  6. ^According to all children parents should never do anything in public, including listening to music - mine got into the car, with her friend yesteday, whilst an oldie was blasting on my car stereo, you should have seen her face and how quick she was to turn it off..lol - I tell you, if I were to listen to her, I would be in a care home by now... yaa old aa? To them perhaps we seem ancient..lool
  7. ^none of those look appealing - one can find maxi dresses for a fraction of her prices, jazz it up with a nice long cardigan, hijaab and voila! one is modestly dressed.. Speaking of trends - I love the colourful bright colours that are in now.
  8. Lol@Ngonge - dont frett all girls do that , mine tells me am old whenever I suggest am joining some club or gym - she says ' your old now hoyo, do you really need to be doing that?'...lool
  9. ^Eeew @ nuune Ngonge - it means you have gotten too comfortable - Africa requires a certain state of mind, one should be ready for all the hussle - lack of basic necessities etc.. Even though I love being in Africa, I know it will take some getting use to all over again to the hussles - Last time, went to Western Union to get some money, it took nearly 2 hrs for them to process - I was fuming, my British time keeping couldnt not handle 2hrs watching this man type, check, type again..for a process that should only take 10 -20 min tops...
  10. Juxa, tell her off. My line manager is being bullied by a fellow manager - kolba anagu bee nogu soo carareeysaa changing plans on weekly basis to fulfill the demand of her equal - waa yabee! Looking forward to our meeting this friday, going to tell her to go get some balls - yee naa wareriini..lol Rant hat off! - Morning all!
  11. ^lol - I am sure there is no comparison between SL and this little English town dee - do come, its only an hour away from the hussle and bussle of London.
  12. ^Lol, is that Mr Ngonge's fantasy?...No birds chirping today as its drizzling with rain, but definetly on sight there are horses feeding in the distance, a barge passing by on the canal, an old lady in her wellies /rain coat walking her little dog ...I should take a picture..but too lazy.
  13. Morning Ngonge I should take a picture of the fields, they look so lush...soooo green.
  14. ^True - it would have been nice to know how they lived, what they did etc..I would have loved to know more of the women in my bloodline, am sure I owe them for something or other..lol
  15. ^I agree there is a need for support for the youth - increasingly, I see young people and their families in desparate situations. One thing that frustrates me more, is families keeping things hush until things gets so bad - my advice is seek help, talk to teachers, welfare officers, doctors etc etc...never allow things to get so bad, when the only option for some young people is throwing themselves in the deep end, there is so much support available out there... I pray the little girl is found safe and sound.. Someone somewhere has failed her indeed.
  16. Masha'allah - we knew that of Jac though...
  17. Rudy, I share your love for cheese cake - I tend to have mine after a long day..soo soothing..lol
