  2. asalamu calykum good q sis samira well here is my opinion. what is better than knowing your husband died fighting for Allah, knowing that on the day of judgement he will intercade for you and could save you and many of your family members from the cadaab. i know it would be hard letting him go but the truth "INNA LILAH WA'INA ILAYHI RAAJICUUN" to allah we belong to him we return, and its better for us to return to him while we are on the right path. ps: lool OG_Moti wasalaam
  3. asalamu calykum masha'allah buubto it was a very good idea to answer xafsa's q "during the time of the Khaliifs there was a women that fought along side the men in a battle against the romans. The leader of the troops at that time was the sword of allah. What was the name of this women and who is the sword of allah?" i think, i am not really sure that the woman was nasaiba bint ka'ab and the sward of allah was khalid bin walid. i don't have a q now but i would like some one to answer murad's q which was "WHO WAS THE KEEPER OF RASUUL'S(S.C.W.) secrets, and the only sahabi who the RASUUL (S.C.W.) told the munaafiqiin in the sahaaba." p.s i don't know the answer to this q salaams
  4. asalmu calykum masha'allah sis, thanx for that it was very informative. jazakallah khayran wasalaam.
  5. THE SENSE OF GOOSE In the autumn when you see geese heading south for the winter flying along in the "V" formation, you might be interested in knowing what science has discovered about why they fly that way. It has been learnt that as each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following by flying in a "V" formation, the whole folk adds at least 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own. ......PEOPLE WHO ARE PART OF A TEAM AND SHARE A COMMON DIRECTION GET WHERE THEY ARE GOING QUICKER AND EASIER, BECAUSE THEY ARE TRAVELLING ON THE TRUST OF ONE ANOTHER...... Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go through it alone and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the power of the folk ......IF WE HAVE A MUCH SENSE AS A GOOSE, WE WILL SHARE INFORMATION WITH THOSE WHO ARE HEADED THE SAME WAY AS WE ARE GOING...... When the leads goose gets tired, he rotates back in the wing and another goose takes over. ......IT PAYS TO SHARE TASKS/LEADERSHIP AND TAKES TURNS IN DOING HARD JOBS...... The geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep their speed ......WORDS OF SUPPORT INSPIRATION HELP ENERGIZE THOSE ON THE FRONT LINE, HELPING THEM TO KEEP PACE IN SPITE OF THE DAY-TO-DAY PRESSURES AND FATIGUE...... Finally, when a geese gets sick or is wounded by a gun shot and falls out, two geese fall out of the formation and follow the injured one down to help and protect him. They stay with him until he is able to fly or dead and they launch out with another formation to catch up with their group. ......IF WE HAVE THE SENSE OF A GOOSE, WE WILL STAND BY EACH OTHER WHEN THINGS GET ROUGH...... The next time you see a formation of geese, or see sheep stay within a herd, or watch animals hunt in packs, remember .... .... wasalaam.
  6. asalmu calykum jazakallahu khayran Baby_G for the post. Rock's chick here is the proof sister, Narrated 'alqamah: 'Abdullahi (bin mas'ud) said "allah curses those ladies who practise tatooing and those who get themselves tatooed, and those ladies who get their hair removed from their eyebrows and faces except the beard and moustache, and those who make artificial spaces between their teeth in order to look more beautiful whereby they change Allah's creation." His saying reached a lady from Banu Asad, called Umm ya'uqub, who come(to Abdullah) and said "Ihave come to know that you have cursed such and such ladies?" He replied, "why should I not curse these whom Allah's messenger SAW has cursed and who are (cursed) in Allah's book!" Umm ya'uqub said "I have read the whole Quran, but I did not find in it what you say" He said, "varily, if you have read it , you have found it. Didn't you read: "And whatsoever the Messenger (Mohammed SAW) gives you take and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain(from it)" (V.59:7) she replied, "Yes i did" He said "Varily Allah's messenger SAW forbade such things" She said "but i see your wife doing these things?" He said "Go and watch her". She went and watched her but could not see anything in support of her statment. On that he said "If my wife was as you thought, I would not keep her in my company (ie i would divorce her)". Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.6. hadith no.408)
  7. asalamu calykum masha'allah, jazakallahu khayran, its always good to know about the companions of the prophet S.A.W, may allah make us the ones who take them as our role models. jazakallahu khayran wasalaam
  8. asalamu calykum wow masha'allah, jazzakallaahu khayran sister thats very beautiful. i looooooove you all from the bottom of my heart for allah sake may allah make us those who love each other for allah sake and on the day of judgement may allah provide his shelter for us. indeed it is the scariest day ever. spread the salaam for the prophet (saw)said "By allah, in whose hand is my soul, you will not enter paradise unless u believe, and you will not believe unless u love one another. May i tell you something that if u do you may love one another, spread salaam amongest yourselves". wabillahi towfiiq. wasalaam
