama for leniency, saying her son is too young to have been tried as an adult. "Please, please President Obama, please, American people, please release my son and grant him citizenship to help us," Muse's mother, Adar Abdirahman Hassan told The Associated Press by phone. "You live in a safe prosperous country but we live in a chaotic country. With all your power and generosity and kindness, it will be a stain on your name to punish this child and throw him in jail," Hassan said. Prosecutors say Muse led four pirates who stormed the Maersk Alabama in April 2009 as it carried humanitarian supplies 280 miles (450 kilometres) off Somalia's coast. Navy snipers fatally shot three pirates and freed ship Captain Richard Phillips of Underhill, Vt., to end the standoff. Muse's age has been in dispute since the start of the case, with his lawyers insisting last April that he was 15 and should be tried as a juvenile. Prosecutors convinced a judge he was at least 18. Muse's mother said her son is too young to stand trial. "I shudder to imagine that Abdiwali will face a minimum 27 years in prison," she said, her voice cracking with emotion. "I don't expect Americans to punish this little kid. He was duped into piracy by adult friends." Asked why she believes Muse pleaded guilty, Hassan said her son was afraid of a possible death sentence and believed a plea would save his life. Muse said her son used to call her once a week from prison but that she hasn't heard from him in about three months. Hassan said her son ended past conversations with "soothing words." "He always praised his life in America. He told me, 'I'm in a nice place, better than Somalia. Mom, I feel bad for you. I'm happy and studying,'" she said. Muse told the judge on Tuesday that his crew had not intentionally targeted an American vessel. The pirates held Phillips hostage for several days on a sweltering, enclosed lifeboat that was soon shadowed by three U.S. warships and a helicopter. The end came when Navy sharpshooters on the USS Bainbridge picked off the three pirates. The American Navy has taken into custody more than 20 suspected pirates in the violence-plagued waters off Somalia and nearby regions, where U.S. warships are part of an international anti-piracy flotilla.
