^True - indeed, we wish them all the best. I actually felt sorry for them, they felt they were low class here in UK, thats was enough to erode any sense of self respect or love they have for themselves. I couldnt relate to that, as a diasporan born and bred, we have always had a sense of belonging with our families, community and nation even though we were miles away from Somalia. Marka maa fahmo ciyalkaan qurbaha jooga why feel inferior or low class?

^So, you got the job?
-
^I can think of one - why are you all choosing to live in this run down neighbourhood - it seemed like a good place, xalimo iyo xawo aa degna, wexee yiradeen Muslimka ayaa kuu badaan.

The boys are immatured and seem to be on a long holiday rather a learning process. Kudos! to the girl though. ps.The parents are still failing them - sending them money so they live it at large isnt going to teach those boys any lessons - sometimes tough love is required, they should make them earn their living with hard work.

Sayid -The jungle justice of clan against clan wasnt what some of us had in mind - just the ciyaal xafadaa kind, wait for him by a luuq at night - beat him senseless or the mafia kind, to be arrange he wakes up with the fishes in some island..lol

Alpha, am an individual, I would marry whom ever I fancy to marry - as long as they are believers[Muslim]. Does that answer your question?
-
^He loves her and she loves him - why punish her for their mistake? Somalis are hilarious most of the time, especially when it comes to such marriages/situations - toloow yaa bentaa uu sheegee ineey ummada kale kaa sareyaan? This brings backs some memories..it never seized to amaze me, the mentality.
-
^sigh* Jac, waa runtisaa - the girl is unrealistic, been be ii suu shegtee - like Rudy said, she deserve mid been badaan, as most Somali girls think like that only to be married to liars, lazy so and so's and worse more mid oo principle leheen.. Ninku waa runtisaa hadhaa kaa aragtiid ii soo sheeg ana gursanii laha..looooooooool, astagfirullah. indeed.

Oh my, I thought as Chimera it was banter, bisinka ninku wax baa kaa qaldan subhanallah. Hagling pregnant women, beating our very own Ibti is definetly a hanging sentence worth. Then again even the likes of him, have those whom will shield him just because they shared an ancestral..

Oba - insha'allah. Juxa , I might not be a local but definetly family[wink wink]..lol Illahi nabad ha keeno, waan uu soconey xamar since I could remember.

Mzee, safar salama.. Baal marka tagtiid aad sii ficaan uu degtiid - come back to SOL and share your finding. Dont be like Ibti, since she has gone weey naga goosatee..lol, Alpha only tells us about his maid and how much he avoids the sun - nothing useful there lol. Honestly, thats not only a brave move but a wise one too. My cousin who returned not so long ago, swears it was the best decision he has ever made, he sounds happy and his business is booming...marka, dont be suprised if some of us, also follow soon. Goodluck!

Coofle - 'faadumo soon-qaad' waa daqaan laa garaneyoo especially among the societies that reside by the coast of the Indian Ocean, you will find the same daqaan in Zanzibar,Mombasa, Tanga, Dar es salaam etc - only the coastal towns.. illeen xita Mogadishu walagaa daqmaa sidaasi aah? I am sure its un-islamic practice - it sounds so wrong, one cant marry just for ramadan then divorce when ramadan ends. Swahiligu wexee uu bixiyeen 'mke wa uji' = the porridge wife [porridgka ayee kuu afuuran] Looking forward to ramadan, I pray I would be in good health and well being ..amiin