  9. asalmu calykum masha'allah i enjoyed reading that very much. that was a very good reminder sis masha'allah may Allah grant u paradise and all of us. this shows us the beauty of islam which has conquered the hearts of millions of ppl and won them into its fold. this is what Muhamed Ali Clay said on the 15th of july 1989 speaking to the daily Almadinah, jeddah, "I have had many beautiful moments in my life. But the feelings i had while standing on Mount Arafat on the day of the Hajj was the most unique. I felt exalted by the indescribable spiritual atmosphere there as over a million and a half pilgrims invoked Allah to forgive them of their sins and bestow upon them His choicest blessings. it was an exhilarating experience to see people belonging to different colours, races and nationalities; kings, heads of states and ordinary men from very poor countries all clad in two simple white sheets praying to allah without any sense of either pride or inferiority. It was a practical manifestation of the concept of the equality of islam" May Allah guide us all to the truth and to the right path. Ameen, Ameen, Ameen. wasalaam
  10. asalamu calykum thanxs sisters for ur reply and amin to your ducaa may allah grant us all paradise. DrRomantic, subxanallah, i am shocked but what can i say other than may allah guide u to the truth and may allah show that not all women in this world are the same, it really hurts me to see a muslim brother saying things like this about his muslim sisters in islam. may allah guide us all to right path. wasalaam
  11. asalmu calykum jazakallahu khayran ya ukhti xafsa that was beautiful, may allah make us all the inmates of paradise. 'Iyad b. Him-ar reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), while delivering a sermon one day, said: Behold, my Lord commanded me that I should teach you which you do not know and which He has taught me today. (He has instructed thus) : The property which I have conferred upon them is lawful for them. I have created My servants as one having a natural inclination to the worship of Allah but it is Satan who turns them away from the right religion and he makes unlawful what has been declared lawful for them and he commands them to ascribe partnership with Re, although he has no justification for that. And verily, Allah looked towards the people of the world and He showed hatred for the Arabs and the non-Arabs, but with the exception of some remnants from the People of the Book. And He (further) said: I have sent thee (the Holy Prophet) in order to put you to test and put (those to test) through you. And I sent the Book to you which cannot be washed away by water, so that you may recite it while in the state of wakefulness or sleep. Verily, Allah commanded me to burn (kill) the Quraish. I said: My Lord, they would break my head (like the tearing) of bread, and Allah said: You turn them out as they turned you out, you fight against them and We shall help you in this, you should spend and you would be conferred upon. You send an army and I would send an army five times greater than that. Fight against those who disobey you along with those who obey you. The inmates of Paradise are three: One who wields authority and is just and fair, one who Is truthful and has been endowed with power to do good deeds. And the person who is merciful and kind hearted towards his relatives and to every pious Muslim, and one who does not stretch his hand in spite of having a large family to support. And He said: The inmates of Hell are five: the weak who lack power to (avoid evil), the (carefree) who pursue (everything irrespective of the fact that it is good or evil) and who do not have any care for their family or for their wealth. And those dishonest whose greed cannot be concealed even in the case of minor things. And the third. who betray you. morning and evening, in regard to your family and your property. He also made a mention of the miser and the liar and those who are in the habit of abusing people and using obscene and foul language. Abu Ghassan in his narration did not make mention of "Spend and there would be spent for you." muslim wasalaam

    MIRROR

Asalmu calykum w.w i hope yall enjoy this as much as i did Mirror Abu Hurayrah, (radiallaahu anhu), narrated that Allaah's Messenger, sallallaahu alayhi wassallam, said: ‹The believer is a mirror for the believer and the believer is the brother of the believer. He safeguards his property for him and defends him from behind.› [Reported by Al-Bukhaaree, in Al Adaabul Mufrad, (no 239), Abu Dawood 3/1370/no 4900 and others. Its chain of narration is hasan.] What a profound and inspiring hadeeth! And how rich and far reaching in meaning! And how great a responsibility upon the one who comes to know of it... So let us look at how we treat our brothers and sisters in Islaam, and how we mistreat them. How we can learn from them and how we can teach them. Each of us is a mirror to the other. When we look at our brothers and sisters, let us suppose that we are looking at a reflection of ourselves. The faults of our brothers and sisters are like our own faults. Their mistakes are like our mistakes. Consider that we must correct in ourselves those shortcomings we see in our brother and sister - our mirrors. For we cannot be sure to recognize our faults by examining ourselves alone. Let us allow our brothers and sisters to benefit from us also. We are their mirror, a reflection for them to study. So help them to correct themselves just as we strive to correct ourselves.... And let us refrain from feeling proud just because we do not have some character flaw that we find in our brother or sister. Understand that we are not any better than they are. Rather it is Allaah's enormous favour upon us that he has not afflicted us with this bad trait. Similarly, they may not have another flaw that we have. So let us remain humble. Cease to look down upon them if they commit a sin. Would we not be ashamed of our bad deeds and seek to hide them from people? Would we not wish for compassion in the face of our shame and disgust with ourselves? Then let us think the same for our brother. If he behaves badly, dispense with the rudeness, and intolerance. Administer patience and concern at their plight, for we too are prone to sin. We know, and oh so well, what it is to stray. So why must we harshly rebuke when we would hate to receive such treatment ourselves? The believer is the brother of the believer, so think that we must also hate for our brother what we hate for ourselves. Advise him privately, just as we would like to be advised. Cover his misdeed just as we would cover our own misdeeds. And pray for his forgiveness just as we would pray for our own..... Let us desist from spreading tales or listening to gossip about our brother and sister. Would we tolerate such talk about our own selves? Our brother deserves no less dignity. Remember besides, that this is a major sin, for which Allaah admonishes us thus: «Do not spy on one another nor speak ill of each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, you would abhor it…» >>>[al-Hujuraat 49:12] Let us rush to defend him also from other people's backbiting and slander, just as we would vigorously defend our own self from slanderous speech, as the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam, advised: ‹Whoever defends his brother's honour in his absence, will be entitled to Allaah's protection from the Fire.› [Ahmad. Saheeh] If a brother or sister has hurt us, refrain from being quick to admonish them, or hold a grudge. Seek to understand the reason for this apparent wrong. If it is due to a weakness, strengthen them. If it is due to forgetfulness, gently remind them. If it is due to ignorance, enlighten them. And ultimately, forgive them, «Do you not wish that Allaah should forgive you?» [Noor 24:22] Let us continue to think well of our brothers and sisters- our mirrors. Would we not wish them to think well of us? Only Allaah knows how the fire of regret and remorse has set ablaze their hearts. How they might crave our acceptance and friendship once again. Follow the virtuous example of Prophet Yoosuf, alayhis salaam. His brothers plotted to get rid of him, and threw him down a well, not caring what happened to him. Yet he, alayhis salaam, countered his brothers' persecution with gratitude to Allaah and such compassion towards his persecutors, when he said: «He was indeed good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you all here out of the desert after Shaytaan had sown enmity between me and my brothers.» [Yoosuf, 12:100] Look at Prophet Yoosuf (alayhis salaam)'s tender heart! How he refrains from blaming his brothers, even after their evil conduct, and instead assigns their lapses to Shaytaan. He forgives and rejoins the ties of brotherhood and love, even after the pain he endured. The believer protects his brother's property and defends him from behind. Let us look at the care and attention we give to our possessions, the gifts we lavish upon ourselves. So why is it not so with our brothers and sisters? Our outward position displays our comfort and ease, while our brothers and sisters weep from their suffering. Do they not deserve our comfort and protection? Why are we so indifferent to them? Dear reader, ponder much over this hadeeth, the deep wisdom in it, the great importance of it and the benefit to be gained from it. Inshaa Allaah, with it unspoken bitterness can cease, and Muslims can become true brothers and sisters again. It is for us to show the inhabitants of this world what a true Muslim is. So, in you, let the world see a reflection of all that is good and pure. Encourage others to follow your example, but do not be boastful, for it is Allaah alone Who has placed this goodness in you. And do not forget to be grateful for the good you find in your brother and sister and let them be examples for you to follow….
  15. asalamu calykum shaqsi ur right men do work hard in dead end jobs but not all of them. the reason why i am saying this is becouse u see alot men these days especially back home not caring about their wives or paying attention to them and thats why when these women come to the western countries they disobay their husbands and leave their kids because they hear about womens rights and think they have power over everything messing up thier lives and the lives of thier families. did u see the ruwaayad QABYO? that ruwaayad just says it all. some men bring their own distructions to thier families, its really thier fault for driving these women away. this brings me back to ur question and the answer is how can women who are treated like this support thier husbands. i am not speaking about every man or women simply the ones that i have seen. wasalaam

  19. asalmu calykum shaqsi to answer u q, most of our women support their men but the problem is does the man listen when his wife gives him an advice? what i am trying to say here is that she can't always give out advices or be there to support a man who doesn't listen to her or take notice of her. And the other thing is that its gotta work both ways he has to be there to support her in whatever she does and not use her as his slave. wasalaam.
  20. asalmu calykum i would like to contribute to this but i have no knowledge of it, however i would like to give u a little advice, our beloved prophet scw said 'i gurantee a home in paradise for a person who gives up arguments and disputes even if he is on the truth.......' so it would be better for all of u to just leave it as it is. a sis with advice wasalam.
